Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

Confederadication: Oh That Flag!! The Progress Made by BLM Riots. Luke Combs and Fort Jackson

AUGUST 13, 2022

**  Confederate flag is gone, but new Burlington residents who felt threatened are unhappy with city's response.  (Gosh.  How horrible.)

**  Five years of  steady progress  since 'Unite the Right' rally.  (SPLC.  And that includes all the businesses and stores destroyed by the BLMers in 2020.)

**   7 Civil War streamers modern-day US Army units will be forced to remove.

*********************************

AUGUST 14, 2022

**  Luke Combs apologizes for Confederate flag use:  'I am now aware of how painful that image can be'.  (He is a country performer and had a you-know-what flag in a 2015 video.  Now Blacks can feel safe going to one of his concerts.)

**  Fort Jackson has  more Confederate names  than all but three military bases.  (South Carolina.  Streets named for Confederates.  It is named for Andrew Jackson, not Stonewall Jackson, but not on the army's "Hit List" but as you know, he owned slaves, so....)

The Second Civil War: There SPLC Goes Again, making Those Confederate Hit Lists

SEPTEMBER 28, 2021

**  Five Missouri schools have Confederate names, some want to that to change.  (Our good ol' SPLC boys are at it again making their famed "Lists" of names and things they don't like because they are Confederate and thus racist.  Of course, I've always thought that hating any and all things Confederate is a bit racist in itself since Confederates were white people.

Still waiting for that lost of towns and cities where looting and burning took place last year by BLM as well as damage done.  But, kind of doubt it will ever be made as it makes their side look kind of bad.

The five Missouri schools and location:

Breckenridge  Elementary in Breckenridge

Breckenridge High in Breckenridge

MuCullough Elementary in Republic

Price Elementary in Republic

Jackson Park Elementary in University City

I can see a further problem with the two schools in Breckenridge, Missouri.  Can you?

SPLC also says there are Confederate-named schools in  Minnesota (3) California (2) and Washington (1).

SPLC Again, Southern Baptists, Chris Green, and Robert E. Lee

JUNE 12, 2021

**  Southern Poverty Law Center podcast dives into Stone Mountain Park's  future, Confederate imagery.  (Do you think they will be for or against the "Confederate imagery?"   Hey, SPLC, where is that list on the number of businesses looted, burned and destroyed during last years BLM riots?))

**  If we're rescinding Southern Baptist history, let's undo our link with the Confederacy.

**  Chris' journey:  One year after a Confederate statue hit Chris Green in Portsmouth, he fights his way back from a traumatic brain injury.  (He was there with rioters pulling down a Confederate statue and they pulled it down on him.  The riot was at the behest of a Virginia state senator and various NAACP people.  Should Green's family bring lawsuit against them and the other rioters who maimed him?)

****************************

JUNE 13, 2021

**  Confederate Robert E. Lee's racist legacy fuels renaming push.  (Aljazeera.  Arabic news channel.  Of course, that part of the world is noted for its love of all people.)

**  Virginia county plans to rename Robert E. Lee Highway  for abolitionist.  (Arlington County.    Renamed for John Langston, a black man.  Of course, all Confederate-named items must be renamed after black people.)

So Sad That Cities Across America Have to Prepare for BLM Riots As Decision in Minneapolis Approaches

What has the United States come to where anytime court decisions are handed down that a certain group of people don't like, every city has to prepare for the inevitable BLM riots (even though our extremely biased media refers to it as peaceful demonstrations and civil unrest)?

So sad.

Now, I agree with PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS, but that is rare when that certain group is involved.  It degenerates to confrontation with authorities, lots of really bad language, burning, looting and in general rioting.

This did not happen when O.J. was acquitted in one of the most racist trials in U.S. history, but that was because that certain group got what they wanted.

Wouldn't it be something is the verdict goes against Blacks and their BLM, if they did have peaceful demonstrations?

We don't need another 2020.

I guess some folks need those new large screen HDTVs, top of the line cell phones, jewelry and clothes.

Is BLM a Terrorist Group? 7 Civil War Battles, Kentucky, Kappa Alpha Order, Military and SPLC List

MARCH 6, 2021

**  Letter to Editor:  Confederate flag and terrorism.  (Personally, I regard anything with BLM on it as terrorism.)

**  7 Critical Civil War Battles.  (How about this!!  Actual Civil War.  I'll list these three in my Saw the Elephant:  Civil War blog tomorrow in case you're wondering what they were.)

