Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

If the Capitol Attack Was a Riot, Then, What Were the BLMers Doing Out on the Streets Back in 2020? Was That a Riot As Well?

FEBRUARY 10, 2023

**  Rioter who menaced  officer with Confederate flag gets prison.  (U.S. Capitol Jan. 6 attack.  I only saw pictures of him with the flag and pole over his shoulder.  And, of course, all those BLMers out in the streets in 2020, were there for social justice.)

**  Renaming brings to mind history, the cost of wokeness.  (It will cost a lot of money for all ther renaming.  I still think that the cost should be paid by those who want the names changed.)

Confederadication: Oh That Flag!! The Progress Made by BLM Riots. Luke Combs and Fort Jackson

AUGUST 13, 2022

**  Confederate flag is gone, but new Burlington residents who felt threatened are unhappy with city's response.  (Gosh.  How horrible.)

**  Five years of  steady progress  since 'Unite the Right' rally.  (SPLC.  And that includes all the businesses and stores destroyed by the BLMers in 2020.)

**   7 Civil War streamers modern-day US Army units will be forced to remove.

*********************************

AUGUST 14, 2022

**  Luke Combs apologizes for Confederate flag use:  'I am now aware of how painful that image can be'.  (He is a country performer and had a you-know-what flag in a 2015 video.  Now Blacks can feel safe going to one of his concerts.)

**  Fort Jackson has  more Confederate names  than all but three military bases.  (South Carolina.  Streets named for Confederates.  It is named for Andrew Jackson, not Stonewall Jackson, but not on the army's "Hit List" but as you know, he owned slaves, so....)

What Are Confederate Flags? Canada, Louisiana, St. Louis and Gainesville

JULY 7, 2022

**  An epic new ad  from Republicans explains why Confederate flags are shameful and treasonous.  (From Upworthy.  That flag will never be shameful and treasonous to me, but I sure hate it when white supremacists wave it.)

**   Feds seek prison for  Capitol rioter who had Confederate flag.  (They sure got upset about that flag being in there.  Thos epeople who illegally enetered the Capitol were rioters, but what were the BLMers back in 2020?)

**  Confederate flag in  Wheatley, Ontario sparks concern, but officials lack authority to remove it.

**  Our views:  Louisiana separates itself further from its Confederate past.  (The Advocate)

**  St. Louis school now honors pioneering black educator after dropping Confederate's name.  (Formerly Kennard School.  Now the Betty Wheeler School.  She is deserving of the honor.   But again, why do all schools renamed have to be for Blacks?)

**  Protesters  call Gainesville 'Most Racist Small Town in Confederate States of America'.

The Second Civil War: There SPLC Goes Again, making Those Confederate Hit Lists

SEPTEMBER 28, 2021

**  Five Missouri schools have Confederate names, some want to that to change.  (Our good ol' SPLC boys are at it again making their famed "Lists" of names and things they don't like because they are Confederate and thus racist.  Of course, I've always thought that hating any and all things Confederate is a bit racist in itself since Confederates were white people.

Still waiting for that lost of towns and cities where looting and burning took place last year by BLM as well as damage done.  But, kind of doubt it will ever be made as it makes their side look kind of bad.

The five Missouri schools and location:

Breckenridge  Elementary in Breckenridge

Breckenridge High in Breckenridge

MuCullough Elementary in Republic

Price Elementary in Republic

Jackson Park Elementary in University City

I can see a further problem with the two schools in Breckenridge, Missouri.  Can you?

SPLC also says there are Confederate-named schools in  Minnesota (3) California (2) and Washington (1).

Is It OK to Destroy and Burn Confederate Stuff? Confederate Holidays. Virginia, Florida, Georgia

SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

**  Suspect identified in last summer's United Daughters of the Confederacy  fire in Richmond but no one will be prosecuted due to limited evidence.  (Sad. R.  Fire set last year during BLM riots.  Actually I'm surprised that any effort would be made to find who did it as it seems that it is now open season on any and all things Confederate.  So, you committed a hate crime, but it is ok because it is ok to hate Confederates.)

