Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

**  Cop suspended over Confederate flag rant on Tik Tok:  'F-------- Democrats  started the KKK.'  (Well, they did.  Potty mouth cop.  But, now that we are holding everyone accountable to what happened in the past. it is time for the Democrats to own up to their KKK past.  Right guys?)

**  The fight over  Confederate statues  continues in the South, despite last summer's protests.  (That's a good one.  Protests?  They were more like riots complete with burning and looting.  Let's hope that now the media knows what a riot looks like after that was what they called the attack on the Capitol in January.  Last summer it was simply civil unrest.)

The Second Civil War: North Carolina License Plates, Tennessee, KKK, Florida Holidays, Massachusetts

MARCH 9, 2021

**  Group sues NC over end of Confederate license plate.  (North Carolina Division of Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV).  Of course, if the SCV plate is not allowed, someone should take a look at the license plates of certain fraternities and sororities.  Must be fair you know.)

**  Lawyers request removal of KKK leader's remains from Memphis.  (Nathan Forrest, of course.  The SCV want the remains to be reinterred with them.)

The Confederacy Under Attack: VMI, Gettysburg, A.P. Stewart, Arkansas and Lexington

OCTOBER 18, 2020

**  At VMI, black cadets endure lynching  threats, Klan  memories and Confederate veneration.  (Virginia Military Institute.  If this is true, the offenders should be kicked out of school.  There is no room for that behavior at any school, especially a military one.

More Lists, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina,

OCTOBER 6, 2020

**  Confederate statues  come down around the U.S., but not everywhere.  (Has SPLC list of 28 Confederate statues  still standing after efforts to remove them.  However, still waiting for a complete list by these prolific listmakers about the number of BLM "protests" across the country that have turned violent with rioting, looting, arson and hate crimes.  However, this article has the 28 statues and how they ended up still standing, so of interest.)

**************************************

SEPTEMBER 20, 2020

**  King George  seeks to unravel 'knotty history' of  Confederate memorial.  (King George County, Virginia.)

**  In Baltimore, Harriet Tubman honored where Confederate statues once stood.  (Not that Harriet Tubman doesn't deserve recognition, but putting her statue where the Confederate ones were is just rubbing salt into the wound.  Put it elsewhere.  I also believe that the Arthur Ashe statue and that one at the art museum in Sad R. should be removed from what used to be Monument Avenue.  The art museum one should go inside and Ashe placed elsewhere.  The name Monument Avenue should also be stricken and no monuments put up there in the future.  Turn it into a park, but without a black name.)

**  Special prosecutor  to determine future of investigation into Richmond mayor's removal of Confederate monuments.  (Sad R..  That removal contract given to one of the mayor's political contributors is highly questionable.  Like they said, something stinks in Sad R..)

How Low Will BLM Stoop? Go After Confederate Women. Letting the People Vote On It.

 SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

**  Confederate flag box  hung from tree at Nashville black-owned  business property.  (Tennessee.  At least the business did not have to be worried about being looted or burned as might have been the case had BLM had anything to do with it.  No need to put up a "Black-Owned Business" sign here.)

********************************

SEPTEMBER 4, 2020

**  Herman:  Battle brewing over  marker at former Confederate woman's home.  (Austin, Texas.  Formerly the Texas Confederate Woman's Home, opened by UDC in 1908.  Blacks want it removed or changed to tell of UDC connection with KKK.  Will the depravity of those supporting Confederadication know no boundaries?  Women?  Come on!!)

**  Judge:  I-64 Confederate flagpole not a monument.  (Virginia.  120-foot pole flying a 30-by-50-foot flag.  Obviously BLM folk want it down so trying to find legal way to take it down.  At least they are not actively trying to destroy it as is usually the case.)

**  Matthews will put Confederate statue up for referendum  in 2021.  (Virginia.  Let the people vote on it.  Too bad they couldn't do it this year.  I will live with what the people say, unlike BLM who won't if they lose.)

Alabama, Letters, Schools, St. Augustine and Sad Richmond

AUGUST 6, 2020

**  Alabama lawmaker who celebrated KKK leader faces arrest for theft.  (Forbes.   Will Dismukes.  Allegedly stole from his place of employment  between 2016 and 2018.  If he is guilty, he should also resign.  But reading the article I felt there was a definite slant to it.)

