Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

VMI, Juneteenth, Wildman's Again and Kentucky

JUNE 18, 2022

**  Under attack:  Virginia Military Institute's culture forced to change.  (You don't ignore your history.  Especially your proud history.)

**  Sunday is Juneteenth:  How did that come about?  (Not my holiday.  Take away Confederate ones and replace with black ones.  I don't think so.)

**********************************

JUNE 19, 2022

**  Georgia city official resigns after Confederate shop reopens.  (Kennesaw, Georgia.  Wildman's Civil War Surplus reopened after Woldman's death.  Awww!  Poor politician.)

**  Kentucky Supreme Court to review monument removal decision.

That Mess in Jacksonville or What You Got Against Women?

June 15, 2022

**  Council to decide fate of c(C)onfederate  monuments in vote Tuesday night.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  I  imagine this will result in the monuments being removed since Black and white wokers have been in such an uproar about them.  Maybe now they can start concentrating on the crime and murders in their city.  Makes you wonder where their priorities are.)

**  Council votes down  resolution to remove Confederate monuments.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  Well, that was a fast decision after the prior listing above.  One of the statues is of Confederate women.  Sounds a bit sexist to me.)

**  Resolution to fund Confederate statue removal in Jacksonville fails.  (The vote was 13-6 against it.  Cost expected to be $1.3 million.  The bill sponsor says he has private donors signed up to remove them.  I would support removal as long as those who want them removed pay for it themselves.  And, that amount has to cover reinstallation.)

**  VMI students, alumni  push back against Confederate memorials.  (Virginia Military Institute.  SPLC release.  I wonder what race the alumni and students were?  What about students and alumni who wanted the statues to remain?)

Civil War II: Hispanic Name, School Names, Sad VMI, Virginia, Geirgia

AUGUST 25, 2021

**  Hispanic caucus calls for Fort Hood to be renamed for Mexican-American general.  (Congress.  Renamed for Gen. Richard Cavazos.  A deserving person as well.  But, of course, there are those who want every base renamed for a black person. So, they might disagree.)

**  More than a year after vote, Montgomery community still waiting for school name change.  (Alabama.  Of course, that vote was by a school board.  The vote should have been by the public these schools in question serve.)

**  How VMI committees are working  to introduce more inclusivity on post.  (Virginia Military Institute.  Shame on them for the Jackson statue.  Of course, the term inclusivity means more black stuff.)

**********************************

AUGUST 26, 2021

**  Updated:  Northampton County to remove Confederate monument Thursday.  (Virginia.  100 years old.)

**  Athens' Confederate memorial is back up in a new spot.  (Georgia.  Dedicated in 1872.)

*********************************

MAY 7, 2021

**  Where Confederate monuments remain across Florida.  (Yahoo News using SPLC research.  Map of Florida counties showing where they still stand and where they have been removed.  Sounds like more of a "Hit List" to me.  You thing SPLC wants them removed?)

**  As US rebrands  bases named after Confederates, what other nation  would have honoured  traitors?

Does Black Lives Matter Mean Hate? VMI, Albertville, North Carolina and West Virginia

NOVEMBER 15, 2020

**  VMI Visitors  Council moves Stonewall Jackson statue.  (Also the one for Francis J. Smith who served in the Confederate Army and  a memorial to VMI cadets who fought as a unit at the Battle of New Market.  (This is a very disturbing thing.  That Virginia governor had a hand in this.  About time for a recall if you ask me.  But, how could the council do this?)

NOVEMBER 16, 2020

**  Protests continue  in Albertville after confederate flag removed and put back up.  (Alabama.  Come on guys.  Proper Name!!)

**  Fate of Tarboro's Confederate remains unknown.  (North Carolina)

**  Seventeen members of West Virginia's Senate call the phrase "Black Lives Matter" as hate speech.   (I agree with that.)

NOVEMBER 1, 2020

**  Franklin among six Virginia counties holding Confederate monument referendums.  (This is the way all questions about Confederate monuments should be settled.

**  Your View:  Relocate Confederate monument.

**  VMI to remove  statue of Confederate Stonewall Jackson.  (Virginia Military Institute.  And this one really hurts. )

**  Police pepper spray  antiracism demonstrators in front of Confederate monument in Graham.  (North Carolina)

Removal of Confederate Statues at Gettysburg Would Be a Mistake. VMI, Alabama, Voting on Removal and Memphis

OCTOBER 31, 2020

**  VMI to relocate Confederate statue.  (Lexington, Virginia Military Institute.  A very sad day when this venerable institution no longer wants to be connected to a man who essentially is VMI, Stonewall Jackson.)

**  Marshall County to spend $3,000 to protect Confederate monument, flag.  (Albertville, Alabama  This money should come from BLM, even though the fences are going up because of BLM activity.)

**  Alabama County plans fence  to protect Confederate monument.  (Albertville, Alabama.)

**  General election results for moving Confederate symbols in Franklin and Halifax counties on Nov. 3, 2020.  (North Carolina.  It will certainly be interesting to see how voting of statue removals shows tomorrow.  My thought is that most of the votes will go toward keeping the monuments, but, we will see.)

**  The 901:  What's next for Memphis parks now that Confederate statues are gone?  (Tennessee)

**  Monumental  issues:  Gettysburg's Confederate monuments tie into today's racial reckoning.  (Some want them removed (guess who?).  That would be a huge mistake.  Hopefully the NPS won't give into the Democrats and BLMers and their white minions.)

