**  Thumbs up:  retiring Confederate generals.

**  Sons of Confederate Veterans opposes flag removal  from seal.  (Williamson County, Tennessee)

**  Activists vow to fight with Walker County Commissioners Court over Confederate monument.  (Huntsville, Alabama.  Again, Blacks have much bigger issues on their plate than Confederate monuments.  Again.  What do you have to do to become an activist?)

**  The Pentagon has three years to strip  Confederate names from  from bases.  Here's what comes next.  (Again, I am in favor of changing the names.  These men fought against the country.  Just DON'T name all the bases after black people.  All costs for name changes should be paid by those who want the bases renamed, however.)

**  Lost Cause marches on, 1861 to now.

**  The senators who were expelled after refusing to accept Lincoln's election.  (Washington Post.  I am kind of surprised to see them saying something like that.  This is going around media, but I found some reasonably believable information of this and they were expelled, but had already given up their seats and left for the new Confederacy and had not officially notified Congress that they had resigned..  I really get tired of all this twisting.)

**  Cuomo salutes Confederate flag censors.  (New York governor)

**  New New York law bans  sale of Confederate flags on state property.  (I'm sure they sold a whole lot of Confederate flags on state property before this law.)

**  Vote set on Confederate monument.  (Walker County, Texas.  Since the vote will be by politicians, we know how this vote will go.  They're all afraid to stand up to BLM probably for fear of rioting.

**  Confederate Christmas ornaments  are smaller than statues -- but they send the same racist message.  (So, we've come to this.  Does BLM know no boundaries?   BLM should leave "them" ornaments alone and stick to what they know:  rioting, looting, burning and committing hate crimes.)

**  Changing the name of Dixie State University supported by the board.  (Utah.  In 2009, the school's nickname changed from Rebels to Red Storm.)

**  Patrick J. Buchanan:  After Lee, it's Lincoln's turn.  (A school district in San Francisco wants the name of Lincoln Highway changed for crimes against Indians.)

**  Ole Miss players pleased with tarps obstructing view of  campus Confederate monument.  (So glad they are now happy.  You really don't want unhappy football players.)

**  Both sides forge respect during battle over Confederate statues in Memphis.  (In case you don't remember, Memphis found a questionable way to skirt around the issue to remove the Nathan Forrest and Jefferson Davis statues by selling the park to an organization formed just for the occasion. That "organization" then took the statues down.  Very sneaky Memphis.)

**  Portsmouth police chief releases statement about investigation  into Confederate monument protest.  (14 rioters committing hate crimes were charged with felonies.)

**  Stonewall Jackson's arm:  How Clarksburg, West Virginia, grapples with its Confederate heritage."

**  Mail-in ballots were part of a plot to  deny Lincoln reelection in 1864.

**  Scholar expresses interest  in consulting local statue committee regarding Confederate statue.  (Nathan Forrest statue in Rome, Georgia)

**  Fort Bragg, named for a racist Confederate general, considers a name change.  (Okay, do you know for a fact that he was racist?)

**  'It's time for a change':   Dozens gather at Fort Mills Confederate Park calling for repeal of the Heritage Act.  (South Carolina)

**  Confederate monument outside Tarrant County Courthouse removed.

**  Look out Lincoln, Washington, Alamo:  Memorial take-downs won't stop with Confederates.  (You can say that again.  And, what will the Blacks say when the target becomes Martin Luther King, Jr.? )

**  A different kind of 'new normal.'

**  Alabama city's Confederate statue relocated to a museum.  (Mobile, Alabama, statue of Raphael Semmes to History Museum of Mobile.  The city did the right thing and removed it before BLM could deface it.)
