Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

Founding Fathers Zero, WWMs One

**  JANUARY 4, 2023

**  Virginia school board votes to rename  high school named after Founding Father who owned slaves. (Sad R., Virginia.  George Wythe High School.  Renamed it for Katherine Johnson of NASA, a black woman.  Why is it that everything renamed has to be of a black person.  Don't get me wrong, she is very deserving of all honors, but COME ON!!  Will Wythe County and Wytheville in Virginia now have to be renamed?)

I must admit that I had never heard of George Wythe (but have gotten cheap gas in Wytheville, Virginia often).  Go to Wikipedia and read about him.  A remarkable man even if he did have slaves.

JANUARY 5, 2022

**  Nashville suburb sues Tennessee Historical Commission over Confederate named streets.  (Forest Hills, Tennessee)

**  The man who took down  Richmond's Confederate monuments.  (Devon Henry, a black man.  Of course, he made a whole lot of money doing it and also had a political inside track with the mayor.)

The Second Civil War: Alabama, North Carolina, Arkansas, Maryland and Georgia

SEPTEMBER 6, 2022

**  Alabama superintendent fights to remove Confederate school names.  (Montgomery, Alabama.  Three schools still have Confederate names.  I wonder if the superintendent is a black person or white person?)

**  White supremacists  launch threats after bulldozing Confederate monument.  (North Carolina.  Like I said before.  There are idiots on both sides.  The mayor should not have threats made on him, but definitely should be recalled and if that doesn't work, defeated in the next election.  That's the American way.)

**  Fort Smith's request to stop flying Confederate flag will go before Arkansas History Commission.

**  3 Naval Academy name changes  recommended due to Confederate ties.  (Annapolis, Maryland)

**  Promised  changes to Confederate imagery at Stone Mountain slow coming.  (Georgia)

Idiots Rule

SEPTEMBER 3, 2022

**  White supremacist arrested at Hollywood Florida street sign protest.  (What an idiot.)

*****************************

SEPTEMBER 5, 2022

**  Mayor asks North Carolina governor to declare state of emergency after threats over Confederate monument removal.  (Enfield.  What an idiot.  If other idiots are actually making threats, that is idiocy as well.  Have a recall vote and/or next election, don't vote  for the idiot.)

*****************************

SEPTEMBER 6, 2022

**  2 years after pledge to rename Confederate schools, students left wondering when.  (Montgomery, Alabama)

**  Plane pulls Confederate flag over NASCAR All-Star race,  (Sorry Bubba.)

All This Proves Is That There Are Idiots on Both Sides of the Issue.

What Are Confederate Flags? Canada, Louisiana, St. Louis and Gainesville

JULY 7, 2022

**  An epic new ad  from Republicans explains why Confederate flags are shameful and treasonous.  (From Upworthy.  That flag will never be shameful and treasonous to me, but I sure hate it when white supremacists wave it.)

**   Feds seek prison for  Capitol rioter who had Confederate flag.  (They sure got upset about that flag being in there.  Thos epeople who illegally enetered the Capitol were rioters, but what were the BLMers back in 2020?)

**  Confederate flag in  Wheatley, Ontario sparks concern, but officials lack authority to remove it.

**  Our views:  Louisiana separates itself further from its Confederate past.  (The Advocate)

**  St. Louis school now honors pioneering black educator after dropping Confederate's name.  (Formerly Kennard School.  Now the Betty Wheeler School.  She is deserving of the honor.   But again, why do all schools renamed have to be for Blacks?)

**  Protesters  call Gainesville 'Most Racist Small Town in Confederate States of America'.

Bringing Back Confederate-Named Schools in Virginia? Did You Hear the One About the Dumb Comedian?

JUNE 2, 2022

There were a whole lot of articles about the Kentucky Confederate statue being removed and the CMA  banning Confederate imagery.

**  Shenandoah County School Board votes against c(C)onfederate school name survey.  (Woodstock, Virginia.  They will vote on restoring the names of Stonewall Jackson High School and  Ashby-Lee Elementary at next month's board meeting.)

*****************************

JUNE 3, 2022

**  Students suspected of flying  of flying Confederate flag at Maryland school.  (La Plata, Maryland)

**  Tappahannock to remove Confederate figure.  (Essex County, Virginia.  The town council voted for removal. Of course, it was not put up for a people vote.)

**  Comedian stunned after asking a man in a Confederate  flag shirt if he is pro-slavery.  (Duh.  slavery was abolished with the 13th Amendment in 1865.  Looks like the comedian didn't do too well in history class in school.)

A Virginia County Votes to Let Confederate Statue Remain

MAY 21, 2022

**  Charlotte Co.  votes to not relocate Confederate monument.  (Virginia.  The County Board of Supervisors voted 5-2 to leave it.  Finally, some politicians with backbone.  Better not let certain groups know about this.)

