Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

**  SPLC:  Reports  48 Confederate memorials removed in 2022.  (Imagine the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) doing that?)

**  Montgomery  school name changes  lead Alabama's Confederate symbol removals in 2022.  (SPLC again.)

*****************************

APRIL 14, 2023

**  A Navy ship named for a Confederate victory now honors a black Union hero.  (USS Chancellorsvile now USS Robert Smalls.)

**  Charlottesville  statue trial postponed.  (Virginia.  To determine what is to be done with the Lee statue.)

****************************

FEBRUARY 2, 2023

Confederadication: Jacksonville, Virginia and the Washington Post

DECEMBER 26, 2022

**  Jacksonville City Council President  says Confederate monuments will come off 'back b urner.'  (Jacksonville, Florida.  I understand that crime in Jacksonville is on the rise among black folks.  Looks like that should be more important of a thing to address than removing Confederate monuments.  But, NO!!)

**  Parks in Fairfax's Franconia District scrap the Confederate 'Lee' name.  (Virginia)

************************************

DECEMBER 28, 2022

**  Art at Capitol honors  141 enslavers and 13 Confederates.  Who are they?  (Washington Post.  And two guesses what this newspaper wants to do with them.  First one doesn't count.  Was this another of the infamous SPLC lists?)

You Want That Confederate Monument Gone, YOU Pay For It!! CAIR and SPLC Again

JULY 27, 2022

**  Jacksonville Mayor Curry budgets $500K to remove Confederate monuments, faces Council.  (Florida.  No public funds should be used for statue removal.  The money should come from those who want them removed.  Hey guys.  Put your money where your mouth is.  We know you can sure use your mouth!)

**  CAIR calls on Delaware town to drop funding  for museum inless Confederate flag removed.  (The good folks at the Council on American-Islamic Relations again.  I call on them to apologize for 9/11 and to compensate the families of those the Islamic terrorists murdered that day.)

**  How a Fort Worth  high school ditched its Confederate mascot in 1990.  (Texas)

*******************************

JULY 28, 2022

**  Texas still has the third highest number of Confederate  memorials in the US.  (And, you'll never guess who came up with this list.

SPLC, of Course.  --Old Secesh

The Second Civil War: Virginia, Texas, Tennessee and Alabama

FEBRUARY 11, 2022

**  Virginia ranks  No. 1 in removing Confederate symbols, monuments in 2021, Southern Poverty Law Center.  (Yep, they made another list.  We call them the Lost People.  But, they won't make up a list of all the damage and destruction BLM did back in 2020.   Very racist of them, don't you think?)

**  How a Houston  area couple turned Confederate Drive into Prosperity Drive.  (Texas.  They are a black couple.)

*****************************

FEBRUARY 12. 2022

**  Hearing on removing Confederate flag from Williamson County seal delayed.  (Tennessee)

**  Alabama Republicans pass bill  to hike penalties for removing Confederate monuments.

Confederadication: Wilmington Goes After the Pedestals. Johnny Ford, Tuskegee's Criminal. SPLC Again

AUGUST 16, 2021

**  George Davis  pedestal removed in downtown Wilmington.  (North Carolina.  Now, if Wilmington will just remove a few of their many, many traffic light cameras.)

***********************************************

AUGUST 17, 2021

**  Tuskegee city council man Johnny Ford focused on removal of Confederate statue.  (Alabama.  He actually should be focused on his defense as he should have been arrested for the crime he did to that statue.  But, since he is Black he will get away with it.  I wonder what they would have done had it been a white person doing something like he did to a black statue?)

**  22 Alabama on SPLC's list of US schools  honoring Confederate  leaders.  (Our good friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) again.  Wonder if they are racist?  Hey, most Confederates were white people.  And, we're STILL waiting on SPLC's list of how many BLM "peaceful demonstrations" in 2020 became looting and burning orgies and damage figures.)

