Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

JUNE 24, 2022

**  Confederate ideology is still alive and well,  and paraded through our c(C)apitol.  (Still upset about that Confederate flag in the Capitol.)

**  Remnant of the Lost Cause:  U.S. Army  to rename bases that honor Confederates.

What's Happening to the Confederate Monuments, There Are Still Confederates in the U.S. Capitol

JANUARY 7, 2022

**  Here's what is going on with fallen Confederate monuments.  (A look at various statue situations.)

**  The Capitol insurrection, the Lost Cause and the Confederate flag.

**  There are still Confederates in the U.S. Capitol.  (Statues)

**  Final Richmond monument removal of Confederate  Gen. A.P. Hill's statue, his remains set.  (His remains are buried under the statue.  Sad R.  Personally, I don't think I'll ever visit Richmond again.)

About That Famous R. E. Lee Time Capsule. Don't Turn Confederate Statues Over too Black Organizations.

DECEMBER 29, 2021

**  Time capsule found at Confederate  Gen. Robert E. Lee statue reveals Civil War-era artifacts.  (Sad R.  Well, at least they have the right one this time.  It is kind of strange that with all the clamor to bring this statue and the others down that they'd be that interested in a time capsule that his for that "Lost Cause" thing they so hate.)

I am so happy that they finally got around to removing the pedestal.  What Sad R. and the state had allowed hate groups to do to the pedestal had really turned it into an eyesore.  At least those hate groups were usually able to spell expletives correctly.

********************************

DECEMBER 30, 2021

**  Confederate monuments are removed as Americans consider how to remember the past.  (NPR)

**  Robert E, Lee and other Confederate  statues could go to Richmond's Black History Museum.  (Sad R.  This would be a mistake.  There is no way a black museum is going to treat anything Confederate respectfully.  What they will do to them will be nothing short of a hate crime.

By the way. if we had a White History Museum, would that be considered racist?)

The Second Civil War: Is a Confederate Flag Like a BLM Sign? Minnesota, Alabama, Bruce Lee, and Jacksonville

OCTOBER 6, 2021

**  Student suspended for five days  for flying Confederate flag past protesters.  (Mapleton, Minnesota)  It all started with a BLM sign at a football game and resulted in a protest.  So, BLM stuff is okay, but not Confederate.  Seems a bit biased to me.)

Personally, anytime I see anything BLM, I only think of the rioting, arson and looting that so many BLM events sank to last year. However, I must give the group credit because they haven't been doing that this year.  So, thanks, BLM.

**  'Meltdown in Dixie' coming to SCETV:  explores Confederate flag dispute.

**  Alabama capital strips  Confederate president's name off road.  (Montgomery, Alabama.  Jefferson Davis.)

**  The Lost Cause wins a court battle in Arkansas.  (Fort Smith.  A win for us.  Unbelievable.  How's that happen?)

**  Group wants movie icon Bruce Lee, not Robert E. Lee,  as county namesake.  (Florida.  King-fuey!!)

Did Democrats or Republicans Start the KKK? Well, What Party Did Those Original KKK Guys Belong To?

APRIL 3, 2021

**  Letter:  Puncturing the Confederate 'Lost Cause' mythology.  (Hey Dude.  If you don't win, you lost.  Did the Confederacy succeed?)

**  Cop suspended over Confederate flag rant on Tik Tok:  'F-------- Democrats  started the KKK.'  (Well, they did.  Potty mouth cop.  But, now that we are holding everyone accountable to what happened in the past. it is time for the Democrats to own up to their KKK past.  Right guys?)

***********************************************

APRIL 4, 2021

**  Confederate symbols prove difficult to remove in many states.

**  Minnesota school's 'Rebel' mascot   to change after petition compares it to Confederate soldier.  (We all know that all it takes is one black person to be offended to "Get 'Er Done.)

**  The fight over  Confederate statues  continues in the South, despite last summer's protests.  (That's a good one.  Protests?  They were more like riots complete with burning and looting.  Let's hope that now the media knows what a riot looks like after that was what they called the attack on the Capitol in January.  Last summer it was simply civil unrest.)