**  Shenandoah considers restoring Confederate school names.  (Virginia)

**  Supreme Court takes up right to sue over removal of Confederate monuments.  (Georgia)

I tell you, Virginia is starting to impress me with the way some are standing up against this onslaught.  I may have to cancel my boycott of that state.  (Not that they would care anyway.)

Even New Mexico and Those Three States Still Commemorating Confederate Memorial Day

MAY 12, 2022

**  Special Report:  The Confederacy legacy lingering in  Las Cruces.  (New Mexico.  John Robert Baylor sign.  SPLC sniffed this one out.  Made the list, you know.  Ain't no Confeds getting past these guys.)

**  In these three states, 'Confederate Memorial Day' is still observed.  (South Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama.  But, yet, we can celebrate Juneteenth?)

**  Hamilton council votes to support ban on hate symbols, including Confederate flag and swastika.  (Canada.  Did they also include BLM material?)

*****************************

MAY 13, 2022

About Those Confederate Memorial Day Observances in North Carolina and Alabama (Boy is SPLC Gonna Be Mad)

APRIL 24, 2022

**  State offices close for Confederate Memorial Day.  (North Carolina)

**  State offices close for Confederate Memorial Day.  (Alabama.  Boy, are BLM, NAACP and SPLC going to mad about this.  SPLC will probably make a list about it.)

**  Lusher Charter School finally gets a new name,  ending homage to  Confederate official.  (New Orleans.  Robert Mills Lusher was a Confederate tax collector and white supremacist.)

**************************

APRIL 25, 2022

**  Motion to remove Confederate monument from Bell County historic courthouse fails.  (Belton, Texas)

**********************************

NOVEMBER 6, 2021

**  Travis McMichael's Confederate license plate  deemed fair game in Arbery trial.  (Georgia)

**  Protesters slam  City Council over upcoming Confederate monument vote,  (Jacksonville, Florida.  They are upset, but so far in 2021, there have been 95 murders in Jacksonville.  How many of those murders were Black on Black?  Maybe this should be a bigger issue than a Confederate monument.)

**  Man sets truck truck with Confederate flag on fire in Centreville.  (Maryland.  Perhaps overreacting?)

**  Moving Confederate statues isn't like destroying ancient Palmyra.

Reburial of Gen. Forrest and Wife on September 17 and 18

SEPTEMBER 1, 2021

**  City leaders ponder Confederate statue.  (Augusta, Ga,)

**  Georgia has the most schools in the nation with c(C)onfederate names, says advocacy group.  46 CBS News Atlanta.  Looks like one of those many Confederate-named schools would have taught Channel 46 that Confederate was a proper name and should be capitalized.  They must have gone to a non-Confederate named school.

And guess who the advocacy group is?  None other than the good folks at SPLC.  I wonder how you get a college degree in advocacy?  Probably by making Confederate-hate lists.)

**  Is rural America becoming the new Confederacy.  (Yep.  They don't like rioting, looting and arson either.)

**  Human Relations Commission:  Move Confederate  monument.  (Edenton, North Carolina.  It was a 7-6 vote.  Guess who voted which way.)

**  Date set for private reburial of Nathan Bedford Forrest in Columbia.  (Tennessee.  Burial was September 17 and 18.  All sorts of precaution were used to prevent BLM and NAACP supporters from disrupting the funeral.  Even the location where the SCV was keeping the general and his wife before the reburial was kept secret so those people could not desecrate them further than they had in Memphis.  I am also sure, security measures will be made to keep the graves from being desecrated once all this is over.)

Civil War II: Canada, Va. Tech, Photographs, Georgia Schools and Tennessee

AUGUST 30, 2021

**  Confederate flag in Invermere stirs deep concern.  (British Columbia, Canada.  It was on the front of a truck.  It wasn't going to hurt anybody.)

**  Virginia Tech issues statement on reports LBGTQ flag stolen and replaced with Confederate flag.  (Say they're against all forms of prejudice.  What about the prejudice against all things Confederate.  That's a prejudice too.)

*******************************

AUGUST 31, 2021

**  A photographer's look at Florida's Confederate  monument sites.

**  Georgia leads country in schools named after Confederate leaders.  (Sounds like a SPLC thing to me.)

**  Vote to remove Confederate flag from Williamson County seal delayed for Sons of Confederate Veterans.  (Tennessee.  Have to wait until Feb. 2022.)

SPLC Makes Another List, Renaming, Monument, Capitol and NAACP

AUGUST 28, 2021

**  SPLC reveals new data on schools whose names glorify and pushes to change them.  (Imagine this racist group making another list like this.  And they still won't make that list about how many BLM "peaceful demonstrations" turned violent with looting, burning and rioting and how much damage was done last year.  Perhaps that would make their "Cause, Confederadication" look bad.)

