**  Federal government facilitates donations to an organization that praises Confederate traitors.  (Sons of Confederate Veterans.  This was in the Washington Post.  Do you think maybe this might be just a little biased?  Yep, just like our Founding Fathers were traitors.)

**  It turns out Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is a Jim Crow Confederate, according to Biden.  (Arizona.  In the federalist.)

**  Maya Wiley cites Confederacy in argument to allow noncitizens to vote.

**  Virginia Flaggers protest in Lexington.

**  Northam on highlights, controversies and his future.  (Virginia governor.  He is glad he took Confederate statues down.  About the only reason I'd want to move to this state would be to vote against him.)

**  Hoyer, Democrats press Senate to act on removing statues of Confederates, racists from Capitol.  (Can you even imagine a the Democrats, the Party of Jim Crow, doing something like that.  Maybe they want to make amends?)

**   Student suspended for  flying Confederate flag; mom says it's not racism, but history.  (Minnesota.  As long as students with anything BLM also get suspended.)

**  Bill would strike  holidays from state calendar.  (Florida.  Would remove Lee and Davis birthdays and Confederate Memorial Day.  Also would remove any provision against  mutilation or  disrespect for anything Confederate.  (Of course, it is those wily old Democrats again.)

**  Charlotte street named for Confederate leader changed to  Druid Hills Way.  (Charlotte, North Carolina.  Replaced Jefferson Davis Street.  It is the first of nine streets to be renamed because of you-know-what.  Actually, I was surprised it wasn't named after some black person.)

**  Democrats  press Schumer  on removing Confederate statues from Capitol.  (Washington, D.C..   Can you imagine Democrats doing something like that?  And, remember, this is the political party that brought you good old Jim Crow.)

SEPTEMBER 26, 2021

**  Richmond's Confederate statues are gone.  What should replace them?  (OK, BLM, NAACP and SPLC.  What do you think?  And, try not to be racist.)

**  DeKalb County's 'Indian War' cannon may be removed by county commissioners.  (Georgia.  The cannon is from the 1836 war to remove Indians from Georgia.  Placed by UDC.  As such, has two strikes already against it.  The Confederate memorial has already been removed.

Why Does It Take Some Folks So Long to Realize Something Offends Them? California, Virginia, North Carolina and U.S. Grant

**  Employee no longer working for Elk Grove Unified School District after Confederate flag display.  (California.  Hopefully the same would apply to anyone displaying any BLM materials.)

**  **  110 year old Confederate monument removed from long time home.  (Franklin, Virginia.  Of course, I always have to wonder why it took certain people so long to figure out they were offended by anything that had been around for that long.  Being relocated to a cemetery.  It is the 8th Confederate monument relocated in Hampton Roads since 2020.)

**  Courthouse no place for Confederate monuments.  (North Carolina)

**  Truth-telling exhibit planned for Christiansburg town square.  (Virginia.  It will highlight black history of the county, including slavery.  I'm all for it.  There can never be too much about history, good, bad or ugly.)

**  How Confederate-era superstitions threaten the multiracial Democracy that  Ulysses Grant fought for.  (After that came the era of Jim Crow according to the article.)

**  Group calls on SC to discontinue  license plates  featuring Confederate flag.  (Let's see, you think it might be a black group?  Let's see.  It was CAIR, Council on American-Islamic Relations.  Not necessarily Blacks.  I wonder what they have to say about 9/11?)

**  Confederate statue in Dalton related to previous protests removed and relocated.  (Georgia.  General Joseph E. Johnston.  Moved to a private museum.  This paid for by UDC and they shouldn't have had to pay for it.  As I have said before, if you want it gone, put YOUR money where YOUR mouth is.)

**  How an ex-slave and a Confederate hero joined forces during  the Jim Crow era.  (A very interesting story about a new book about the case of a poor black farmer George Dinning charged with murder in Kentucky in the postwar South was defended by Bennett H. Young, a Confederate hero.  Well worth a read.)

**  New bill would ban Confederate flag at Michigan's Capitol.  (Introduced by a black state senator.  Also backing a bill making Juneteenth a state holiday.  Kind of racist sounding.)

**  Black history underestimated in public markers.  (I agree with this statement.  Blacks have accomplished many notable achievements and should be recognized.  Especially those who overcame Jim Crow restrictions.

**  Confederate reckoning:   The teaching of the history of the Confederacy.   (How should topics such as slavery, the Confederacy, Reconstruction and the Jim Crow era be taught.  I believe all should be taught.  growing up for me, slavery was glossed over, the Confederacy and Reconstruction played up and really nothing said about the Jim Crow era.  All of these should be  taught.  However, comparing Confederates to Nazis is absolutely not acceptable.)

**  'Direct affront.'  City streets may be renamed over Confederacy, white supremacy ties."  (Charlotte, N.C.)

**  Call Trump's bluff on renaming military bases.  (Bloomberg)

**  Committee says Botetourt Confederate monument should end up in one of two places.  (Virginia.  In front of courthouse.)

**  Year of racial awakening may topple Richmond's last Confederate statue.  (And, believe me, the Lee statue needs to be cleaned and repaired at BLM cost since they committed the hate crimes and out of Sad R. as soon as possible.)
