Best FUs for Confederate Monuments-- Part 2

Okay, here's the list of things Blacks have done that please her:

1.  Bree Newsome climbing the flag pole at the South Carolina Capitol and taking down the Confederate flag.

2.  Kehinde Wiley's statue in Richmond.

3.  An anonymous hero  swiping flags from a graveyard full of traitors in Virginia.  (There is a special place in hell for people who desecrate a cemetery.)

4.  A couple  calmly firing a contractor  who pulled up to work in a truck fly the Confederate flag.

5.  Savana High School (California) got rid of their Johnny Reb mascot.

6.  Tyler Perry building his studio on Confederate land.

7.  Silent San statue at UNC pulled down.  (So sad.  Every student in the video should be expelled and the ones who pulled it down and then did their little celebratory dance on it should be arrested.)

8.  Black man snatching Confederate flag on live TV in Charleston, SC.

9.  Tennessee activists committing hate crime on Confederate monument.

Now, numbers 2, 4, 5 and 6 are not criminal offenses, but  the first three could be classified as hate crimes.  The rest of them are criminal activity and should be prosecuted.

So, someone apparently is saying that people should go out and be criminals.

And, when I see one of those giant Confederate flags flying alongside an interstate, I'm thinking that's a big FU to all those intending to bury the Confederacy.

The Second Civil War: Statues, Statues, Statues, a School and a Band

**  Costello:  The Confederate war memorial--Let it be.  (Loudon County, Va.  The Democratic-controlled board of supervisors, headed by Phylis J. Randall, a black woman, wants to remove the monument.)

**  Confederate statues in the State Capitol remain unaddressed.  (Richmond, Va. Free Press, a black newspaper.--  There are Confederate statues and busts inside it and outside of it.  Needless to say, they want them all gone.  Of course, once the bill is signed, they will be taken down.)

**  Wiley statue in Richmond bridges both Confederate and black urban styles.  (They can put up their statues and take down ours.)

**  Richmond dedicates Barack Obama Elementary School, formerly named for Confederate commander.  (J.E.B. Stuart--  I support renaming any school named after a Confederate serving primarily black students.)

**  County ups the ante in search for art to replace controversial Confederate statue.  (Gainesville, Florida--  This will cost the county $40,000.  Cost to have kept the Confederate statue would have been $0.)

**  Birmingham's mayor criticizes law protecting Confederate monuments, says one should not exist in America's fourth blackest city.  (Big surprise, the mayor is a black man.  Who's racist now?

By the way, this article in Newsweek was accompanied by a 45 second video of the UNC students committing the hate crime against the Silent Sam statue.  They seemed really happy at the time, but not so happy when the bill came.

**  Night Ranger and Confederate Railroad play Marathon tomorrow.  (Marathon in the Florida Keys.  Old Toilets can't do anything about it as it is out of his jurisdiction.)

Charlottesville Heats Up, A New Confederate Hate Group, Those Racist Monuments

**  Students lead protest over Confederate flag, dress code.  (North Carolina high school)

**  Sign marking Confederate history  is one of the latest  to disappear in NC, officials  say.  (Greensboro, N.C.)  This one is about the Confederate cabinet fleeing after Appomattox.  The other is about UNC-Greensboro.  More action by Confederate-haters?

**  Hudson launches campaign to support Confederate  monuments bill.    A newly elected state legislator (called Delegates in Va.) and she is a white person.  We always need to know what race people are who do these things.  (Charlottesville, Va.)

By the way, the Robert E. Lee statue there is shown in the news report and it sure looks like Mr. Wiley copied this statue.

**  Confederate flag license plate leads to firefighter's lawsuit against county.  (Montgomery County, Maryland)  Claims other firefighters harass him because he is black and a Muslim.

**  New coalition demands state cede control of Confederate monuments.  (Charlottesville, Va.)  Evidently this group calls itself Monumental Justice Virginia and one of the leaders is a former city councilman who is a Black.  Of interest, they note that there are 220 Confederate monuments in Virginia.

**  The escalating fight over racist monuments in the South.

**  Monumental Justice Virginia campaign rally held at Free Speech Wall in Charlottesville.  Mostly white people there.

**  Campus safety will be a key issue  for UNC leaders and students in 2020.  (Yes, we must insure that no student gets hurt when they are committing a hate crime and pulling down an offending Confederate monument.  Maybe they should also look into protecting innocent statues from hate-based attacks.)

**  Kehinde Wiley's anti-Confederate memorial.  (He is the sculptor of the new monument in Richmond, Virginia.  I am hoping people pay more respect to it than they do to Confederate monuments even though it is racist.)

**  Upcoming court date in ongoing Confederate monument  court battle reset.  (Caddo, Louisiana)

**  NWA Letters to the Editor "Statue deserves new place in context of area history.  (Bentonville, Arkansas.  Wants Confederate statue moved.)

**  Confederate Railroad coming to Jackson County Fair.  (Iowa.  Here's hoping Gov. "Toilets" of Illinois won't cause it to be cancelled because of the logo and name.)

**  Resident objects to vendor's booth at Old Tyme Fair in New Jersey with Confederate flag for sale.

**  Confederate roses.  I did not know there was a type of rose named this, but hopefully the name won't have to be changed because of their connection to the "S" word.

Well, if Confederate monuments are racist, I guess Mr. Wiley's monument is of the same sort.

**  A statue of a black man on a horse has a new home in then heart of the Confederacy.

**  Civil rights lawyers stake claim in Confederate statue case. (Silent Sam statue money)

**  Meghan McCain on Nikki Haley's opposing Confederate flags comments:  'This will haunt her.'

**  Nikki Haley "disqualified for national office" after Confederate flag remarks, "View" co-hosts say.

**  Friday Letters:  Confederate monuments.

**  Goldman Sachs employees want to cancel a Nikki Haley interview after her Confederate flag remarks.

**  Kahinde Wiley responds to Confederate statues.  He is the black man who made the new Rumors of War statue in Richmond.  He also did the Barack Obama presidential painting and two paintings with something to do with two "Kill Whitey".

**  Meeks amendment  prohibiting Confederate names  for DOD assets included   in NDAA passage.  Gregory Meeks, a black man, is a U.S. Representative from New York.