(And, by the way, I am all in favor of changing the Confederate-named schools whose students are mostly Blacks.)

**  Northampton County Confederate monument comes down.

**  Rep. Richard Hudson:  Community input vital for Fort Bragg renaming.  (North Carolina)

******************************************

Civil War II: Hispanic Name, School Names, Sad VMI, Virginia, Geirgia

AUGUST 25, 2021

**  Hispanic caucus calls for Fort Hood to be renamed for Mexican-American general.  (Congress.  Renamed for Gen. Richard Cavazos.  A deserving person as well.  But, of course, there are those who want every base renamed for a black person. So, they might disagree.)

**  More than a year after vote, Montgomery community still waiting for school name change.  (Alabama.  Of course, that vote was by a school board.  The vote should have been by the public these schools in question serve.)

**  How VMI committees are working  to introduce more inclusivity on post.  (Virginia Military Institute.  Shame on them for the Jackson statue.  Of course, the term inclusivity means more black stuff.)

**********************************

AUGUST 26, 2021

**  Updated:  Northampton County to remove Confederate monument Thursday.  (Virginia.  100 years old.)

**  Athens' Confederate memorial is back up in a new spot.  (Georgia.  Dedicated in 1872.)

Why Must Everything Be Renamed for Blacks? SPLC Again, Oh Those Fairs, Oh Those Flags. COVID-19 and the Civil War, Schools

AUGUST 14, 2021

**  Correcting revisionist history:  SPLC challenges more than 100 schools honoring Confederate leaders to change their names.  (They even made a lost.  Imagine them making a list.  Of course, I'm sure they want all of them to be renamed for Blacks.)

**  Flag debate rises again  with fair season.  (You know which flags are in question.  The way I look at it, if a person is offended, don't buy it or look at it or even do business with the person.)

********************************

AUGUST 15, 2021

**  AS US COVID-19 deaths top the Civil War's toll, we're repeating disease history.  (Time Magazine.  Well, how about that.  No statues or flags here!!!)

**  Northampton  school board gets first look at 'hate symbols' policy.  (Massachusetts.  Confederate flags of course.  Is there anything about BLM paraphernalia on that list?  That is pretty much hate in my books.)

**  Hampton to rename five schools called for servant owners, Confederates and segregationists.  (Of course, they will be renamed for Blacks.)

Hey SPLC, Where's That List of 'Hit' Businesses During the BLM Riots? Why Does It Take Certain People So Long to Become Offended?

When a day only has one or two articles, that doesn't mean there weren't others.  I don't write about the ones that are new or that give other information.

JULY 21, 2021

**  'Never give up':  Statue of Confederate general removed from Louisiana city after years of activism.  (The good folks at SPLC.  Lafayette, Louisiana.  Actually, this years of activism are within the last few years.  The statue was put there 99 years ago.  Why wasn't it offensive back then and suddenly, "Woke, there you are?"

And, by the way, SPLC, we're still waiting on one of your lists to tell how many and where businesses were burned and looted during last year's BLM riots.  Let's get to it, guys.)

**  Residents  speak out about removal of Confederate monument.  (Greenville, North Carolina)

**********************************

JULY 22, 2021

**  Polk Co.  commission takes sudden action to move Confederate monument out of downtown Bartow.  (Florida.  It will be moved to a cemetery.)

**  Jacksonville  schools renaming underway:  Riverside High reveals new logo but nickname will stay.  (Florida.  Nickname is "The Generals."   Formerly the Robert E. Lee High School.)

**  Virginia plaza that once honored Robert E. Lee to be renamed. (Roanoke, Virginia. The statue there had a hate crime committed against it last year during BLM protests.  Will be renamed for Henrietta Lacks, a black woman whose cells are important for cancer research who died in 1951.  Again, a deserving purpose, but do all renamed places have to be renamed for black people?)

I'm Thinking SPLC Doesn't Release a "Hit Businesses" List Because That Might Make Their Side Look Bad.  --Old Secesh

At Least They Are Hearing Both Sides. Palatka, Perryville, Sculptor, Virginia. Do All Renamed Confederate Items Have To Be for Blacks?

JULY 15, 2021

**  Redmond councilors hear both sides on Confederate flag controversy at 4th of July parade.  (Oregon.  Well, at least they are hearing both sides.)

**  Proposed Putnam  ordinance that would protect Palatka Confederate statue  stirs ugly debate.  (Florida)

**  Confederate flag will remain a part of Perryville's city flag.  (Kentucky.  The Battle of Perryville took place here.)

