**  Biography of Braxton Bragg re-examines  legacy of 'hated' Confederate general.  (How about some none Civil War II news on occasion.)

**  Liberty County  Schools parents upset  after student shows up  wearing confederate (Confederate) flag costume.  (Hey WCTV, Confederate is a proper word.  Do you know what you're supposed to do with proper words? Bristol, Florida.  Two black parents were upset after their daughter had gotten in trouble last week for wearing a hair bonnet.  The student's Confederate attire was a whole lot over the top, though.  The parents had every right to be upset.)

**  It's time to change the names of Jacksonville's schools named after confederate (Confederate) leaders.  (Hey, Florida Times-Union, Confederate is a proper name.  Do you know what you're supposed to do with proper names?)

**  Belo Mansion in Dallas to be renamed  due to AH Belo's  ties to Confederate Army.  (Texas.  headquarters of the Dallas Bar Association.  Alfred Horatio Belo commanded a Confederate regiment during the war and was wounded twice.  There is also an A.H. Belo corporation which owns several newspapers.  I imagine that name will have be changed as well.)

So Sad That Cities Across America Have to Prepare for BLM Riots As Decision in Minneapolis Approaches

What has the United States come to where anytime court decisions are handed down that a certain group of people don't like, every city has to prepare for the inevitable BLM riots (even though our extremely biased media refers to it as peaceful demonstrations and civil unrest)?

So sad.

Now, I agree with PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS, but that is rare when that certain group is involved.  It degenerates to confrontation with authorities, lots of really bad language, burning, looting and in general rioting.

This did not happen when O.J. was acquitted in one of the most racist trials in U.S. history, but that was because that certain group got what they wanted.

Wouldn't it be something is the verdict goes against Blacks and their BLM, if they did have peaceful demonstrations?

We don't need another 2020.

I guess some folks need those new large screen HDTVs, top of the line cell phones, jewelry and clothes.

About That Disgrace That Took Place Yesterday in D.C.

Those pictures of the Trump mob swarming over the outside and inside of the U.S. Capitol was alarming to say the least.  The fact that a group like this could get into the building and interrupt the workings of the government is unbelievable.

I hope never to see it again.  The photos of the idiots all over the outside and inside the Capitol are ingrained in my mind now, along with the Twin Towers burning on 9/11.  I hope the authorities are able to track them down and prosecute (at least better than they did with the BLM agitators).

I did find the media's comments on what happened of interest.  NBC, ABC and CNN came out and called what happened riots.  And, they were.

However, I saw that during last summer's Days of Rage by the BLM and their white minions, that the rioting, burning, looting and hate crimes committed were called civil unrest.

Hey, boys and girls, a riot is a riot is a riot.

I hope never to see pictures like those idiots climbing all over the Capitol again.

Chicago Cubs Player Jason Heyward Makes a Statement Over Racial Concerns

Jason Heyward believes Blacks in the United States are not being treated fairly.

He chose to sit out this past Wednesday's Cubs game to show his concern. 

Whatever the actual treatment of Blacks in this country is, this man certainly doesn't have much to complain about.  He has signed an eight-year contract with the Chicago Cubs for $184 million.  Not exactly chump change and mistreatment in my book.  He also got a $20 million signing bonus and has a base salary of $21 million, coming to a total of $23.5 million a year.

I just can't buy multimillionaire black athletes who talk about how bad it is to be Black in the United States.

Hopefully, the Cubs will dock him his salary for that game.  But, I know they won't.

Well, if Jason Heyward will sit out a game for black victims of the police, he will also sit out a game for the five-year-old boy, Cannon Hinnant, who was recently killed and whose death was all but ignored by the national media, something they sure don't do when a black man is killed by police.

Whose Side Is the Media On in This BLM Thing-- Part 2

Again, the Chicago Tribune just calls this "civil unrest."

Continuing with the article:  "Mission South Chicago was one of many businesses in the neighborhood damaged in late May during weeks long civil unrest that prompted several dispensaries (what marijuana shops are called in Chicago) to close.  The bulletproof glass inside the dispensary was destroyed, some computers were taken and marijuana inventory was stole, Krane said.

"Krane declined to say how much inventory was lost, citing the company's ongoing insurance claims, but repair costs reached six figures.

"Still, the dispensary wasn't as badly damaged as surrounding stores, Krane said.

" 'There were other stores in the neighborhood that were burned.  Most of the aesthetics at the dispensary were not damaged,' he said."

And, does this sound like simple "civil unrest?"   And, nowhere in the article were there the words Black Lives Matter who were running the "demonstration" when the rioting and looting began.  They are so responsible for it and not those "outside agitators police and city officials like to refer to as the reason for the violence and looting.

For some reason, our media is trying not to connect BLM with the Riots, Burning and Looting.

Whose Side Is the Media On? Black Lives Matter or American Citizens and Business Owners?

An article in the July 31, 2020. Chicago Tribune "South Side marijuana dispensary could reopen" by Abdel Jiminez.

"Two-month closure forced by unrest."

Okay, "unrest."  What exactly is that?  Did someone not get enough sleep?  Did a vocal confrontation take place?

Let's see.  Two months before July 31 would put you at the end of May, beginning of June.  Was there something going on in Chicago that could be considered "unrest" at that time?