**  Remnants of Confederate  statues now removed  from downtown Wilmington.  (North Carolina.  And, of course, all costs for removal were paid by those wanting them gone.  Of course.)

Hey SPLC, Where's That List of 'Hit' Businesses During the BLM Riots? Why Does It Take Certain People So Long to Become Offended?

When a day only has one or two articles, that doesn't mean there weren't others.  I don't write about the ones that are new or that give other information.

JULY 21, 2021

**  'Never give up':  Statue of Confederate general removed from Louisiana city after years of activism.  (The good folks at SPLC.  Lafayette, Louisiana.  Actually, this years of activism are within the last few years.  The statue was put there 99 years ago.  Why wasn't it offensive back then and suddenly, "Woke, there you are?"

And, by the way, SPLC, we're still waiting on one of your lists to tell how many and where businesses were burned and looted during last year's BLM riots.  Let's get to it, guys.)

**  Residents  speak out about removal of Confederate monument.  (Greenville, North Carolina)

**********************************

JULY 22, 2021

**  Polk Co.  commission takes sudden action to move Confederate monument out of downtown Bartow.  (Florida.  It will be moved to a cemetery.)

**  Jacksonville  schools renaming underway:  Riverside High reveals new logo but nickname will stay.  (Florida.  Nickname is "The Generals."   Formerly the Robert E. Lee High School.)

**  Virginia plaza that once honored Robert E. Lee to be renamed. (Roanoke, Virginia. The statue there had a hate crime committed against it last year during BLM protests.  Will be renamed for Henrietta Lacks, a black woman whose cells are important for cancer research who died in 1951.  Again, a deserving purpose, but do all renamed places have to be renamed for black people?)

I'm Thinking SPLC Doesn't Release a "Hit Businesses" List Because That Might Make Their Side Look Bad.  --Old Secesh

That Charlottesville Again, Even Lewis & Clark (and Sacagawea) Aren't Safe From 'Woke.' , Far-right vs. Far-left Forms of Protest at UNC

JULY 13, 2021

**  Confederate statues removed from Charlottesville.  (Virginia.  Such a huge surprise!)

**  Charlottesville removes Lewis  and Clark statue featuring Sacagawea along with Confederate statues.  (Virginia.  I tell you, It's a statue feeding frenzy in that college town.)

**  Far-right activists protest with Confederate flags at UNC's Unsung Founders Memorial.  )North Carolina.  And those who pulled down the Silent Sam statue must have been Far-left.)

**  The traveling sculpture challenges the story Confederate statues tell.

**  Pasquotank Confederate monument  will soon head to private property in Nixonton.  (North Carolina)

**  Charlottesville removes Confederate statues, Putnam County may keep theirs.  (Florida)

****************************

JULY 14, 2021

**  A state-by-state list  of racist Confederate monuments that have been removed so far.  (Mic.  I'd like to know what those statues did to be considered to be racist.  Plus, this group wants all Confederate statues replaced with ones of black heroes. )

We're Still Waiting for SPLC's List of Black Riots, Looting and Arson. Stone Mountain, Charleston Church Massacre, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida

JUNE 18, 2021

**  Town to celebrate Juneteenth in the shadow of largest Confederate monument.  (That would be Stone Mountain, of course.  The town is Stone Mountain, Georgia, a predominantly black town.)

**  Six years later, 170 Confederate monuments removed since Charleston church massacre.  (Our good friends over at SPLC again.  Yet, they find it impossible to come up with a list of burnings, lootings and rioting that took place during last year's black observance of the George Floyd murder.  Come on guys, we're still waiting for that list.  You know you can do it.)

**  Demonstrators gather at the Statehouse to confront 'Confederate state of mind' on anniversary of Charleston massacre.  (South Carolina)

**  Juneteenth and Alabama's support of the Confederacy in conflict, historian says.  (A black historian)

**  Descendant of Confederate soldier  advocates for the relocation of Bartow monument.  (Florida)

**  Southern history and Confederate monuments.

Confederadication: All Those Confederate Symbols Still Around. Those Confederate Bases and Sad R.

