Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

Civil War II: USNA, Kentucky and a Statue Victory?

FEBRUARY 18, 2023

**  Navy removes  Confederate name from Naval Academy.  (Maury Hall becomes Carter Hall, named after former President Jimmy Carter.  This is an acceptable renaming.  Of course, he was  from the South, so that could be a problem with certain folk.)

**  State representative  files legislation to remove Confederate  holidays from  state law.  (Kentucky)

**  Tennessee Historical Commission denies  request to remove Confederate memorial from Centennial Park.  (Nashville.  Does this mean we might have won one?  What will NAACP, BLM and SPLC say about this.  Bet they won't like this decision.)

That Really UGLY Forrest Statue in Tennessee, Renaming Roads in Virginia, a Noose and Flag and Michigan

DECEMBER 9, 2021

**  Owners explain why  they removed statue of Confederate  general from Tennessee interstate.  (Near Nashville. Nathan Bedford Forrest.   It was ugly (which it was) and too much "vandalism.'  But we know that is a cover word used for "hate crime.")

**  'It's the right thing to do':   Loudoun County approves new names for Routes 7 and 50.  (Virginia.  Route 7 is Harry Byrd Highway and Route 50 is John Mosby Highway.  I am sure they will have to be renamed for black people.)

That Travesty in Charlottesville

DECEMBER 7, 2021

**  Confederate statue remains  to be removed.  (Sad R.  The pedestal of the Lee statue is still there.  That eyesore because of what certain people did to it and what the city and state governments allowed them to do should have been taken down when they statue was removed.)

**  Statue of Confederate  Gen. Forrest removed in Tennessee.  (Along I-65 south of Nashville.  Well, it was an ugly statue.)

**  Thousands of 'renaming'  nominations received.  (Fort Rucker, Alabama)

*********************************

DECEMBER 8, 2021

**  Charlottesville's  statue of Confederate  General Robert E, Lee will be melted down.  (It is to be melted down into public art.  The city council voted 4-0 to give it to  the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center. This is a travesty.  Notice they didn't put it up to a public vote.  It should have been turned over to the SCV or UDC.

All Confederate statues should be turned over to the UDC or SCV.  All expenses should be paid for by those who want them taken down.)

**  Locals offer $3000  reward for Confederate monument  vandals.  (Murray, Kentucky.  Again, NOT vandalism.  This is a hate crime.)

More Shame on Charlottesville.  --Old Secesh

More Lists, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina,

OCTOBER 6, 2020

**  Confederate statues  come down around the U.S., but not everywhere.  (Has SPLC list of 28 Confederate statues  still standing after efforts to remove them.  However, still waiting for a complete list by these prolific listmakers about the number of BLM "protests" across the country that have turned violent with rioting, looting, arson and hate crimes.  However, this article has the 28 statues and how they ended up still standing, so of interest.)

SEPTEMBER 21, 2020

**  These Confederate statues were removed.  But where did they go?  (NBC News.  Since the death of George Floyd, 130 Confederate statues and tributes to divisive persons have come down, not all Confederate.

In only 365 cases have the statues been transported to new homes or were awaiting new homes or owners.  Three of them, an early 1900s Nashville politician and two in Madison, Wisconsin, who have been determined not to be white supremacists,  will be repaired and returned to their spots.

**  VCU students weigh in on plan to remove Confederate names, symbols.

**  University in former Confederate capital will remove all Confederate names, symbols from campus.  (That would be Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).  Was there a former Confederate capital at that spot?  If there ever was, it is surely gone now.)

How Low Will BLM Stoop? Go After Confederate Women. Letting the People Vote On It.

 SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

**  Confederate flag box  hung from tree at Nashville black-owned  business property.  (Tennessee.  At least the business did not have to be worried about being looted or burned as might have been the case had BLM had anything to do with it.  No need to put up a "Black-Owned Business" sign here.)

********************************

SEPTEMBER 4, 2020

**  Herman:  Battle brewing over  marker at former Confederate woman's home.  (Austin, Texas.  Formerly the Texas Confederate Woman's Home, opened by UDC in 1908.  Blacks want it removed or changed to tell of UDC connection with KKK.  Will the depravity of those supporting Confederadication know no boundaries?  Women?  Come on!!)

**  Judge:  I-64 Confederate flagpole not a monument.  (Virginia.  120-foot pole flying a 30-by-50-foot flag.  Obviously BLM folk want it down so trying to find legal way to take it down.  At least they are not actively trying to destroy it as is usually the case.)

**  Matthews will put Confederate statue up for referendum  in 2021.  (Virginia.  Let the people vote on it.  Too bad they couldn't do it this year.  I will live with what the people say, unlike BLM who won't if they lose.)

Protesters Target Confederate Statues in Recent Riots-- Part 2: Norfolk, Richmond, Nashville and Philadelphia

In Norfolk, Virginia, protesters climbed a Confederate monument and spray-painted  graffiti on its base.  Norfolk is one of the Virginia cities who have already let it be known that they will be removing the monument as soon as they are able to July 1.  (Sadly, another Southern city I will now have to boycott.)

In Richmond, Virginia, at least two of the Confederate statues on Monument Avenue, those of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Jeb Stuart were completely covered in graffiti.

Nearby, a fire burned at the headquarters of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.  The building was also covered with graffiti.

In Tennessee and Pennsylvania, statues of people who weren't Confederates but who had racist tendencies were also targeted.

The one in Nashville, Tennessee, of Edward Carmack was toppled.  Protesters (well, those committing hate crimes and getting away with it) sprayed graffiti on the statue of former Philadelphia Mayor Frank Rizzo after trying to topple it.

The death of George Floyd was a miscarriage of justice.  Not as bad, but still breaking the law, the attacks on the statues is also called breaking the law.  Why do they get away with it?