Let's continue with the article and see.

"Mission South Chicago marijuana dispensary (you can now buy marijuana legally in Illinois to help raise money for the broke state) will reopen after closing for two months due to damage it suffered during civil unrest following George Floyd's death in late May."

Oh yes.  There was that "civil unrest."  Only I would have to call it rioting and looting.  Who was rioting, looting and committing arson?  And, what happened to this marijuana store?

A group by the name of Black Lives Matter was having demonstrations in Chicago which the media and mayor described as peaceful.  Then, it wasn't so peaceful.  It is kind of funny that whenever Black Lives Matter hits the streets, often we have that "civil unrest."

Don't you think that "civil unrest" is a much nicer name for "riot" or "looting?"  Why would a respected newspaper like the Tribune just call what happened "civil unrest?"

Who Is Cannon Hinnant? Who Is George Floyd?

Go ask the next 100 people you meet these two questions.

Of the people I asked, three knew who Cannon Hinnant was.  Everyone knew who George Floyd was.  Of the people I asked, twenty-one more knew who Cannon Hinnant was when I mentioned that he was a five-year-old white boy shot point-blank in the head by a black man in North Carolina, but they didn't know his name.

There were still a whole lot of people who did not know who Cannon Hinnant was even with the extra information.

I myself did not know who Cannon Hinnant was until this past Friday and he was executed on Sunday, August 9.

Why is his death relegated to barely mentioned, if at all, on out national media, especially TV news and newspapers?  As far as I know, even the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times had not mentioned it.  I'be been watching the news a lot and the only mention here in Chicago was a one-minute segment on the local Fox TV station.

Next time you see BLMers and heir white minions out demonstrating for George Floyd, you might want to mention Cannon Hinnant to them and see if they know who he is.

Central Camera to Reopen After BLM Looted and Burned It-- Part 3: Owner Not Angry at People Who Destroyed It

The 72-year-old Don Flesch, owner of Central Camera, quickly earned praise on social media for keeping his cool as BLM looted and then burned his place of business.  He further refused to be angry at the people who destroyed it.

"What good does anger have, and what good does thinking about what's gone?" he said.  "I'm angry about what's tied to the legacy of this poor guy, Mr. Floyd ... that there were riots that destroyed things in his name.  That's not in his name.  That bothered me quite a bit and it still does."

Since that night, several Central Camera employees occasionally have been setting up a tent outside the ruined store to sell merchandise.  But a lack of people in the Loop, because so many companies have people working from home as well as the numerous businesses looted and destroyed by the BLMers, have hurt sales.  Flesch wonders how many of his 17 furloughed workers he'll be able to call back.

And, still many media outlets just refer to those nights as demonstrations and not riots and none of them uses the term BLM when mentioning what happened.

**  Kenneth Cooper Alexander column:  A fitting salute  for a true patriotic hero.  (Sgt. William Harvey Carney, 54th Massachusetts.  African-American Civil War (and Spanish-American War) monument in Norfolk, Virginia. The Confederate monument in Norfolk has been removed after being "vandalized (hate crime).  I sure wish the media would stop referring to damage done to Confederate statues and memorials as being "vandalism."  It is nothing less than a hate crime and should be treated as such.)

Was the New York Times Owned By a Family That Owned Slaves at One Time?

**  Letter:   North or South, 'leave all American statues alone'.  (I can agree with this sentiment.)

**  Family that owns the New York Times reportedly had slaves, supported the Confederacy.  (July 21, 2020 Daily Caller.  I can't help but chuckle at this one, because the Times along with the Washington Post are among the biggest backers of BLMers taking down the Confederate statues.  Well worth a read.  This article is based on a N.Y. **  Fight over Confederate base names  unsettled even after lawmakers back changes.

**  How the Army might rename Confederate installations.  (June 20, 2020, Navy Times  A list of possible replacement names.  Worth a read.  Like I said, rename all for someone other than a black person for the next ten years, then they can be renamed after Blacks then.  The wounds of this Confederadication campaign are still too raw.

**  Bastrap cemetery board punts decision on Confederate monuments relocation.  (Texas   Bastrap has two Confederate monuments and both might be removed from the courthouse grounds. Fairview Cemetery might be the new location of one of the monuments.)

**  Springfield school renamed for John Lewis.  (Virginia.  Robert E. Lee High School renamed for Civil Rights leader John Lewis who just recently died.  I am in favor of this if the majority of the students are Black.  I came across the number 80% minority at the school, so this was a correct call.

**  Va. school board member  wanted to ban Confederate  flag attire.  Others disagreed.  (From the Confederate-hating Washington Post.  Just because one person doesn't like something, it is up to the majority to make the final decision.  Not the ONE!!)

**  A holiday whose time has passed.  (Guess which one.  Lee-Jackson Day)

**  CNN reporter compares GOP senators to "the Confederacy" after voting against additional witnesses.  (And guess whose side CNN was on.  For that matter, guess whose side Fox News was on.  Wouldn't it be wonderful to have media who don't take sides.)

**  Opinion:  We need to stop sayin' 'Ole Miss'  (From the Univ. of Mississippi student newspaper.  You know, Ole Miss and that "S" word.)