**  Sculptor offers artistic clapback to Confederate monuments with chilling sculpture about black life.

**  Fairfax County  appoints task force  to review changing two  Confederate highway names.  (Virginia.  Well, will they or won't they?)

**  Vance High School officially renamed; other Confederate names to be changed in Charlotte. (North Carolina.  It will now be the Julius J. Chambers High School.  Again, Chambers is a worthy man, but why do all Confederate name changes have to be renamed for Blacks?)

**  Christiansburg approves tribute to African American history to be installed near Confederate  monument.  (Virginia.  Always room for another historical monument.)

Confederadication: The TikTok 'Woke' Gal, Charlottesville, Confederate As a Proper Name, Portsmouth, Arlington House, South Carolina

JUNE 10, 2021

**  'Redneck' TikTok user sets fire to Confederate flag in viral  video.  (She is officially a "Woke" gal now.)

**  Charlottesville's confederate (Confederate) statues coming down nearly four years after violent rally.  (Virginia.  17 ABC/Fox News.  Looks like an ABC station would know that Confederate is a proper name.  Of course, the reason the rally turned violent was the large turnout of the political left.  Both sides were violent.)

**  A year since protesters tore down  the Confederate monument in Portsmouth, one demonstrator says she has 'no regrets.'   (Sadly, those who were arrested  were let off, especially that state senator.  They were guilty.)

**  Jaguars donate  JV, varsity  uniforms to Confederate schools being renamed.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  Never exactly sure what they have against the confederacy since their players are earning all that money.)

**  Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee memorial, reckons with its history of slavery.  (Arlington, Virginia.   Any history of the structure should include the role played by slaves.)

***********************************

JUNE 11, 2021

**  SC business owner fought  neighbor's Confederate flag.  New documentary tells the story.  (Orangeville, South Carolina.  Tiny sliver of land next to Edisto Creamery has a Confederate flag flying on it.  Used to be part of a bbq place.  I am of the opinion that the SCV should take the flag down.)

Louisville Flags, 'The Lost Civil War', North Carolina, Charlottesville, Car Racing and Flags, Changing School Names?

JUNE 9, 2021

**  Pride flags stolen, replaced with Confederate flag in Louisville.  (Kentucky)

**  Ohio writer explores  the past of "Lost Civil War."  (A new book about Civil War sites that are no longer with us including destroyed during the war, by nature and even up to what BLM and the college students are doing to Confederate monuments.  Truly lost history.)

*********************************

JUNE 10, 2021

**  Confederate monument's fate moves closer to getting moved.  (Laurinburg, North Carolina.  Erected in 1912.  Again, how long must something be there before some folks figure out they are offended by it?  Evidently a long time.)

**  Charlottesville will remove two Confederate statues, but the next steps are uncertain.  (Virginia.  Again, all costs with removal should be paid for by those who want them gone.)

**  Confederate flag  in car at NC racetrack prompts apology from race organizers in Winston-Salem.  (Ridiculous.)

**  Should schools named after Confederate generals change their names?  (If the majority of the students are Blacks they definitely should.  Otherwise put it up to the alumni, parents and students who go there.)

JUNE 5, 2021

About the Forrest Removal, Birmingham's Law-Breaking Mayor, the NFL's Jaguars and Washington and Lee University and the Problem With College Professors

JUNE 4, 2021

**  Man who waved Confederate  flag at removal of KKK founder's remains under investigation.   (Memphis, Tennessee.  Newsweek magazine.  Looks like Newsweek would know that Confederate is a proper name.  Of course, no mention was made of Memphis' highly questionable action to get rid of the monument in the first place.  Plus, the SCV is paying for the removal and that should have been paid for by those who want it gone.)

**  'It was the best decision':  Mayor Woodfin reflects on decision to remove confederate (Confederate) monument one year later.  Birmingham, Alabama.  Looks like WBRC 6  would know that Confederate is a proper name and should be capitalized.  The mayor said the people were demonstrating and trying to pull the statue down, when they were actually rioting.)

**  Jaguars  to buy uniforms for four schools  getting rid of confederate (Confederate) names.  (Jacksonville, Florida, Jaguars NFL team.  Looks like they would know that Confederate is a proper name and needs to be capitalized.)

**  Fort Smith sued for flag removal; new state monuments law cited.  (Arkansas)

*********************************

JUNE 5, 2021

**  NC appeals court halts removal of Confederate monument.  (Sad Asheville.  The Vance monument.)

**  Washington and Lee University to keep Confederate name.  (Virginia.  But they will change names on campus.  Faculty members voted last July to change the name.  Having college professors do any kind of judgement on the Confederacy is always bad.  Let's just say they are more than a little bit prejudiced.)
