Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

The Second Civil War: How Do You Get To Be an Activist?

MARCH 22, 2022

**  Removed  Confederate monument sets milestone in Maryland.  (The "Talbot Boys" statue.  The last Confederate monument on public space in the state.  A coalition raised the money to remove it which is exactly what should always be done for statue removal.  The folks who want it done should PAY for its removal.  It is going to a Civil War battlefield.)

**  Confederate statue condemned at court hearing.  (Virginia.  A current trial of a black man is going on.)

**  Duvall County activists protest to show support  of removing Confederate monuments.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  Again, how do you get to be an activist.  Do you have to go to college?  There sure seem to be an awful lot of black activists.)

**  Coalition pushes to return Robert E. Lee bust to downtown Fort Myers.  (Florida)

Imagine There Being a White Activist? Bubba and Tennessee

MARCH 17, 2022

**  History buff and veterans rights activist sues to return Confederate grave markers in Madison.  (Wisconsin.  Imagine there being such a thing as a non-black activist!!  I here I was thinking that all activists had to be Blacks.  And, I would still like to know what college you have to go to to get your degree in activism?)

**  Bubba Wallace  on what it means to be authentic, talks Confederate flag at SXSW.  (Bubba is the only black driver at the top level of NASCAR and threw a hissy fit about the Confederate flags at events and really Kappy Nappered it.  And, then there was that "noose" thing.)

**  Williamson County seal  public comments to Tennessee Historical Commission.

Would You Believe There Are Those Who Want Confederadication? What's an Activist? Fort Bragg and Maggie Speaks

SEPTEMBER 13, 2021

**  Old South  vs. the new America:  What Confederate monuments say about us.  (From the Hill.  A very anti-Confederate piece.

**  Activists hail  Lee statue removal, say more work remains.  (Again, how does one get to be an activist?  Does a fairy god mother come over and prang you with her wand?  And, of course, the mire work to do is to erase all mention of the Confederacy.)

**  America has always run from  the truth of itself.  (Houston Chronicle)

*  'Like it or not,' Fort Bragg will be renamed.  Now, it is just a question of what.  (I've already put in the name Edward Bragg, Union commander of the famed Iron Brigade.

********************************

SEPTEMBER 14, 2021

**  Singer Maggie Rogers calls on Easton to remove Confederate Talbot Boys statue ahead of Tuesday night council vote.  (Maryland.  Well if Maggie says it should go.  My question, who is Maggie Rogers?)

Confederadication: Fort Benning Lynching, Charlotte, NASCAR, Bubba, Maryland and North Carolina

AUGUST 4, 2021

**  Fort Benning memorializes soldier lynched 80 years earlier at the post as Army acknowledges an injustice.  (Georgia.  A horrible thing.  Imagine, this was a U.S. soldier who was lynched.  Hope they also reopen the case.)

***********************************

AUGUST 5, 2021

**  Rally to call for removal of Confederate statue, one of the last in Mecklenburg County.  (Charlotte, North Carolina.)

**  Confederate flags,  drones, cigarettes.  What you can and can't  bring to Go Bowling at the Glen.  (NASCAR Race.  Got to make Der Bubba happy, you know.)

**  Confederate streets in Potomac renamed  after black historical figures Geneva Mason and William Dove.  (Maryland.  Why do all Confederate streets have to be renamed after Blacks?)

***********************************

AUGUST 6, 2021

**  Community activist receives threatening letter hours before Confederate statue rally.  (Charlotte, N.C.  That should not have happened.)

**  Protesters call for removal of Confederate statue in Cornelius.  (North Carolina)

No Statues to Black Organizations. They Should Go to SCV or UDC

JULY 24, 2021

**  Salisbury Confederate  statue 'Fame' to be placed in a new location.  (North Carolina.  Was placed in storage last year.  Will be removed to the Old Lutheran Cemetery.)

**  Charlottesville receives over  20 requests for Confederate statues.  (Virginia.    From 12 different states.  Sadly, some are from black organizations.  These statues should be turned over to the SCV or UDC with all expenses paid for by the city or those who wanted them gone.)

**  Castleman statue is gone, but what of the Cherokee  Triangle logo?  Here's what is happening.  (Louisville, Kentucky.  Cherokee Triangle is a residential area.)