**  Letter:  Ship Confederate statues to Mar-A-Lago's front lawn.

**  Are we witnessing the emergence of a new 'Lost Cause'?

**  Trump is threatening to form the Patriot Party.    That name has already been used -- by 'hillbilly socialists."  (From the nonpartisan Washington Post.  Yeah, you crackers.)

Three Years to Do Away With Those Pesky Confederate Named Bases. Were U.S. Senators Expelled for Not Accepting Lincoln's 1860 Election?

JANUARY 5, 2021

**  Thumbs up:  retiring Confederate generals.

**  Sons of Confederate Veterans opposes flag removal  from seal.  (Williamson County, Tennessee)

**  Activists vow to fight with Walker County Commissioners Court over Confederate monument.  (Huntsville, Alabama.  Again, Blacks have much bigger issues on their plate than Confederate monuments.  Again.  What do you have to do to become an activist?)

**  The Pentagon has three years to strip  Confederate names from  from bases.  Here's what comes next.  (Again, I am in favor of changing the names.  These men fought against the country.  Just DON'T name all the bases after black people.  All costs for name changes should be paid by those who want the bases renamed, however.)

**  Lost Cause marches on, 1861 to now.

**  The senators who were expelled after refusing to accept Lincoln's election.  (Washington Post.  I am kind of surprised to see them saying something like that.  This is going around media, but I found some reasonably believable information of this and they were expelled, but had already given up their seats and left for the new Confederacy and had not officially notified Congress that they had resigned..  I really get tired of all this twisting.)

DECEMBER 7, 2020

**   Florida  Rep pushes to eliminate holidays honoring  Confederate leaders.

**  James Gill:  The sinners of the Confederacy hunted down, but not very consistently.  (New Orleans.  Wants more Confederate, slavery, white supremacist names changed.  That James is one particularly nasty person.)

**  Don Noble;  Book contains timely assessment of Confederate monuments' history.

**  House could vote on proposal to remove Lee statue at Antietam National Battlefield.  (I would sure hate to see all Confederate monuments at battlefields removed.)

**  Biggest issues heading into 2021, renaming street signs named after confederate  soldiers and slave owners.  (Charlotte.  Come on WCNC.  Confederate is a proper name.  Looks like you should have known that.)

**  Trump's re-election is Confederacy's new 'Lost Cause'

Civil War II: BLM Going After UDC Headquarters. That "confederate" and "Black Adjective" Thing.

AUGUST 7, 2020.

**  Setting the Lost Cause on fire:  Protesters target the United Daughters of the Confederacy headquarters.  (In Sad Richmond.  Located just a few blocks from Monumentless Avenue.  Windows have been broken and a fire started inside, compliments of a BLM hate crime.  Wonder where the headquarters of BLM is?  Perhaps in one of those Chicago stores BLM has ransacked and looted twice in the last two months?  No, even they wouldn't be dumb enough to ransack their own headquarters...or would they ?)

**  Group wants to make SC city take down Confederate monument.  (Orangeburg)

**  Civil war rages over  confederate names of US military bases.  (Do they know that Confederate is considered a proper name?)

**  Alabama city  council votes to relocate Confederate monument.  (Calhoun County)

It Is Time to Remove That Lee Statue in Sad Richmond. SCV Gets Monument in N.C.. Lee County in Mississippi Keeps Statue

AUGUST 3, 2020

**  On the Other hand:  Looking for the 'Lost Cause.'

**  Judge starts new injunction barring Lee statue removal.  (This refers to the Lee statue in Sad Richmond on the former Monument Avenue.  I am against this.  After what BLM has done to it with their hate crimes, it is an embarrassment.  It needs to come down sooner, not later.  If you have seen a recent picture of it, you will know what I'm talking about.

I know that certain people are ecstatic when they see their work on the statue.  All it does for me is makes me angrier and dislike those people even more.

Sad Richmond has removed eleven monuments from the former avenue and other sites around the city.  That Sad Mayor is a real piece of work.  A black man by the way.)