APRIL 4, 2021

**  Over 2000  Confederate symbols remain in US public  spaces, and its proven  difficult to take them down.  (Maybe there are some who don't want them taken down.)

**  Editorial:  Why didn't the South regard the Confederacy  as a mistake.  (Roanoke Times.  Is the media against us?)

**********************************

APRIL 5, 2021

**  Statues of controversial figures difficult for  critics to eradicate.

** ********************************

APRIL 6, 2021

**  Military must reject "slavery and treason" of Confederate base names, commissioner warns.  (Wonder whose side he's on?)

**  Richmond City Council debates process for choosing Confederate statue recipients.  (Obviously, all monuments should go to SCV or UDC after they have been repaired and cleaned at city expense, or even better yet, BLN and their ilk expense.  All expenses for removal and re-erecting should also be incurred by the city or BLM folk.)

Is BLM a Terrorist Group? 7 Civil War Battles, Kentucky, Kappa Alpha Order, Military and SPLC List

MARCH 6, 2021

**  Letter to Editor:  Confederate flag and terrorism.  (Personally, I regard anything with BLM on it as terrorism.)

**  7 Critical Civil War Battles.  (How about this!!  Actual Civil War.  I'll list these three in my Saw the Elephant:  Civil War blog tomorrow in case you're wondering what they were.)

**  Confederate statue won't be moved to city property.  (Owensboro, Kentucky, Daviess County)

**  Tribune Star Editorial:  Fraternity should disassociate itself  with Confederate icon.  (Terre Haute, Indiana.  Kappa Alpha Order at Indiana State University.)

**  Commentary:  As military seeks to eliminate extremism, it must also remove  symbols of discrimination.

***********************************

MARCH 7, 2021

**  SPLC report:  24 Confederate symbols removed  from NC in 2020, 2nd ranking among states for removal.  (And when SPLC talks, people listen.  Now if they would just make up that list of BLM "peaceful demonstrations" last summer that turned into riots with any combination of confrontations, hate crimes (attacking Confederate statues), looting and burning I would be a happy lad.  Come on guys, you know you can do it (unless you're afraid it might make your side look bad.))

CNIDDCCSAQAPWSVCSA: Worst Military Acronym Ever?!

MARCH 4, 2021

**   County votes to move Confederate  statue from courthouse lawn.  Cost, timeline still unknown.  (Statesville, North Carolina.  Again, notice it wasn't put up to public vote.  Too bad. All costs of removal should be paid by those who want it gone.)

**  Kentucky  among states that removed a combined 168 Confederate monuments in 2020.  (Guess who's list?    Three removed in Kentucky.  Still waiting for that SPLC "List" of BLM demonstrations that turned into riots.  Come on guys, you know you can do it.)

**  Bill Scott:  Contempt for society is why some people fly the Confederate flag.

**  The commission that has been appointed to rename the Confederate military bases is called the Commission on the Naming of Items of the Department of Defense that Commemorates the Confederate States of America or Any Person Who Served Voluntarily with the Confederate States of America.  In short:  CNIDDCCSAQAPWSVCSA.   Now, that's a real mouthful acronym indeed!

Even the Acronym Is Too Long.  --Old Secesh

That SPLC and Their List!!! List Me. Another Night Time Statue Removal.

MARCH 2, 2021

**  Renaming options set for  Jacksonville high school named for Confederate general.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  Gen. Edmund Kirby Smith.  Maybe we should have SPLC give us a list of "acceptable" names.)

**  Kentucky  among states that removed a combined 168 Confederate monuments in 2020.  (Three in Kentucky, one in Indiana, none in Tennessee.)

*****************************************

MARCH 3, 2021

**  Virginia is  losing some Confederate symbols, but others still travel its roads.  (There are still 1776 SCV license plates on the roads.  What would SPLC think of this?  Do they have a LIST of names of those people?)