**  Confederate statue won't be moved to city property.  (Owensboro, Kentucky, Daviess County)

**  Tribune Star Editorial:  Fraternity should disassociate itself  with Confederate icon.  (Terre Haute, Indiana.  Kappa Alpha Order at Indiana State University.)

**  Commentary:  As military seeks to eliminate extremism, it must also remove  symbols of discrimination.

***********************************

MARCH 7, 2021

**  SPLC report:  24 Confederate symbols removed  from NC in 2020, 2nd ranking among states for removal.  (And when SPLC talks, people listen.  Now if they would just make up that list of BLM "peaceful demonstrations" last summer that turned into riots with any combination of confrontations, hate crimes (attacking Confederate statues), looting and burning I would be a happy lad.  Come on guys, you know you can do it (unless you're afraid it might make your side look bad.))

Come On SPLC, Where's That BLM Riot List? Virginia, Florida, Confederate Flags in Oregon, An Indian Confederate General, Georgia

MARCH 2, 2021

**  Virginia leads the nation with the highest number of Confederate monuments, symbols removed.  (SPLC again.  71 were removed.   Sure wish they'd make that list about BLM "peaceful demonstration" that became violent and had looting, rioting, arsons and hate crimes committed against Confederate monuments.)

**  Confederate symbols removed from Florida in 2020.  (There were ten of them according to none other than SPLC, the Southern Law Poverty Center.)

**  Ban Confederate flags at school?  Committee focuses on new legislation.  (Oregon.  Of course if you ban Confederate flags, BLM items should also be banned as they support rioting, looting, arson, violent  confrontation and hate crimes.  When people go after a Confederate monument that is a hate crime.)

**  The last Confederate general to surrender was an Indian.  (Hey, every so often you just have to have something from the real Civil War, not this liberal revisionist stuff.  In case you're wonder, the general's name was Stand Watie.)

**  Ga, lawmaker authors bill to abolish Confederate monuments in the Peach State.  (A black woman.)

Civil War II: SPLC Says 160 Monuments Gone. Where's That new List, Guys? Sad R., Michigan,

FEBRUARY 23, 2021

**  SPLC: 160 Confederate monuments taken down last year.  (That would be the ultra-racist group Southern Poverty Law Center who are so noted for their exhaustive lists, especially their hit list for Confederate anythings.  They list 'em and want them to come down.  Well done, guys and gals.  But, we're still waiting for your list of BLM "peaceful demonstrations" that turned into "civil unrest" of the rioting, looting, arson, confrontational and hate crimes vs. Confederate statues from back in 2020.)

**  Some reflections on Richmond and Confederate statues.  (Sad R.)

**  Committee unveils three possible changes to Confederate statue in West Michigan.  (Allendale, Michigan.  That statue has sure caused controversy.

Three possible options:

1.  Replace it with abstract statue with quotes about the war.

2.  Replace it with statue of Benjamin Jones, an escaped slave and Union soldier who settled there.

3.  Put plexiglass around the existing statue.

**  Hearing on Confederate monument postponed.  (Brunswick, Ga.  It was defaced with BLM letters last summer.)

**  Georgia Democrats make new push to remove Confederate symbols.  (Real hard to believe that the party of BLM riots, arson, looting and hate crimes would do something like this.)

Texas Universities, Virginia, Georgia, Back in the Days, Heroes Day

JANUARY 26, 2021

**  Texas universities promise action  after summer's racial reckoning.  But they're still reluctant to shed Confederate relics.

**  Committee to offer  recommendation on Botetourt County Confederate monument.  (Virginia)

**  Controversial Confederate monument finds new home in storage unit.  (Lawrenceville, Georgia)

**  Activist who removed  Confederate flag from South Carolina State Capitol in 2015 to address URI community Feb. 2.  (Univ. of Rhode Island.  At the time, I thought this was absolutely horrible, but it pales compared to all the violence, rioting, looting, burning and hate crimes committed by BLM this past summer.)

Media Goes Bonkers Over Confederate Flag(s) in U.S. Capitol. The Rev. Rob Lee Opens Mouth.

JANUARY 8, 2021

I was wondering what the reaction to the one or two Confederate flags I saw at the riot Wednesday would be.  Here we go:

**  Fairfax moving forward with removal of Confederate iconography.  Virginia.  Once all the Confederate stuff is down then they should start on removing all  BLM stuff.  All that stuff means is looting, burning, rioting, attacking police and hate crimes against Confederate monuments.  Take a look at that Lee monument in Sad R..  If people did that to a Martin Luther King monument, what would it be called?)