******************************

AUGUST 4, 2020

**  Gaston Co. commissioners support  relocation of Confederate monument.  (North Carolina.  It will be gifted to the local SCV camp.  The county has set aside $200,000 for its relocation and the SCV has six months  to find a location and move it.  I still say that public money should not be used to move the statue.  The money should come from those who want it moved.)

**  Lee County confederate monument  to remain.  (Tupelo, Mississippi.  For some reason the radio station who had the news didn't know Confederate is a proper name and should be capitalized.  This is sure going to rile BLM.)

It Is Good to See the SCV and UDC Taking Charge of the Monuments.  --Old Secesh

Lee, the Face of the "Lost Cause", Let the People Vote to Decide, A Beach Towel Makes the News

JULY 31, 2020

**  Confederate monuments:  Robert E. Lee, the general who became the face of 'Lost Cause' mythology.  (Hey, they lost fighting for the cause of having a new country, so, that was the "Lost Cause."  Since so may died on both sides, I wouldn't call it exactly mythology.)

**  Floyd County Confederate monument  referendum issue remains undecided.  (Virginia.  Trying to decide if removal put to a vote of the people.  This is the correct way of determining whether or not a statue stays.  Something that's not sad coming out of Virginia.  Wow!!)

**  Unsettling report of a Confederate flag towel at Lighthouse Beach.  (Evanston, Illinois.  Now they're going after beach towels.  What about the people on the beach wearing the equally offensive symbols of hate and racism of the BLM?  The woman who made a big deal about this left work on purpose to start a confrontation.)

**  As the South's Confederate monuments come down, where will they end up?   (Good question.)

**  VMI to alter longstanding  traditions tied to its Confederate history, but leave statues in place.

**  Protest s renew calls  to remove Confederate monuments  at Texas Capitol grounds.  (Democrats want them gone.)

**  Not every fight over Confederate monuments end with a statue coming down.

More Venom from the NY Times, The Final End of the Lost Cause, West Point, NCAA and More Flags

JUNE 20, 2010

**  Why is the GOP fighting to preserve monuments to traitors in the Capitol?  (From the New York Times.  Not a surprising slant from them.  The Times and Washington Post seem to be the two newspapers with the most Confederate hatred venom.)

**  The controversy surrounding the removal of Confederate statues.

**  Rep. Mahoney asks Army to remove Confederate symbols at West Point.  (I'd like to see them remove that 150-pound Armstrong cannon the U.S. Army captured at Fort Fisher, N.C., and return it to that site.  Come on Rep. Mahoney!!!!)

**  Editorial:  The final end of the Lost Cause.  (You can say that again.  George Floyd "done" us in.)

**  NCAA bans Mississippi championships over Confederate symbol in state flag.  (They won't have any NCAA championships in the state.  Maybe they should be more interested in all the cheating that occurs in their Power Five conferences, though.)

**  Athens County Fair Board should ban Confederate flags.

Republicans Break From Trump on Base Names, Florida, Dolly Parton and Alaska

JUNE 16, 2020

**  McConnell 'OK'  with removing Confederate names from bases.

**  Discussions underway for the future of Confederate monument in Fort Smith.

**  Florida country reconsiders housing Confederate statue.

**  Confederate symbols are coming down.  Should Dolly Parton  go up instead?  (New York Times.  Well, that figures.)

**  Spencer Black:  Flying the Confederate flag  only serves to honor racism.  (He's from Wisconsin.  Why were the non-Confederate statues "vandalized" in Madison w short time ago?

**  Sen. Lamar Alexander  breaks from Trump  on taking Confederate names off military bases.

**  Not just a lost cause, but a cause that deserved to lose.  (Alaska chimes in.)

**  Unauthorized camera  removed from Confederate statue.

**  Hanover County School Board to discuss possible resolutions to NAACP suit.   (They want them to change the names of two schools named after Confederates.)

**  Editorial:  A very thorough and correct investigation  of UNC police.  (Thinks they were too easy on "neo-Confederates" as they called them.)

**  Activist files to run against Tennessee's US Rep. Jim Cooper.  The black activist has held protests at the Tennessee Capitol and was arrested in February for throwing a cup of liquid at lawmakers while protesting am bust of Nathan Forrest in the Capitol.