**  Gaston County  Confederate monument back in court Monday.

**********************************

SEPTEMBER 18, 2021

**  State senator  targets Florida's Confederate holidays.  (She's a Democrat of course.)

**  King George  board wants detailed info about moving  Confederate memorial.  (Virginia)

SPLC Again, Southern Baptists, Chris Green, and Robert E. Lee

JUNE 12, 2021

**  Southern Poverty Law Center podcast dives into Stone Mountain Park's  future, Confederate imagery.  (Do you think they will be for or against the "Confederate imagery?"   Hey, SPLC, where is that list on the number of businesses looted, burned and destroyed during last years BLM riots?))

**  If we're rescinding Southern Baptist history, let's undo our link with the Confederacy.

**  Chris' journey:  One year after a Confederate statue hit Chris Green in Portsmouth, he fights his way back from a traumatic brain injury.  (He was there with rioters pulling down a Confederate statue and they pulled it down on him.  The riot was at the behest of a Virginia state senator and various NAACP people.  Should Green's family bring lawsuit against them and the other rioters who maimed him?)

****************************

JUNE 13, 2021

**  Confederate Robert E. Lee's racist legacy fuels renaming push.  (Aljazeera.  Arabic news channel.  Of course, that part of the world is noted for its love of all people.)

**  Virginia county plans to rename Robert E. Lee Highway  for abolitionist.  (Arlington County.    Renamed for John Langston, a black man.  Of course, all Confederate-named items must be renamed after black people.)

Who Removed the Monument in New Orleans? How About a BLM Riot Month Observance in May?

APRIL 24, 2021

**  A toppled Confederate monument in New Orleans removed -- but not by New Orleans officials.  (Honoring Confederate Father  Abram J. Ryan.  No one knows who "done it.  Who knows, possibly Sad R. since they're so zealous.  Maybe Asheville.)

**  April claimed as Confederate  History and Heritage Month.   (Boone County, Arkansas.  I wonder what BLM. SPLC and NAACP think about this.)

Maybe folks ought to proclaim the month of May as "Beginning of BLM Riots Month" since that is when they broke out last year.

**  Confederate Memorial Day ceremonies set for Monday.  (Mississippi)

**  Agreement means protests over Confederate monument can continue in Burlington.  (North Carolina)

*******************************

APRIL 25, 2021

**  Confederate Memorial Day  observances draw  protest and counter-protest in Greenville.  (South Carolina.  It appeared to be about 12 BLMers and about 5 or 6 pro-Confederate.)

So Sad That Cities Across America Have to Prepare for BLM Riots As Decision in Minneapolis Approaches

What has the United States come to where anytime court decisions are handed down that a certain group of people don't like, every city has to prepare for the inevitable BLM riots (even though our extremely biased media refers to it as peaceful demonstrations and civil unrest)?

So sad.

Now, I agree with PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS, but that is rare when that certain group is involved.  It degenerates to confrontation with authorities, lots of really bad language, burning, looting and in general rioting.

This did not happen when O.J. was acquitted in one of the most racist trials in U.S. history, but that was because that certain group got what they wanted.

Wouldn't it be something is the verdict goes against Blacks and their BLM, if they did have peaceful demonstrations?

We don't need another 2020.

I guess some folks need those new large screen HDTVs, top of the line cell phones, jewelry and clothes.

Did Democrats or Republicans Start the KKK? Well, What Party Did Those Original KKK Guys Belong To?

APRIL 3, 2021

**  Letter:  Puncturing the Confederate 'Lost Cause' mythology.  (Hey Dude.  If you don't win, you lost.  Did the Confederacy succeed?)

**  Cop suspended over Confederate flag rant on Tik Tok:  'F-------- Democrats  started the KKK.'  (Well, they did.  Potty mouth cop.  But, now that we are holding everyone accountable to what happened in the past. it is time for the Democrats to own up to their KKK past.  Right guys?)

***********************************************

APRIL 4, 2021

**  Confederate symbols prove difficult to remove in many states.

**  Minnesota school's 'Rebel' mascot   to change after petition compares it to Confederate soldier.  (We all know that all it takes is one black person to be offended to "Get 'Er Done.)

**  The fight over  Confederate statues  continues in the South, despite last summer's protests.  (That's a good one.  Protests?  They were more like riots complete with burning and looting.  Let's hope that now the media knows what a riot looks like after that was what they called the attack on the Capitol in January.  Last summer it was simply civil unrest.)