**  Before Wednesday, insurgents waving Confederate flags hadn't been within 6 miles of US Capitol.  (I saw one, maybe two Confederate flags, but a whole lot of U.S. flags.  I kind of knew that when certain folks on the other side saw that, they'd go bonkers.

**  A Confederate flag at the Capitol summons America's demons.  (They sure did go bonkers.)

**  Today, the Confederate flag flew in the United States Capitol.  (Again, I see a BLM flag or banner, I'm thinking let the riots, burning and looting begin.)

**  Black veterans  angered, saddened by Confederate flag  inside US Capitol during riots.  (I wonder how they feel about BLM flags?)

**  Descendant of Robert E. Lee decries Confederate flag in the Capitol.  (The Right Rev. Rob Lee opens mouth again.  We've heard from the man before.   Maybe he should change his last name.  That must carry great shame with the man.)

As far as the flag in the Capitol, there should have been no flags of any sort in there being carried by those rioters.  That was a blow to the whole United States.  How  could it have been allowed to happen?  But, I hope that the next time BLM is having one of their riots, that  the media will call it as such.  Now that we know that they know a riot when they see a riot.  Last summer and fall, they seemed to have no idea.

It's Friday and No BLM Rioting in Kenosha!! Thank You Guys. So Proud of You.

To their credit, BLM has not gotten all the rioting, looting and burning going as they did last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin.   And the decision not to try the policeman for shooting the black man did not start it as many expected.

The law forces were on high alert and even the Wisconsin National Guard was called in.

Perhaps the size of forces arrayed against them caused BLM to back down from rioting.  Very likely the fact that it is winter and kind of cold around this part of the country had something to do with no looting.

Perhaps, even, those folks have finally figured out that rioting, looting and burning do absolutely nothing for their cause but turn off many people, including me, from any possible support.  Although, in my case, the fact they are the ones messing with Confederate monuments is enough to turn me against them.

I agree that too many black people get hurt or killed by the police, but in most cases that I have seen, the problem started when the Blacks refused to obey the police.  Had they done what the police had said, the problem would not have taken place.

That man in Kenosha who was shot, had been tasered three times and did not go down.  Most people who are tazed go down after just one shot.  Either Kenosha cops are using bad tasers or there was something going on with the black guy.  And then, after repeated requests and multiple tazing, the guy grabbed a knife.  Come On!!!  However, getting shot that many times was way too much.

I'd sure like to know if he had a criminal record in Evanston, Illinois, where he grew up, or one in Kenosha where he had moved.  And why did the woman he'd had children with call the police?  Was he doing something wrong?

Like Chris Rock says"  "Obey the law and be polite."

This just in, "Tonight's riot is canceled because it's too cold."

But, I Am So Proud of BLM for Not Rioting, Looting or Burning.  Thanks Guys.  --Old Secesh

Will BLM Be Rioting in Kenosha Tonight? Nancy Gets Hers.

JANUARY 5, 2021

I was listening to a radio station this morning and heard that the City of Kenosha, Wisconsin,  is preparing for riots and that the state governor has called out some 500 National Guard soldiers for that possibility. The county is determining whether the officer who shot the black man should be tried.

Should the decision be to try him there will be no problem.

But, if the decision is not to try him, BLM and their white minions will be out there rioting, burning and looting.  It is what they do best.

Look at all the preparations that were made in major U.S. cities during the presidential election.  Had trump won, BLM would have been out there rioting, burning and looting.  That is what they do.

In my opinion, anyone who backs this group supports rioting, looting and burning.

Of course, it's winter in the Midwest right now.  Maybe they'll wait for nicer weather.

**  I just had to chuckle a bit when the U.S. House Speaker, a noted supporter of BLM had her house vandalized because of the relief paychecks.  Wonder who vandalized her home?  It was Confederate statues or paintings.

Oh, Well.  You Know How They Get When They Don't Get Their Way.  --Old Secesh

About That Mitch McConnell Confederate Flag Picture. Who Are the Real Bad Guys These Days?

JANUARY 2, 2021

**  Mitch McConnell's infamous  Confederate flag photo resurfaces after he shuts down  $2,000 payments.   (It shows him standing in front of a huge Confederate flag, probably accepting a plaque from the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV).  The article goes on to say the SCV is "a group whose motives have often been questioned.  While it claims to be an organization for historical preservation, it has focused mainly on fighting for the right to display Confederate symbols publicly in recent decades.")