**  SC senator files resolution to remove Confederate  naval jack from the Citadel.  (A white man, but Democrat.)

**  Alabama tied for most Confederate symbols removed in 2020.    (Tied with Texas with twelve.)

**  Confederate statue in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama, taken down in the middle of the night.  What's with these night time take downs.  We all know what happens and why certain people operate at night.  What does SPLC think about this.  Did they update their LIST?)

**  North Carolina is second in the nation for removing Confederate monuments.   (Just a few entries earlier I had one saying Alabama and Texas tied for the most removed.  Did SPLC get their LIST wrong?

**  Virginia #1, North Carolina #2 nationwide in Confederate  symbol removal in 2020.

And, in the meantime, how many Blacks wounded and killed other Blacks in Chicago in 2020.  Come on SPLC, we need to know another important list.

Come On SPLC, Where's That BLM Riot List? Virginia, Florida, Confederate Flags in Oregon, An Indian Confederate General, Georgia

MARCH 2, 2021

**  Virginia leads the nation with the highest number of Confederate monuments, symbols removed.  (SPLC again.  71 were removed.   Sure wish they'd make that list about BLM "peaceful demonstration" that became violent and had looting, rioting, arsons and hate crimes committed against Confederate monuments.)

**  Confederate symbols removed from Florida in 2020.  (There were ten of them according to none other than SPLC, the Southern Law Poverty Center.)

**  Ban Confederate flags at school?  Committee focuses on new legislation.  (Oregon.  Of course if you ban Confederate flags, BLM items should also be banned as they support rioting, looting, arson, violent  confrontation and hate crimes.  When people go after a Confederate monument that is a hate crime.)

**  The last Confederate general to surrender was an Indian.  (Hey, every so often you just have to have something from the real Civil War, not this liberal revisionist stuff.  In case you're wonder, the general's name was Stand Watie.)

**  Ga, lawmaker authors bill to abolish Confederate monuments in the Peach State.  (A black woman.)

States of Embarrassment. Come on, SPLC, How About That List of BLM 'Peaceful Demonstrations' That Led to Violence, Rioting, Looting and Burning (Not to Mention Hate Crimes)!!!

FEBRUARY 27, 2021

**  Ban on Confederate flag urged in Northampton schools.  (Massachusetts.   The black principal was shown holding a BLM sign.  Does that mean he supports rioting, burning, looting and hate crimes?)

**  Alabama ranks third in nation for number of Confederate symbols removed in 2020.  (That has to be embarrassing.  Again, the racist group SPLC has the numbers and says that  12 were removed.  In case you're wondering, Sad V. led the pack with 71 thanks to their sad gov and mayor.    N.C. was second with 24.  The states of embarrassment.)

**  HEY SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center).  We are still waiting for your list on BLM "peaceful demonstrations" that led to rioting, confrontation, looting, burning and hate crimes in 2020.  Come on guys, you know you can do it!!

**  Lawmakers vote to remove Confederate  name from highway.  (No surprise there.  Sad V.  Jefferson Davis Highway)

**  Confederate symbols removed from Georgia in 2020.  (Seven according to SPLC)

Best FUs for Confederate Monuments-- Part 2

Okay, here's the list of things Blacks have done that please her:

1.  Bree Newsome climbing the flag pole at the South Carolina Capitol and taking down the Confederate flag.

2.  Kehinde Wiley's statue in Richmond.

3.  An anonymous hero  swiping flags from a graveyard full of traitors in Virginia.  (There is a special place in hell for people who desecrate a cemetery.)

4.  A couple  calmly firing a contractor  who pulled up to work in a truck fly the Confederate flag.

5.  Savana High School (California) got rid of their Johnny Reb mascot.

6.  Tyler Perry building his studio on Confederate land.

7.  Silent San statue at UNC pulled down.  (So sad.  Every student in the video should be expelled and the ones who pulled it down and then did their little celebratory dance on it should be arrested.)

