Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

A Church Contextualizes. Renaming Those Bases, What Did Joe Biden Do? and SPLC Again

MARCH 20, 2022

**   Williamsburg's historic Briton Parish Episcopal Church  to contextualize its Confederate monument.  (Virginia.  Okay, I had to keep looking at the headline to see how to spell contextualize.)

**  Two Georgia bases to get new names thanks to Confederate ties.(Fort Benning and Fort Gordon)

**  Eisenhower, Powell and Tubman could replace Confederate names on Army bases.

**  Did Joe Biden vote to restore Jefferson Davis?

Confederadication: Washington Post Again, Alabama and the Rev.

JANUARY 24, 2022

**  Opinion:  Confederate heritage should not decide the fate of toppled monuments.  (Can you imagine the Washington Post saying something like this?  Amazing.)

**  Trial delayed  for man accused  of Selma Confederate monument theft.  (Alabama.  You mean it is actually wrong to do something illegal these days.  Who'd have "figgered."

**  We are in a Civil War; it is a war of good versus evil; and Democrats are the Confederate South.

**  Activist  pastor pushes back on claims he's not kin to  Robert E. Lee.  (That Rev. Rob. E. Lee again.)

How Many People Who Want Confederate Statues Removed Would Continue to Do So If They Have to Pay for It?

DECEMBER 12, 2021

**  First stones come off iconic pedestal that held Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond.  (It is about time.  What public officials permitted certain people to do to it as hate crimes is inexcusable.)

**  Remember the Robert E. Lee window in Boise?  A new historic figure just replaced him.  (Idaho..  Replaced by Leontine  Kelly, the first black Methodist  bishop.  Of course, Lee had to be replaced by a black person.)

********************************

DECEMBER 13, 2021

**  3 speak on Catawba  County Confederate statue debate.  (Hickory, North Carolina)

**  Bizarre Nathan Bedford Forrest statue finally removed  after more than two decades of mockery.  (The Daily Beast)

**  King George resident will pay for relocation  of Confederate monument.  (Virginia.  A private citizens will pay for it.  This is what should always be done.  I wonder how many of the people who want the statues removed would continue to want that to happen if they have to pay for it themselves?)

Confederadication: National Cathedral, Charlottesville, Black Monuments, Fort Belvoir, Parades

SEPTEMBER 24, 2021

**  National Cathedral commissions racial-justice themed windows to replace Confederate  iconography.  (Washington, D.C.  Really.  Now in religion?)

**  Charlottesville  starts next step  in bidding process for Confederate statues.  (Virginia.  There should be no bidding.  The statues should be turned over to the SCV and/or UDC for them to decide what to do with them.  All expenses for relocation should be paid for by Charlottesville, or better yet, those who want them gone.)

**  Monuments  marking end of slavery replace Robert E. Lee statue in Virginia.  (Sad R., of course.  The new city law would seem to be only monuments to Blacks can be put up now.  Eventually, I'm sure Monumentless Avenue will have nothing but black statues.)

**  Input sought for new military base  names, including Fort Belvoir.  (Virginia.  Belvoir was the name of a plantation and you know that means slaves.)

**************************************

SEPTEMBER 25, 2021

**  Confederate group fights to wave battle flag in Georgia parade.  (Alpharetta, Georgia.  Banned the Confederate flag.   SCV challenging the ban.  If Confederate flags not allowed, then no other flag except U.S. or state should be allowed either.)

You Want That Statue Removed. Pay for It Yourself. Memphis, Mouton, Louisiana, Charlottesville, Capitol and Ozarks

JULY 17, 2021

**  Black Memphis clergy back efforts to remove Confederate marker in Collierville town square. (Tennessee.  Imagine Blacks doing something like that.  I know, real hard to believe.  That is not racist a bit I imagine.)

**  Mouton statue to be moved as Confederate group backs down from legal battle.  (Louisiana)

**  Public reacts to removal plans of downtown Lafayette's  Confederate statue.  (Louisiana.  The Mouton statue again.  The UDC will move it after town pays $25,000.  At least that's fair as long as the move is no more than $25,000.  If it is more, then the town should pay more.  However, even a better idea is to have those who want it moved pay for it themselves, not the city.  Hey folks, put your money where your mouths are.)

**  Charlottesville extends deadline  for hose interested in the Confederate statues.  (Virginia.  As long as the city pays all expenses involved, or, even better, those who want them moved pay for it.)

**  Senate Democrats introduce House-passed bill removing Confederate statues from U.S. Capitol.  (Wow, Democrats doing something like that?  Of course, the way all the headlines about this up until now screamed, I thought this was already a done-deal.)