*********************************

JULY 25, 2021

**  Editorial:  Judge Dorsey's unprecedented  order on a Confederate  statue.  (Roanoke County, Virginia.  Ordered the Confederate monument removed.  And, he is a white guy.)

**  Controversial  confederate (Confederate) 'Fame' statue finds a new home in Salisbury cemetery.  (North Carolina.  Looks like WNCT would know about proper names to be in the media.  WCBD as well.)

**  Scientific Racism and the Confederate flag. (Discovery Institute)

**  Richmond activists raise questions about equity, inclusion in documentary  exploring removals of Confederate monuments.  (Virginia)

**  City kept Charlottesville statue removal quiet due to violence concerns, documents show.  (Violence from who?)

Goodbye 'Maryland, My Maryland.' Welcome 'We Is Woke, We Is Woke'

MAY 19, 2021

**  Alabama police issue arrest warrant over stolen Confederate monument.  (That chair again.)

**  Community activists urge Florence City Council members to move Confederate monument.  (Alabama.  Well, at least they are urging and not demanding.  Again, how do you get to be a community activist?)

**  Anti-Confederate protesters march at SMPA.  (Sand Mountain, Alabama)

**  Maryland's racist, pro-Confederate  state song has been repealed.  ("Maryland, My Maryland" is out.  Might I recommend "We Is Woke, Oh We Is Woke" as a replacement.  And, it goes to the same tune.)

**  From Charleston to Minneapolis, America grapples with symbols of slave-owning past.

************************************

MAY 20, 2021

$290,000 to Replace Confederate Flag on Pensacola Police Badges. Come On BLM and SPLC, Put Your Money Where Your Mouths Are

MAY 15, 2021

**  Confederate flag to come off Pensacola police uniforms, council to wait on  approving funds.  (Florida.  "Don't surprise me none."  It will cost $290,000 which seems to be way too much.  However, that cost should be borne by those folks wanting it gone, not public funds.  Come on, GUYs, PUT your MONEY where your mouths are.

While looking up the Pensacola police badges I saw that formerly the Confederate flag shown was the so-called battle flag.  Now it is the First National flag.)

**  US park  celebrating pro-slavery Confederacy faces a reckoning.  (That would be Stone Mountain, Georgia.)

**  Activists march in Sand Mountain Park protesting Albertville Confederate flag.  (Alabama.  Looked like about eight people there in the news clip.  How do you get to be an activist anyway?)

**  Mississippi city says  state law required  Confederate signs to be put back up.  (Picayune, Ms. SCV logo and Confederate unit markers put back up.)

**  Letter to the Editor:   Rid State Capitol of Confederate tributes.    (Texas)

Civil War II: Texas, West Virginia, Religion, South Carolina and Marylamd. No News Is Good News.

MARCH 28, 2021

**  'New era of understanding':  Bastrop County begins process of  relocating Confederate monuments.  (Texas)

**  GOP reeks of hypocrisy  on Confederate  statue issue.  (West Virginia)

**  Religious leaders:  Protecting Confederate monuments ignores God's love for all.  (Has a statue attacked any BLMers?  Have BLM riots destroyed people's businesses?)

**  Danville Church  working to relocate statue of Confederate soldier.  (Kentucky)

**  Greenville activist ticketed  near Confederate monument during anti-hate demonstration.  (South Carolina)

****************************************

MARCH 29, 2021

Actually there was not a single Confederate Hatred article.  Wow!!  Thanks Guys.

****************************************

MARCH 30, 2021

**  Maryland votes to nix state song, a Confederate call to arms.  (The new state song will probably be "We Is Woke, We Is Woke.  Thank God Almighty, We Is Woke!!"

No Confederate Flag, No BLM Flag. Kentucky, Arkansas, North Carolina, New Jersey, Raleigh and Florida

MARCH 27. 2021

**  Centre College students trying to get Confederate statue near campus removed.  (Danville, Kentucky)

**  Fort Smith  Confederate statue:  Talks in limbo.  (Arkansas)

**  Arizona GOP  wants felony for  protesters who damage  statues.  (If damaging statues is a hate crime (which it is) and hate crimes are a felony, then go for it.)

**  Why is North Carolina  paying this proud Son of Confederate Veterans to lock up black men.  (Yahoo News.  Shame on Yahoo for running an article like this.  Sounds like the New York Times or Washington Post.)