8.  Black man snatching Confederate flag on live TV in Charleston, SC.

9.  Tennessee activists committing hate crime on Confederate monument.

Now, numbers 2, 4, 5 and 6 are not criminal offenses, but  the first three could be classified as hate crimes.  The rest of them are criminal activity and should be prosecuted.

So, someone apparently is saying that people should go out and be criminals.

And, when I see one of those giant Confederate flags flying alongside an interstate, I'm thinking that's a big FU to all those intending to bury the Confederacy.

Confederadication: Muslims, Alabama, Louisiana, SPLC, Virginia, Museum and Monumentless Avenue

DECEMBER 19, 2020

**  Nation's largest Muslim advocacy group supports removal of Confederate  memorial from Marshall County Courthouse.  (Albertville, Alabama.  Council On American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).  How about supporting an end to terrorist operations, ISIS and other terrorist groups?  You'd kind of think Muslims had enough of their own problems where they wouldn't get involved with stuff in our county.)

**  Educate and advocate:  Activists in Lafayette, La.,  lead movement to remove Confederate statue, confront long history of white supremacy.  (SPLC.  Hey Guys, still waiting for you list of BLM riots, arson, looting and hate crimes.  Let's get to it!!)

**  Virginia museum will lead efforts to reimagine Richmond Avenue once  lined with Confederate monuments.  (Virginia Museum of  of Fine Arts in Sad R.  A very racist museum responsible for that statue across the street.  Of course this means that every statue put up on the avenue now will HAVE to be a black person.  That's not racist at all, is it?)

Perhaps Blacks Should Concentrate More on Black on Black Crime Instead of Confederate Symbols (Especially in Chicago)

NOVEMBER 14, 2020

**  Confederate heritage group replaces battle flag  at Alabama monument.  (Albertville. Replaced Confederate flag with the first Alabama flag flown after secession.

**  NC NAACP  chapter sues Gaston  County over Confederate monument.  (Imagine a group like NAACP suing for this.  Kind of racist of them, isn't it.)

**  'A New Dawn': How four young black activists powered movement to remove Confederate emblem from Mississippi flag.  (By the Southern Poverty Law Center, an ultra racist group.  Maybe those four young people would better have served the cause by getting Blacks to stop shooting and killing each other in Chicago.

By the way, according to Hey Jackass, Chicago mayhem this past weekend so far resulted in 3 dead and 20 shot, mostly Blacks.   Last week's totals 11/9 to 11/14:  16 killed, 57 wounded.  November to Date:  30 killed, 134 wounded and 2020 so far:    642 killed and 3089 wounded.  Not all of these killings and woundings were Blacks, but the vast majority were.

All of this is so much more of a danger to Blacks than Confederate flags or statues.

Hey, SPLC, Still Waiting for Your List on How Many BLM Demonstrations Ended Up With Riots, Looting, Burning and Hate Crimes.   When Can We expect That List?   --Old Secesh

The Confederacy Under Attack: VMI, Gettysburg, A.P. Stewart, Arkansas and Lexington

OCTOBER 18, 2020

**  At VMI, black cadets endure lynching  threats, Klan  memories and Confederate veneration.  (Virginia Military Institute.  If this is true, the offenders should be kicked out of school.  There is no room for that behavior at any school, especially a military one.

**  The battle fought at Gettysburg is far from over.

**  Letters to the Editor:  A.P. Stewart wasn't divisive, but the crusade to remove Stewart's bust is.  (Hamilton County, Tennessee)

**  Confederate past still remembered all around the state.  (Arkansas.  List of the status of Confederate monuments around the state.)

*****************************************

OCTOBER 19, 2020

**  Letters to the Editor:  Your View:  What our Confederate monument means.

**  Lexington Confederate monument to be placed on private property in Davidson Co.   (North Carolina.  Unfortunately, I am sure the BLMers will find it and desecrate it.)