No Confederate Flag, No BLM Flag. Kentucky, Arkansas, North Carolina, New Jersey, Raleigh and Florida

MARCH 27. 2021

**  Centre College students trying to get Confederate statue near campus removed.  (Danville, Kentucky)

**  Fort Smith  Confederate statue:  Talks in limbo.  (Arkansas)

**  Arizona GOP  wants felony for  protesters who damage  statues.  (If damaging statues is a hate crime (which it is) and hate crimes are a felony, then go for it.)

**  Why is North Carolina  paying this proud Son of Confederate Veterans to lock up black men.  (Yahoo News.  Shame on Yahoo for running an article like this.  Sounds like the New York Times or Washington Post.)

**  NJ 'teacher, activist' accused  of starting riot that topple Confederate statue surrenders.  (Accused of the Raleigh, N.C. riot and arrested.  I still find that hard to believe.  I figured somebody who did something like he is accused of would receive a good citizenship award.)

**  Confederate namesake school demoted teacher  for not removing Black Lives Matter  flag.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  Robert E. Lee High School.   Hey, if you can't have a Confederate flag, you can't have a BLM flag.  Fair's Fair.)

Is BLM a Terrorist Group? 7 Civil War Battles, Kentucky, Kappa Alpha Order, Military and SPLC List

MARCH 6, 2021

**  Letter to Editor:  Confederate flag and terrorism.  (Personally, I regard anything with BLM on it as terrorism.)

**  7 Critical Civil War Battles.  (How about this!!  Actual Civil War.  I'll list these three in my Saw the Elephant:  Civil War blog tomorrow in case you're wondering what they were.)

**  Confederate statue won't be moved to city property.  (Owensboro, Kentucky, Daviess County)

**  Tribune Star Editorial:  Fraternity should disassociate itself  with Confederate icon.  (Terre Haute, Indiana.  Kappa Alpha Order at Indiana State University.)

**  Commentary:  As military seeks to eliminate extremism, it must also remove  symbols of discrimination.

***********************************

MARCH 7, 2021

**  SPLC report:  24 Confederate symbols removed  from NC in 2020, 2nd ranking among states for removal.  (And when SPLC talks, people listen.  Now if they would just make up that list of BLM "peaceful demonstrations" last summer that turned into riots with any combination of confrontations, hate crimes (attacking Confederate statues), looting and burning I would be a happy lad.  Come on guys, you know you can do it (unless you're afraid it might make your side look bad.))

CNIDDCCSAQAPWSVCSA: Worst Military Acronym Ever?!

MARCH 4, 2021

**   County votes to move Confederate  statue from courthouse lawn.  Cost, timeline still unknown.  (Statesville, North Carolina.  Again, notice it wasn't put up to public vote.  Too bad. All costs of removal should be paid by those who want it gone.)

**  Kentucky  among states that removed a combined 168 Confederate monuments in 2020.  (Guess who's list?    Three removed in Kentucky.  Still waiting for that SPLC "List" of BLM demonstrations that turned into riots.  Come on guys, you know you can do it.)

**  Bill Scott:  Contempt for society is why some people fly the Confederate flag.

**  The commission that has been appointed to rename the Confederate military bases is called the Commission on the Naming of Items of the Department of Defense that Commemorates the Confederate States of America or Any Person Who Served Voluntarily with the Confederate States of America.  In short:  CNIDDCCSAQAPWSVCSA.   Now, that's a real mouthful acronym indeed!

Even the Acronym Is Too Long.  --Old Secesh

Well, Here Come the George Floyd and O.J. Military Bases. Vandalizing Confederate Statues Is a Hate Crime.

MARCH 3, 2021

**  A tiny NC   mountain town is addressing  its big Confederate past.  (Sylva, N.C.)

**  Texas voters' views  shifting on abortion, pot, gambling and Confederate monuments, poll finds.  (Half of them would leave Confederate monuments where they are, either as is, or with historical context.  I doubt that the BLM and their supporters are going to be too keen on having people vote on keeping the statues after what happened in Virginia in November.)

**  Commissioners tasked with scrubbing Confederate base names sworn-in at first meeting.  (Let's hope that not every renaming will be for a black person, but fear that is exactly what will happen in today's climate.  I can even foresee a George Floyd military base in our future.  Probably an O.J. one as well.)

