Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

No More 'Hey Reb!' at UNLV, Who 'Attacked' Confederate Statue in Louisiana? Confederate Flags.

JANUARY 22, 2021

**  County commissioners vote to remove controversial Confederate monument, put it in storage.  (Gwinnett County, Georgia.  No big surprise, as I predicted the other day, about them voting to remove it.  Again, it should have been put to a vote by the people, not just politicians afraid of BLM coming to their homes.  What we need is some politicians with a backbone.  The monument was only controversial because Blacks did like it.)

**  UNLV drops  'Hey Reb!' mascot over perceived Confederate ties.  (University of Nevada Las Vegas. They will, however, keep the name Rebels.  Sorry guys, the word Rebel connotes Confederate more than your "Hey Reb!" guy.)

**  Confederate statue in Louisiana damaged, nose missing.  (Lafayette, Louisiana.  Statue of General Alfred Mouton.  Authorities not sure who did it, but I have a probably culprit in mind.  And, this is NOT vandalism, but a HATE CRIME.)

**  Is removing Confederate monuments, changing sports teams names just a distraction?

**  Rocklin student  disciplines for displaying  Confederate flag at school sparks debate.  (Rocklin, California.  What happens if a student has a BLN flag?)

No 'Rebels' 'Round Here. South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina

AUGUST 7, 2020

**  Virginia high school drops Confederate nickname 'Rebels.'  (Douglas S. Freeman High School in Henrico County.  In Sad Richmond.  Douglas Freeman wrote the acclaimed multi-volume series of books "R.E. Lee", "Lee's Lieutenants" and "George Washington.  As such, they are going to have to consider changing the name of the school.   Maybe they could call the school's teams the Seceshes?)

**  Mayor White:  COVID-19, police accountability slow  Greenville's Confederate monument plans.  (South Carolina)

**  Albemarle County votes to remove 111-year-old Confederate  soldier statue.  (Charlottesville, Sad Virginia.  Exactly how long does it take some people to discover that they are offended.  111 years seems like a real long time.)

**  Confederate statue removed from Denton's square after 21-year fight.  (Texas.  Well, at least "they" knew 21-years ago that '"they" were offended.)

**  Black cheerleader quits after squad poses with Confederate flag shirt.   (Daphne High School in Daphne, Alabama.  Six white cheerleaders posed with a tee shirt with the words I (heart with a Confederate flag in it) Redneck Boys.  Notice that the white in white cheerleaders was not capitalized.  Should it have been?  I guess we should be offended by the term Redneck and Redneck boys.  But not.)

**  Moving NC Confederate statue 'smacks of  ethnic genocide,' woman says ahead of  protest.  (Gaston)

The Second Civil War: Flags, Replacements, Vermont, Minnesota and British Columbia

JULY 19, 2020

**  Esper unveils  guidance on symbols effectively banning Confederate flag on military installations.  (Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.)

**  Good  trouble?  Replace Confederate symbols with statues of Civil Rights leaders.  (Absolutely not.  You can put them up elsewhere, but not where a Confederate statue had been.  This especially in Sad Richmond.  This would be a slap in the face.)

**  Why do some Vermonters display the Confederate flag?

**  Vote to remove Pensacola Confederate monument temporarily halted by judge.  (Florida)

**  Trump keeps fighting  a Confederate flag battle  many supporters have conceded.

**  Minnesota's baffling collection of Confederate high school mascots.  (Although they only mentioned Murray County Central High School, Home of the Rebels.)

**  Bulloch  commissioners to vote  on 'contextual marker' near Confederate monument in Statesboro.  (Georgia)

**  VIDEO:  Summerland mayor destroys bandanas with Confederate symbols.  (British Columbia.   Hopefully, she paid for them and didn't litter.)

**  Political Horizons:  LSU needs to come to terms with tiger nickname's Confederate past.  (Named after a Confederate regiment from Louisiana.)

**  PHOTOS:  Confederate Soldiers of Charles County Monument.  (Virginia.  I see our BLMers have already been there.)

Still Mad About Silent Sam Settlement and Ole Miss on Statue Relocation

January 31, 2020

**  Top UM fundraisers, including current athletic director, support Confederate statue relocation.  (Ole Miss.  At least they propose moving it to an in-campus Confederate cemetery.  But now, what about the school's nickname, the Rebels?)

**  Seeking to nix $25 million deal , UNC alumni say Confederate group never owned 'Silent Sam.'  (Again, had the UNC students not committed a hate crime and torn down the statue, this would not have been a problem.  But this is the second time I've read an article about this "group of UNC alumni and donors" and as of yet, I have not seen the name of the "group" other than there are almost a hundred of them.  Who are they?  Are they a group of black alumni and donors?  Inquiring minds would like to know.)

** Group of UNC alumni say pro-Confederate group had no standing on Silent Sam suit.  (This article says there are 88 alumni in the group, including 14 members of the UNC Black Pioneers.  Also, some of the alumni are alumni of note and lists names.  Two of these were Whites and two were Blacks.)

**  Letter:  Confederate generals are still honored by the Army , too.  (From the Washington Post which is becoming a major anti-anything Confederate source.)

Imagine the SCV Being Considered Pro-Confederate.  --Old Secesh