**  NJ 'teacher, activist' accused  of starting riot that topple Confederate statue surrenders.  (Accused of the Raleigh, N.C. riot and arrested.  I still find that hard to believe.  I figured somebody who did something like he is accused of would receive a good citizenship award.)

**  Confederate namesake school demoted teacher  for not removing Black Lives Matter  flag.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  Robert E. Lee High School.   Hey, if you can't have a Confederate flag, you can't have a BLM flag.  Fair's Fair.)

What About Those College Professors? Half the Staff. A Murky Legacy. Not Here.

MARCH 8, 2021

**  Confederate statue haunts  Blacks in Mo. town.  (Liberty, Missouri.  For crying out loud.  It is in a cemetery!!!    The graves of some 40 unnamed Confederates are around it.  At least the "activists" who want the statue removed are willing to pay $10,000 for it.  I can respect that.)

**  Half the staff:  Confederate flag to fly  from smaller pole.  (Virginia.  All the impact!!)

**  Confederate monuments  vandalized in city-owned cemetery.  (Atlanta.  Again, that was not vandalism.  It was nothing short of a hate crime.)

**  A murky  legacy:  Confederate generals who helped black locals.  (How could this be?)

**  Ky. mayor says Confederate statue  won't be on city property.  (Owensboro, Kentucky)

**  South Alabama professors wore Confederate gear, posed with a whip  and noose.  Now they're under investigation.  (From Halloween 2014.  They have been placed on leave.  University of South Alabama.  Of course, nothing at all happened to college professors who provoked attacks on Silent Sam at UNC or the one at UAB who posted how to pull down a statue.  We must be fair here.)

It's a Bubba Thing, You Know. Will NASCAR Recover? Another Black Activist. Shame on Sad R. and Trump

FEBRUARY 13, 2021

**  Social justice at NASCAR's forefront as new season begins.  (Daytona 500.  Good old Bubba who played his Black Card.  We were at a bar Sunday and they put on the race when it started.  You should have heard everyone yelling to turn that ____ off.  We'll see if Blacks start coming to the races enough to offset so many who won't go or watch it now.)

** At 94, Fort Worth activist Opal Lee views Juneteenth as her most important lesson.  (A black woman.   Again, how come there are so many black activists and I don't think many white ones?  At what point will Blacks demand the Fourth of July be replaced by Juneteenth?)

************************************

FEBRUARY 14, 2021

**  Virginia high court will take up appeals in Lee statue case.  (Sad R.  I sure hope they hurry up and take it down.  What the state and city has allowed those people committing hate crimes to do to it is a downright shame.  Shame on the state and shame on Sad R.)

**  Democracy Now:  White supremacy  should also be on trial at Trump's impeachment.  (Well, sorry folks.  He wasn't found guilty.)

**  Here's how NASCAR plans to recover  from a tough 2020, starting with the Daytona 500.  (Saturday I asked a guy I know who is a huge NASCAR fan when he thought about der Bubba.  I have never heard such a flow of invective as I did that night.  And, this guy goes to a lot of NASCAR races.)

Civil War II: Renaming Those Bases a Big Thing. Gettysburg of Bases, What About Those Black Activists? Harriet Tubman and the Pentagon

FEBRUARY 13, 2021

Most of the Confederate-named bases received the names before World War II.  That was an awful long-time for people not to be offended.  Was it a sudden-woke offense?

**  Retired Marine general, trailblazing  admiral among  new picks who will scrutinize bases with Confederate names.  (Hopefully at least one of the eight is a non-Black.)

**  Members named  to panel scrubbing Confederate icons from DOD.  (Aren't icons considered to be good?)

**  Confederate  military bases just met their Gettysburg.  (You mean Waterloo?)

**  North Carolina commission to work with  local activists to remove Confederate monuments.  (Again, how does a black person get to be an activist?  Wondering if there are any white activists?)

**  Renowned as a black liberator, Harriet Tubman was also a brilliant spy.

**  Here's how the Pentagon will remove the names of Confederates from military bases.

Talking About Monumentless Avenue in Sad R. How Do You Get to be an Activist? Those Pesky Confederate Face Masks (It's a Health Issue, You Know)

JANUARY 22, 2021

**  Name of Virginia's Camp Pendleton will be changed from that of Confederate general:  new recommendation due next month.  (Evidently a state owned base.)

**  Activists promise to continue fight against 'Talbot Boys' Confederate monument.  (Maryland.  I'd still like to know how you get to be an activist, usually referred to as a community activist.  Do you have to attend college and get a degree in Activism?)