**  A giant Confederate flag went up in the Ozarks.  One woman answered with this billboard.  (Missouri)

SPLC Again, Southern Baptists, Chris Green, and Robert E. Lee

JUNE 12, 2021

**  Southern Poverty Law Center podcast dives into Stone Mountain Park's  future, Confederate imagery.  (Do you think they will be for or against the "Confederate imagery?"   Hey, SPLC, where is that list on the number of businesses looted, burned and destroyed during last years BLM riots?))

**  If we're rescinding Southern Baptist history, let's undo our link with the Confederacy.

**  Chris' journey:  One year after a Confederate statue hit Chris Green in Portsmouth, he fights his way back from a traumatic brain injury.  (He was there with rioters pulling down a Confederate statue and they pulled it down on him.  The riot was at the behest of a Virginia state senator and various NAACP people.  Should Green's family bring lawsuit against them and the other rioters who maimed him?)

****************************

JUNE 13, 2021

**  Confederate Robert E. Lee's racist legacy fuels renaming push.  (Aljazeera.  Arabic news channel.  Of course, that part of the world is noted for its love of all people.)

**  Virginia county plans to rename Robert E. Lee Highway  for abolitionist.  (Arlington County.    Renamed for John Langston, a black man.  Of course, all Confederate-named items must be renamed after black people.)

Confederadication: Goodbye Vance. Statues, Jasmine With a Bad Name. Way to Go Rev. Rob. SPLC Speaks

MAY 17, 2021

**  Vance Monument's last days:  Demolition for removal starts today.  (Sad A., North Carolina.  And, they are not going to move it.  Just tear it down.  It stood for 120 years and they just now figured out they didn't like it?  Wonder of I can drive I-40 through that part of N.C. and not have to drive through that sad Asheville place?)

**  Letters:   Why Confederate statue must go; Columnist peddling racist lie.  (Baltimore, Md.)

**  Care guide for Confederate jasmine.  (Reckon they'll have to change the name.)

***************************

MAY 18, 2021

**  Washington Post fact checker says  Rev.  Ron Lee is not related to Confederate general.  (The Rev. Rob Lee has been outspoken in wanting Lee gone.  Thank goodness he is not related.  But should a man of the cloth say things that are not true?  Isn't there something in the Bible about that?)

**  Changing the name and narrative:  Students lead  movement to rename schools honoring Confederates.  (This from the vaunted folks at SPLC.  And it took George Floyd for those students to realize their schools were named after you-know whats?)

**  Proposed state law would ban hate symbols from public buildings, equipment.  (New York.  Just make sure that also includes BLM stuff.)

AUGUST 26, 2020

The Second Civil War: North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Idaho and Virginia

AUGUST 9, 2020

**  Gaston County residents fight for Confederate statue to stay.  (North Carolina.  Evidently, no BLMers showed up to counter-protest.  How about that!!  Also, the statue evidently has nor been defaced.  Thanks again, BLM.)

**  Rally urges removal of Broad Street  Confederate monument.  (Augusta, Georgia)

**  Protesters voice opinions  on Confederate statue at Putnam County courthouse.  (Palatka, Florida)

**  Idaho church removes  glass window of Confederate general.  (Boise, Idaho.  Boise First United Methodist Church.  I had to read this article to see why they would have Robert E. **  It's the Law:  Georgia law concerning Confederate statues.  (The law says you can't remove them.)

**  A divided Culpeper reckons with Confederate symbols.  (Virginia)

The Problem With Police. Confrontations Can Lead to Bloodshed. Was This a Case of Mistaken Identity?

AUGUST 4, 2020

**  Black Dallas church alleges intimidation by pro-police rally.  (I wrote about this earlier and have to say the church has a point in this matter.  But putting up a BLM banner means they're picking a side.)

**  What's the problem with the police?  Start with the negative reporting about them.  (Definitely.  I was just watching the Chicago police release video footage of protests at Columbus statue which shows what those officers had to endure, 49 police injured with 18 hospitalized.  Then during questions, all one reporter harped on was the black activist female who was injured by a cop that night.  Also the media being reluctant to call a protest that gets out of hand a riot as well as not saying these riots and looting take place during BLM activities.)

**  Man who pointed a sniper rifle at crowd at Weatherford protests arrested, deputies say.  (Well, first off, those "protests" were violent by then, so actually more of a riot.  This is what scares me the most as there will always be armed persons on both sides and all it takes is one little thing to cause that to erupt in bloodshed.  The police did the right thing in arresting him.)

**  East Atlanta's Gen. McPherson  monument mysteriously damaged.  (Georgia  Who do we know that goes around attacking statues these days?  Oh yes.  And Gen. McPherson was a Union officer, not a Confederate one.  And the monument is located where he was killed during the Civil War.  Watch the video of Lenora Scott.  She is quite a wonderful lady.)

