Of course, it is my belief that the absolute best way to determine how people stand on statue removal would be to put it to a vote. I'd go along with the will of the majority of the people and also am fairly sure that, unless the people in a voting district are primarily Blacks, the vote will be to keep the statues. Their bodies are finally out of that city by the Mississippi River which never did anything to stop the desecration that certain non-white groups and their white minions did to the tombs of Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife, Mary Anne.
But, as the Sons of Confederate Veterans get ready to rebury them in a place of safety, the amount of precaution they have to go through is amazing. This should not happen to the dead.
Why do you suppose all the precautions have to be taken?
And, in the meantime, so far during the Labor Day weekend in Chicago, the tally of shootings, most of whom are Black-on-Black, stands at 6 killed and 60 wounded. One of the five dead is a 4-year-old boy.