**  Parents outraged  over student's Confederate  flag face mask demand action.  (Oakville, Missouri.  Nothing was said about wearing BLM masks.  Those are more than a bit offensive to many.  You mean you'd rather put a person's life in danger during the virus than be offended by that flag?)

**  After deadly US Capitol riot, Texas lawmakers  find renewed hope to remove Confederate symbols.  (No Confederate veterans took part in the attack on the Capitol.  They are all dead, guys.)

**  Commissioners seek dismissal of Gaston County Confederate monument lawsuit.  (North Carolina)

**  Valentine Museum's survey  says 64% of Richmonders believe museums should acquire Confederate monuments from Monument Avenue.  (Sad R.  The problem is that the Valentine Museum has been taken over by the other side. Also, the name of Monument Avenue should be changed.  I kind of like Monumentless Avenue myself, but any other name will do.  And, no monuments of any sort should be allowed on it or near it.  That means the Arthur Ashe statue also needs to be moved.)

Three Years to Do Away With Those Pesky Confederate Named Bases. Were U.S. Senators Expelled for Not Accepting Lincoln's 1860 Election?

JANUARY 5, 2021

**  Thumbs up:  retiring Confederate generals.

**  Sons of Confederate Veterans opposes flag removal  from seal.  (Williamson County, Tennessee)

**  Activists vow to fight with Walker County Commissioners Court over Confederate monument.  (Huntsville, Alabama.  Again, Blacks have much bigger issues on their plate than Confederate monuments.  Again.  What do you have to do to become an activist?)

**  The Pentagon has three years to strip  Confederate names from  from bases.  Here's what comes next.  (Again, I am in favor of changing the names.  These men fought against the country.  Just DON'T name all the bases after black people.  All costs for name changes should be paid by those who want the bases renamed, however.)

**  Lost Cause marches on, 1861 to now.

**  The senators who were expelled after refusing to accept Lincoln's election.  (Washington Post.  I am kind of surprised to see them saying something like that.  This is going around media, but I found some reasonably believable information of this and they were expelled, but had already given up their seats and left for the new Confederacy and had not officially notified Congress that they had resigned..  I really get tired of all this twisting.)

The Second Civil War: Louisiana, Arlington House, Fort Bragg, Activists, Trump's Mentality and Texas

DECEMBER 25, 2020

**  White supremacist's statue off Louisiana high court steps.  (Edward  White.  Also a member of U.S. Supreme Court.  His crimes:  Fought for the Confederacy and upheld racial segregation laws.)

**  Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee memorial, must be renamed. (Washington Post.  Big surprise they'd say that.    Excuse me, but wasn't the reason for Arlington National Cemetery being there a slap in the face to Lee in the first place?  Does this mean the name of the cemetery must also be changed?)

**  Top stories of 2020:    Push to rename Fort Bragg, installations named after Confederate generals.  (Fayetteville, North Carolina)

********************************

DECEMBER 26, 2020

**  Activists don't want Confederate monuments, larger issues to be swept under the rug in 2021.  (But, why weren't the activists out there activating against Confederate monuments before Floyd?  Did they know those statues were there and had been for over 100 years?  Inquiring minds want to know.)

**  The Confederate Mental States of Trump.

**  A historic pandemic, Confederate statue, Floyd protests among top stories for 2020.  (Denton. Texas.  Confederate statue removed from court house.  When are they going to quit calling what happened in the wake of George Floyd's death protests or civil unrest.  They were RIOTS, LOOTING, BURNING and HATE CRIMES.)

Come On.  Those "Protests" Were Riots.  --Old Secesh

Confederadication: Muslims, Alabama, Louisiana, SPLC, Virginia, Museum and Monumentless Avenue

DECEMBER 19, 2020

**  Nation's largest Muslim advocacy group supports removal of Confederate  memorial from Marshall County Courthouse.  (Albertville, Alabama.  Council On American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).  How about supporting an end to terrorist operations, ISIS and other terrorist groups?  You'd kind of think Muslims had enough of their own problems where they wouldn't get involved with stuff in our county.)

**  Educate and advocate:  Activists in Lafayette, La.,  lead movement to remove Confederate statue, confront long history of white supremacy.  (SPLC.  Hey Guys, still waiting for you list of BLM riots, arson, looting and hate crimes.  Let's get to it!!)