*************************************************

MARCH 4, 2021

**  Confederate-era  statues vandalized  at Atlanta's historic Oakland Cemetery.  (I se BLM is getting a jump on the spring riot/hate crime season.  Again, that is not a simple case of vandalism when they do it, that is nothing short of hate crimes and should be prosecuted as that.)

**  Confederate  monument protests mirror St. Augustine's  Civil Rights struggle in new exhibit.  (Florida.  A very prejudiced artist.)

**  In Alabama, a vote to keep Confederate monument protections.  (A win for us of sorts.)

Come On SPLC, Where's That BLM Riot List? Virginia, Florida, Confederate Flags in Oregon, An Indian Confederate General, Georgia

MARCH 2, 2021

**  Virginia leads the nation with the highest number of Confederate monuments, symbols removed.  (SPLC again.  71 were removed.   Sure wish they'd make that list about BLM "peaceful demonstration" that became violent and had looting, rioting, arsons and hate crimes committed against Confederate monuments.)

**  Confederate symbols removed from Florida in 2020.  (There were ten of them according to none other than SPLC, the Southern Law Poverty Center.)

**  Ban Confederate flags at school?  Committee focuses on new legislation.  (Oregon.  Of course if you ban Confederate flags, BLM items should also be banned as they support rioting, looting, arson, violent  confrontation and hate crimes.  When people go after a Confederate monument that is a hate crime.)

**  The last Confederate general to surrender was an Indian.  (Hey, every so often you just have to have something from the real Civil War, not this liberal revisionist stuff.  In case you're wonder, the general's name was Stand Watie.)

**  Ga, lawmaker authors bill to abolish Confederate monuments in the Peach State.  (A black woman.)

Civil War II: SPLC Says 160 Monuments Gone. Where's That new List, Guys? Sad R., Michigan,

FEBRUARY 23, 2021

**  SPLC: 160 Confederate monuments taken down last year.  (That would be the ultra-racist group Southern Poverty Law Center who are so noted for their exhaustive lists, especially their hit list for Confederate anythings.  They list 'em and want them to come down.  Well done, guys and gals.  But, we're still waiting for your list of BLM "peaceful demonstrations" that turned into "civil unrest" of the rioting, looting, arson, confrontational and hate crimes vs. Confederate statues from back in 2020.)

**  Some reflections on Richmond and Confederate statues.  (Sad R.)

**  Committee unveils three possible changes to Confederate statue in West Michigan.  (Allendale, Michigan.  That statue has sure caused controversy.

Three possible options:

1.  Replace it with abstract statue with quotes about the war.

2.  Replace it with statue of Benjamin Jones, an escaped slave and Union soldier who settled there.

3.  Put plexiglass around the existing statue.

**  Ryan Upchurch shares Confederate flag video among  Luke Combs  drama.  (Country music)

**  Hearing on Confederate monument postponed.  (Brunswick, Ga.  It was defaced with BLM letters last summer.)

Don't Replace Removed Confederate Monuments With Black Ones. Again, You Want It Gone, You Pay To Remove It.

**  The AR Project replaces Confederate statues with racial justice leaders.  (And that is not in the least racist.  No way, no how.)

**  Commentary:  Confederate holiday fuels oppression.

**  Artists sought for John Lewis tribute at old Confederate monument site.  (Decatur, Georgia.  John Lewis deserves a monument, but not in place of a removed Confederate one.  Put it elsewhere at the courthouse.)

**  Roxboro residents raising money to relocate Confederate  monuments from city court house.  (Roxboro, N.C.  Raising $25,000.  Like I've said before, you want it gone, YOU pay for it.  This should cover removal and a new place for it.)

**  1 for, 1 against removal of Confederate monument in Newton.  (North Carolina.  This referred to documents presented before the council.)

**  Rioter hit cop with Confederate flag-adorned hockey stick:  report.  (Capitol riot.  Hopefully the media will remember what a riot looks like when BLM continues theirs this summer.)

**  Committee to offer  recommendation on Botetourt County Confederate monument.  (Virginia)

**  Controversial Confederate monument finds new home in storage unit.  (Lawrenceville, Georgia)

**  Activist who removed  Confederate flag from South Carolina State Capitol in 2015 to address URI community Feb. 2.  (Univ. of Rhode Island.  At the time, I thought this was absolutely horrible, but it pales compared to all the violence, rioting, looting, burning and hate crimes committed by BLM this past summer.)