**  Letter:  Confederate soldiers were not patriots.

**  Letter to the Editor:  It's time to move on from the Confederacy.

**  What matters most in naming US bases.

AUGUST 7, 2020

**  Signs with Confederate school names go back up in Hanover County.  (Richmond Free Press.  A black newspaper.   Virginia)

**  St. Augustine's city manager  recommends site for Confederate monument.   (Florida)

**  City's Confederate monuments now up for disposal.  (Richmond Free Press by Jeremy Lazarus.  Besides the headline. the first paragraph went like this:  "Let the disposal begin.   The Richmond City Council  on Monday set in motion a plan to finally rid Richmond of most of the city-owned  statues and icons of Confederate  traitors. although  surprisingly, not at all."  I get the idea that Mr. Lazarus doesn't much like us.

Fort Sill, Weatherford, KU, Streets, Will Dismukes and Billy Graham

JULY 30, 2020

**  Fort Sill -- Could it become Fort Truman.  (Harry Truman posted here before he went off to WW I.  Probably not because it is named for Union brigadier general Joshua Woodrow Sill.  Article gives when Confederate-named bases came into being and possible new names.

Another thing, BLM may decide Fort Sill needs to be renamed for a black person.  In that case it just might be renamed.  How about Fort Tubman or Fort Douglass?)

**  Parker County commissioners  vote to keep Confederate statue.  (Weatherford, Texas   There were violent clashes over it already.  I am shocked that another group of politicians stood up to BLM.)

**  KU expert advocates renaming of Confederate  named US military posts.  (As in Kansas University.  So surprising that a college professor would say something like this.  About as surprising as a BLMer saying something like that.)

**  Confederate monuments:  General Albert Pike joined in an effort to expel free blacks from Arkansas.

**  More than fifty Williamson County streets named for Confederates.  (Tennessee.  Of course, this is really a hit list for BLM.)

**  Will Dismukes resigns as Baptist pastor but no plans to leave legislature  after KKK leader celebration.  (Alabama.  A very biased article.)

**  In overheard call, Trump asks  senator to preserve the name of Fort Lee.

**  Panel approves  model of Billy Graham statue for US Capitol.  (North Carolina  Will replace one for Governor Charles Aycock who was a white supremacist.  Known as the "Education Governor" for advocacy of N.C. schools.)

About That Memphis Thing With Nathan Bedford Forrest-- Part 1

From the May 12, 2020, Fox 13 News (Memphis, Tn.)  Remains of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest to be removed from Health Sciences Park" by Greg Coy.

Surprisingly, the news segment just said he was a Confederate general and that he was a former slave trader.  Probably the first time I've ever seen a news article not mentioning that he was a founder of the KKK.  I was shocked.

The remains if Confederate general and former slave trader Nathan Bedford Forrest  and his wife will leave Memphis for good.  Exactly when is not known because of the COVID-19 situation.

His family and supporters and the group that operates the park have reached an agreement.  The lawsuit about his remains is over.  A spokesman for Forrest's family has told Fox News that the bodies will be taken to a place near to where the general was born.

This argument in Memphis has been extremely divisive.

His remains and those of his wife were buried in what is now known as Health Sciences Park in 1904, not in the cemetery as was directed by his will.  The park was known as Forrest Park until recently.

The Ultra Left Plans SCV Protest, School Name Change

February 26, 2020

**  Sons of Confederate Veterans conference hits Raleigh this weekend.  (Considering the source, The Progressive Pulse,  you know where the "HITS" comes from.  A coalition of local anti-racist organizations called Smash Raleigh Racism is organizing a protest event  across from the convention site.  It appears this group just recently formed to have this protest.

Kind of interesting what they had to say in the Progressive Pulse:  "The Sons of Confederate Veterans  are a white supremacist  organization with ties to the KKK, League of the South,  and other violent fascist groups."

Oh, well.   Here's hoping these folks don't disrupt the SCV Division meeting as they plan.  And, that they don't do anything illegal.

**  Should Orlando school named for Confederate general change its name.  (Florida--  Stonewall Jackson Middle School.  The website already refers to it just as Jackson Middle School.)  The site had a poll as to whether the name should be changed.  So far, 74% say no.  In 2017, the school board voted to change the name of Robert E. Lee Middle School to College Park Middle.

**  City to pay over $365K to cover plaintiff's attorney fees in Confederate statues case.  (Charlottesville, Va.)