What About the Julian Calendar? How About Magnolias, Stars and Beer? Where to Keep Up with Confederadication (Besides Here), What If You're for It?

AUGUST 3, 2020

**  Frustration grows after Oak Cliff Church says 'Back the Blue' cruise showed up to parking lot uninvited.  (Texas.  The church has a big "Black Lives Matter" banner on it.  The jeep club that came into their parking lot was on a "Back the Blue" cruise.  And, gasp, one of the vehicles had a big ol' CF flying.  Of course, if you back BLM you do not back the police.  The church apparently is a black church.  The cruise did not have permission to be there so I have to agree with the church.  They should not have stopped there.)

** Mark Drought:  After we demolish the statues, do we move on to  changing the calendar.  (Believes Confederate flags and statues belong in museums.  But men like Jefferson and Washington should be looked at for what they did for the country as well as being slave owned.  The calendar comment was about our present calendar used being the named after Julius Caesar, a genocidal monster who killed hundreds of thousands of Gauls.  Again, when do they stop?)

**  Public ideas for Mississippi flag: Magnolias, Stars, Beer.  (How about Mardi Gras since it started there?)  Or "Mississippi Queen" or "Proud Mary?)

**  Again, if you want to really keep up with all this Confederadication a good place to do it would be the the Fort Worth (Tx) Star-Telegram.  They have lots of articles about it.  If you are all for Confederadication read the New York Times, Washington Post or watch CNN.  Their articles and reports are considerably slanted.

The Second Civil War: UDC and SCV Need to Take Charge of Confederate Statues on Public Land and Remove Them for Safety

AUGUST 3, 2020

**  State board to discuss Confederate monument move.  (Bentonville, Arkansas.  At least as of June 1, the statue had not been "vandalized" by BLM.  UDC has agreed to relocate it.)

**  (I'd like to see the UDC and SCV voluntarily ask to receive all statues in public places (once the ones BLM has had their way with are cleaned and repaired at BLM or someone else's cost) and relocate them to safe places from the BLM folk.  The cost of relocation should also be paid by those who want the statues removed.  Hear that, BLM?)

**  Confederate flag set ablaze as part of  'Rally for Justice' in Williamsport.  (Pennsylvania.  Organized by NAACP.  Lots of BLM stuff being worn and carried.  I reckon they had to burn the flag because there were no Confederate statues around, being in Pennsylvania as it was.)

**  Nelson County's Confederate statue draws pastor's  cry for removal.  (Virginia.  he is a black pastor.)

**  Congress likely to override Trump veto on changing Army base names, key lawmaker says.

JULY 29, 2020

Oh Those Cheeseheads, Under Cover of the Night, Citadel and An Unlikely Toppling

JULY 24, 2020

**  Two Wisconsin Republicans vote against removing Confederate statues from Capitol while Ron Johnson blocks Juneteenth holiday.    (Johnson is Republican U.S. senator.  I am not surprised that certain people and Democrats want Juneteenth as a national holiday.  I would not be surprised even if they go so far as to try to have the 4th of July replaced by Juneteenth.   Seriously!)

**  (This Juneteenth national holiday was introduced in the Senate by four Democratic senators, two of whom are Blacks and two are women.  It was co-sponsored by a Republican senator.  As of right now, Juneteenth is not a national holiday, but the Senate passed a resolution to make it one.  It has to go to the U.S. House now.  Since the Democrats control it, what do you think will happen?)

**  Watch now:  Lee statue, Confederate busts, removed overnight from Old House chamber at Va. Capitol.  (Video.  Done at night as is the favorite criminal activity time of BLM.)

JULY 25, 2020

**  'Miss Confederacy'  statue removed as workers rid Richmond of Confederate icons.  (Known as the South's "Vindicatrix" from the remains of the Jefferson Davis monument on Monument Avenue.)

(The Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument was taken down earlier in  the day.  Like I said, it is an Confederate statue removal orgy.)

Dixieland Gas Station Changes Name and Richmond Episcopal Church

JULY 9,2020

**  Dixie launches 'God Bless America' promotion, Confederate flag sign covered, for now.  (Dixieland, a popular gas station, convenience store. gift shop just south of the Virginia-Maryland border.  It has a large sign with the store's name and a Confederate flag.  Wonder why they did this.  Next they'll probably change their name.  Perhaps now, more Blacks will go there.)

**  Capital commission  approves moving Nathan Bedford Forrest bust to Tennessee State Museum.

**  Remnants of the Confederacy.

**  AP Explains:  Confederate flags draw differing responses.

**  As Confederate symbols come down in Virginia, a Richmond church is removing its own, but keeps BLM graffiti.  (Episcopal church once known as the "Cathedral of the Confederacy."   Jefferson Davis was a member and he and Robert E. Lee worshipped there.