Remember, though, that the majority of those who want all vestiges of the Confederacy gone are largely those people who have been rioting, looting, burning and committing hate crimes (against Confederate monuments) in the streets of the United States.  To my knowledge, not one single SCV group has done that.

And, remember that before 2011 and the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, Confederate statues and flags were all around and, other than from a few, accepted.  These, of course in the days before the "Woke" idiocy.  The tempo has sure picked up since the Charleston church and Floyd murders.

To me, anything with BLM on it is much more offensive than any Confederate symbol.  It says, in effect, "I support rioting, burning, looting and hate crimes."  I don't know about you, but I have a hard time supporting any group that does that.

So, who are the "Bad Guys" here?

The Second Civil War: Louisiana, Arlington House, Fort Bragg, Activists, Trump's Mentality and Texas

DECEMBER 25, 2020

**  White supremacist's statue off Louisiana high court steps.  (Edward  White.  Also a member of U.S. Supreme Court.  His crimes:  Fought for the Confederacy and upheld racial segregation laws.)

**  Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee memorial, must be renamed. (Washington Post.  Big surprise they'd say that.    Excuse me, but wasn't the reason for Arlington National Cemetery being there a slap in the face to Lee in the first place?  Does this mean the name of the cemetery must also be changed?)

**  Top stories of 2020:    Push to rename Fort Bragg, installations named after Confederate generals.  (Fayetteville, North Carolina)

********************************

DECEMBER 26, 2020

**  Activists don't want Confederate monuments, larger issues to be swept under the rug in 2021.  (But, why weren't the activists out there activating against Confederate monuments before Floyd?  Did they know those statues were there and had been for over 100 years?  Inquiring minds want to know.)

**  The Confederate Mental States of Trump.

**  A historic pandemic, Confederate statue, Floyd protests among top stories for 2020.  (Denton. Texas.  Confederate statue removed from court house.  When are they going to quit calling what happened in the wake of George Floyd's death protests or civil unrest.  They were RIOTS, LOOTING, BURNING and HATE CRIMES.)

Well At Least We Don't Have to Have BLM Rioting, Looting and Burning

With the election of Joe Biden as the next president, the major cities of the United States can breathe a sigh of relief as there will not be any rioting.  They were prepared for it.

If Donald Trump would have won, BLM and their white minions would have been out in the streets and we would have a repeat of what happens so often when BLM commits to "peaceful demonstrations" which turn into, as the media puts it, "civil unrest."  This is actually what most call rioting, looting and burning.

Since Joe Biden won, you will not be seeing Trump supporters out BLMing it as it were.  Congratulations to President-Elect Biden.  The people have spoken.

A Deeply Troubling Election, Cities Preparing for BLM Riots and Looting

It was with much consternation that I saw news clips over this past weekend about Chicago's preparations for tomorrow's election.  It is going to be all forces out to prevent anticipated rioting depending upon the election's outcome.

It is a sad day that this country has come to this.

And, we know who will be doing the burning, looting and rioting.  They have already done it twice in Chicago since he end of May.

Rest assured, if Joe Biden wins, Trump supporters will not be out in the streets rioting.  But, if Donald Trump wins, you can bet that BLM and their white minions will be doing their usual thing.  And that is burning, looting and rioting.

Media will be out in force on those streets.  Always makes for good ratings.

Still Waiting for SPLC to Come Up with List of BLM Rioting, Looting and Burnings. Arkansas, Florida, Virginia. Tennessee

SEPTEMBER 23, 2020

**  Fort Smith discusses a possible move for Confederate statue.  (Arkansas.  City wants to move it to Oak Cemetery.  UDC owns statue and says the city would have to start keeping the city-owned cemetery in better shape.  It is in bad shape now, even though it is historical.  Also, the cost of removal is estimated at $90,000 and the city says that will have to be paid for privately.  Here is a great chance for those who want it to be removed to put their money where their mouths are and cough up the funds. The UDC owns the land on which the statue sits in front of the court house, so it can't be removed without  their okay.)

**  Dispute over Robert E. Lee bust not over in Fort Myers.   (Florida)

**  Surry mum on statue relocation.  (Virginia)

***********************************************

SEPTEMBER 24, 2020

**  Comparing Tennessee's  process to remove Confederate monuments to other southern states.  (According to SPLC, there are six states with preservation acts designed to keep cities from removing their Confederate monuments and memorials.  Article tells how things stand in those six states.

