Mississippi State Flag, North Carolina, Time Capsule and Honoring Real Patriots Act

**  Mississippi state legislature passes bill  to remove confederate (Confederate)  symbol from state flag in historic vote.  (CNN  Come on guys, "Capital C!!!")

**  Mississippi House and Senate vote to remove Confederate insignia from state flag.  (At least they knew it was "Capital C.")

**  50 Alamance County leaders:  Confederate monument 'represents  an ideology incompatible with today.'  (North Carolina.  Want it removed for "public safety."  Keep in mind that whenever people say remove the statues for public safety, what they really mean is the violence and possible confrontation their committing hate crimes cause.)

**  Alamance commissioners  rip actions of county leaders  who called for Confederate monument to be moved.  (North Carolina)

** Confederate flag losing prominence 155 years after the Civil War.

**  Hearing planned for removal of local Confederate monument.

**  Time capsule discovered  in downtown Raleigh Confederate monument base.  (North carolina.  Keep in mind it would not have been discovered had the statue not been removed for "public safety."

**  Letter to Editor:  The Confederate flag is a wretched symbol.

**  Honoring Real Patriots Act would rename all military bases currently named  after Confederate generals.
