Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

The Second Civil War: Defense Act, Trump, Veto, Twitch, Naval Academy, Bowling Green and Alabama

DECEMBER 12, 2020

**  Senate votes through Defense Act with huge majority and dares Donald Trump to veto move to raise troops' pay and strip Confederate names from bases.  (This means quite a few Republicans voted to pass it.)

**  Twitch updates their  harassment policy, bans Confederate flag, explains why  using slurs is permitted.

**  Defense bill opens door to erasing Confederate names at the Naval Academy, and more for Maryland military posts.

**  Historic homeowners say they have not been contacted about Confederate  marker's relocation.  (Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Bowling Green was named the state capital of the Confederate state of Kentucky in 1861.  The marker originally was on the campus of Western Kentucky University, but taken down amid BLM and white minion uproar.)

**  Historian gives solutions for Alabama Confederate monument.  (Gadsden, Alabama.  Emma Samsun monument.  Leave monument but put up contextual signs around it.)

Come On Twitch, What's Your Game? Norfolk Does a Good Job on Statue Relocation

DECEMBER 10. 2020

**  Twitch  officially bans blackface, swastikas and the Confederate flag in new, targeted guidelines.  (I had never heard of this so looked it up.  Apparently this is a big thing with folks who play those video games.  I've never played any but seen enough commercials and heard enough about how bloody and nasty those things are, so have to wonder what the Confederate flag did to get on the outs.)

Plus, what is a Twitch anyway?

**  Congress set to  strip Confederate names from US military bases, flouting Trump veto threat.

**  Sons of Confederate Veterans praises Norfolk's handling of monument relocation.  (The city did do a good job with the relocation into a cemetery.  But, I wish those who wanted it moved had paid for it instead of public funds.  You want it moved.  You pay for it.

Plus, it is less of a target for BLM or NAACP hate crimes now.  Well, hopefully.)