The six states:   Mississippi, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.  (Hmmnn, that's seven states.  Someone made a mistake.)

Since that racist group calling themselves is into making and keeping "hit lists" on anything Confederate, I would like to see them expand their lists and make one on how many BLM demonstrations there have been since the Floyd killing and how many of those have led to confrontations with the police, hate crimes when Confederate statues have been attacked, arson, rioting and looting.  Come on guys and gals, I know you can do it!!)

Come On SPLC.  You Can Do It.  You Know You Can Do It.  --Old Secesh

Sad Lexington, Virginia: North Carolina and Sad R.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2020

**  Protests continue over Confederate monument in Gaston County.  (North Carolina)

**  Unnamed Confederate soldier  statue to be moved from Albemarle County courthouse in Charlottesville.  (Virginia)

**  Virginia city renames  burial site of Confederate Gen. Stonewall Jackson.  (Lexington, Virginia.  The city council voted unanimously to change the name of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery to Oak Grove Cemetery.  The article said he owned slaves and fought to defend the practice.  Sadly, I looked at many sites but could not find pictures of the city council to see how many are black people.  Their voting to change the name wouldn't be a racist thing, would it?)

**  Sad R. (the city formerly the Confederate capital and still Virginia capital) has removed  the most Confederate symbols  in the country since the killing of George Floyd.  Here's how it happened.  (This article cited the racist group Southern Poverty Law Center's Confederate hit list.  They still haven't made a new list of BLM "Peaceful protests" that became riots and looting, however.  Strange that such a list-making organization couldn't come up with this kind of list.)

Nothing to Be Proud of Sad R.  --Old Secesh

Chicago Crime, Murder & Mayhem Update: Another Bloody Weekend Begins and Downtown Chicago Prepares for BLM 'Peaceful Demonstrations' and Possible Rioting and Looting

From the Hey Jackass site.

Weekend tallies go from noon Friday to 6 am Monday.

Jersey barriers and decorative flower pots on Michigan Ave., plywood forests sprouting again downtown, 12-hour shifts and officer safety alerts issued, plus all the usual  nonsense has all the ingredients of a mostly peaceful weekend.

But, BLM plans "peaceful demonstrations" in downtown Chicago this weekend.  We'll see how long that lasts.  But with near overwhelming force, Chicago police should be able to keep the BLM rioters and looters at bay.

I know this does not directly pertain to Confederate monuments, but the main group attacking them is Black Lives Matter (BLM).  And, since they profess to care about black lives, I thought these numbers, which by far are mostly Black-on-Black shootings and murders, would be of interest.

The site takes the numbers from the public record.  These are not made up.

****************************************

Okay, here we go:

The "Stupidity Tally" so far this weekend (starting at noon Friday):

The first 3 1/2 hours were peaceful.

Since then:

3 Killed and 9 wounded as of 11 pm Friday.

This does not include the overnight shootings which are always higher.

*****************************************

Week in progress  (8-23 to 8-29):

11 killed, 95 wounded

August to Date:

51 killed, 383 wounded

Year to Date:

463 killed, 2287 wounded

******************************************

Like I said, if BLM is so concerned with black lives, maybe they should be marching in their own neighborhoods.

The site has a great poster of its "Bridges Up, Don't Loot" saying.  Check it out.

Hey, NBA!! Go Ahead and Cancel the Season

I don't know, but when I see multi-millionaire black NBA basketball players telling about how hard it is to grow up Black in the United States, I just can't help but smile.  After all, they earn more in one year than I did in 33 years of teaching.  AND, I am a white person.  Tell me about how hard it is.

Yesterday, led by the Milwaukee Bucks, the black players canceled the playoffs because of what happened in Kenosha last Sunday.  And, they are talking about doing the same for today.  First off, the Bucks should be made to forfeit the game.  And, secondly, who really cares about the NBA.  Very, very few people around here are even watching it.  Who cares?

And, I did not hear a single black player expressing sorrow about the five-year-old white boy in Wilson, North Carolina, who was murdered by a black man.  Shot point blank in the head in front of the boy's 6 and 7-year-old sisters.   They seem to only care when a white person kills a black person.

So, go ahead NBA, cancel the season to show your grief about what happened to young Cannon Hinnant.  Have you even heard of Cannon Hinnant?

Does anybody who supports Black Lives Matter know what they actually sand for?   To me, BLM means rioting, looting, burning, confrontation and hate crimes against statues.  They remind me a lot of a group from Germany's history called the Brown Shirts.