**  Virginia museum will lead efforts to reimagine Richmond Avenue once  lined with Confederate monuments.  (Virginia Museum of  of Fine Arts in Sad R.  A very racist museum responsible for that statue across the street.  Of course this means that every statue put up on the avenue now will HAVE to be a black person.  That's not racist at all, is it?)

What College Do You Have to Attend to Become a Community Activist? Teens, Vance, Asheville the Sad, North Carolina, Activists, CNN Does It Again, George Floyd and West Virginia

DECEMBER 10, 2020

**  Teen asks NC county to remove Confederate statue.  'History has its eyes on you, he says'   (Newton, North Carolina.   And, very surprisingly, he is a white person.)

**  Third and final Confederate monument to leave Asheville's Pack Square.  (Asheville, North Carolina.  The 65-foot Zebulon Vance monument.  Of course, Asheville is a big-time liberal town which wants to be a Sad R or Charlottesville.)

**  Activists say suit to remove Confederate monument  could right an old wrong.  (Gaston, North Carolina.  How come Blacks have so many activists?  What college do you have to go to to become an activist?  Well, one of those so-called community activists?  I have noticed we don't have any community activists here in Spring Grove.  Maybe we ought to post a job opening.  There sure seem to be a lot of them in certain areas of cities.  Surely, they could spare one, right?  And, don't call me Shirley.)

**  CNN's John Avlon compares Trump election supporters to 'Confederates.'  (Wow, imagine someone from CNN saying something like that.  I was completely shocked.  And, of course, those who opposed were... what?  This would be like the New York Times or Washington Post saying something like that.)

**  What progress was made  toward racial justice after George Floyd was killed?  (I'm not sure, but perhaps if certain people would quit committing so many crimes that might help.)

**  Capitol Building Commission listens to calls to remove Stonewall statue, but takes no action.  (Charleston, West Virginia)

Let the People Vote on Whether to Keep Confederate Statues and Base Names

JUNE 18, 2020

**  Barriers placed around Robert E. Lee statue as activists target Confederate monuments.  (Richmond, Va.  This came after another Confederate monument was torn down in Richmond.  What activists?  These are people getting ready to commit a hate crime.  And, those concrete barriers just provided new places to write obscenities as the "activists" had run out of places on the Lee statue pedestal.)

**  Calls continue for Franklin County leaders to remove Confederate monument from courthouse.  (Rocky Mount, Va.)

**  Almost half of voters favor keeping Confederate names for military bases.  (Personally, I would like to have every Confederate monument removal as well put to a vote by the people.  We can not get a fair shake from governmental bodies whose members either are Black or who are afraid to stand up to the Blacks.  Same goes for our justice system.)

**  A descendant of slaves  explains why it is indefensible to keep Confederate  names on public schools.  She taught in one.)

**  Virginia protesters topple another Confederate statue.   ("Protesters!"  These people aren't protesting.  They are rioting and committing hate crimes.)

**  Conversation about Confederate memorial in Shelby.

**  Clarke County residents want Confederate monument removed from courthouse grounds.

**  Opposing views on Columbia's Confederate monument.

**  Protesters demonstrate outside Mayor Stoney's apartment, pull down Confederate monument at VCU.  (What "protesters?"  They are criminals committing hate crimes.  Stoney is Richmond's Democratic mayor who is leading the destruction of the city's Confederate monuments.  Are his people turning on him?)

Confederate Flags in Cemeteries, Savannah, Civil Rights Movement and the NRHP

February 24, 2020

**  Deal hit to heal breach  over rebel flags in Eureka Springs Cemetery.  (Arkansas--  Someone complained.  Guess?  All it takes is one of these people to complain.  47 Confederate and 97 Union soldiers buried there.  In the past, the flags have been "removed" by an individual.

**  Panel addresses inequities  of historic Savannah monuments.  (Panel of local activists, so we know where they stand.  Personally, I would like to see more monuments to deserving Blacks.)

**  Photos: The fight for integration in Winston-Salem.  (North Carolina-- Demonstrators at the Woolworth's lunch counter where the black students were seated waving Confederate flags.  This is a big reason why Blacks dislike the Confederate flag and I don't blame them for it.  Those people "hijacked" the Confederate flag.  I hate when that happens.)

**  US 'honor roll' of historic places often ignores slavery.  (This would be the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).  I would also like to see more slavery sites on the list.)