While Banning Hate Symbols, Schools Should Include BLM Symbols

OCTOBER 30, 2020

**  Conspicuous Confederate flag on I-95 in Stafford County removed.  (Virginia.  Eminent domain.)

**  VMI to remove statue of Confederate Gen. Stonewall Jackson.  (Virginia.  Very sad day.)

**  Clarksville to consider $3400 settlement in complaint over temporary removal of Confederate sign.  (Tennessee)

**  Charges filed  following incident at Confederate flag and monument sit-in.  (Alabama)

**  Confederate flag, swastikas,, other hate symbols banned from school property.  Howard County, Maryland.  Hopefully they also banned anything kind of BLM logo since those mean rioting, looting, arson and hate crimes.  They are REAL symbols of hate.)

Civil War II: Missouri, Mississippi, Voting, North Carolina, and Alabama

OCTOBER 21, 2020

**  Missouri capital city to remove disputed Confederate general marker.  (Jefferson City.)

**  Mississippi city will put decision on relocation of Confederate monument on ballot.  (Hattiesburg.  Commissioners couldn't decide in June.  People will note on it on Nov. 3.    This is the only way to decide this as long as both sides agree to abide by the vote.  Generally speaking, if BLM loses, they continue their destructive ways to get what they want.)

**  Lexington removed a Confederate statue to ease conflicts over it.  But tensions remain.  (North Carolina.   Since it was removed, that means BLM got their way.)

**  Oxford resident urges city officials to take action on Confederate monument ownership.  (Mississippi)

**  Alabama Confederate flag removal protester allegedly stabbed  justice group's inflatable screen.  (Albertville.  A wrong thing to do, but nowhere near as bad as what BLM does in Portland, Chicago and other cities.)

**  Carol Foy:  VMI's Confederate-tinged history needs a future of 'inclusion and diversity.'

**  JCMO Confederate marker is 'history.'  (Jefferson City, Missouri)

Come On Sad R., Take Down the Lee Monument. You Have Embarrassed Yourself Badly. Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and VMI

OCTOBER 19, 2020

**  Madison Co. commissioner: confederate  statue may be moved soon.  (Huntsville, Alabama.  WAFF, 48.  Hey!  Confederate is a proper name.)

**  Trial underway in Richmond in Robert E. Lee statue case.  (Sad R. and even sadder Va. gov.  I was wondering if that statue was still standing in Sad R.  I guess it is.  However, I want it either cleaned or quickly removed.  It is so sad to see what the city's mayor has allowed BLM to do to it.  Of course, if it is cleaned, the BLMers would just mark it up again with their profanity.)

**  'I want my art to strike up a conversation':  Warner Robins man paints with a promise.   (Georgia.  Painted part of mural around Confederate statue in Macon.)

**  Letter:  Leave the statue, update the plaque.  (Newton, Catawba County, N.C.)

**  Racism common at Virginia Military Institute.

The Confederacy Under Attack: VMI, Gettysburg, A.P. Stewart, Arkansas and Lexington

OCTOBER 18, 2020

**  At VMI, black cadets endure lynching  threats, Klan  memories and Confederate veneration.  (Virginia Military Institute.  If this is true, the offenders should be kicked out of school.  There is no room for that behavior at any school, especially a military one.

**  The battle fought at Gettysburg is far from over.

**  Letters to the Editor:  A.P. Stewart wasn't divisive, but the crusade to remove Stewart's bust is.  (Hamilton County, Tennessee)

**  Confederate past still remembered all around the state.  (Arkansas.  List of the status of Confederate monuments around the state.)

*****************************************

OCTOBER 19, 2020

**  Letters to the Editor:  Your View:  What our Confederate monument means.

**  Lexington Confederate monument to be placed on private property in Davidson Co.   (North Carolina.  Unfortunately, I am sure the BLMers will find it and desecrate it.)

Lee, the Face of the "Lost Cause", Let the People Vote to Decide, A Beach Towel Makes the News

JULY 31, 2020

**  Confederate monuments:  Robert E. Lee, the general who became the face of 'Lost Cause' mythology.  (Hey, they lost fighting for the cause of having a new country, so, that was the "Lost Cause."  Since so may died on both sides, I wouldn't call it exactly mythology.)

**  Floyd County Confederate monument  referendum issue remains undecided.  (Virginia.  Trying to decide if removal put to a vote of the people.  This is the correct way of determining whether or not a statue stays.  Something that's not sad coming out of Virginia.  Wow!!)

**  Unsettling report of a Confederate flag towel at Lighthouse Beach.  (Evanston, Illinois.  Now they're going after beach towels.  What about the people on the beach wearing the equally offensive symbols of hate and racism of the BLM?  The woman who made a big deal about this left work on purpose to start a confrontation.)

**  As the South's Confederate monuments come down, where will they end up?   (Good question.)

**  VMI to alter longstanding  traditions tied to its Confederate history, but leave statues in place.

**  Protest s renew calls  to remove Confederate monuments  at Texas Capitol grounds.  (Democrats want them gone.)

**  Not every fight over Confederate monuments end with a statue coming down.

That Sad Asheville Again, That Pesky Norwegian Flag, VMI Stands Up, Sad Virginia and a Gaston Vote

JULY 30, 2020

**  Asheville Confederate Vance monument to be 'replaced' by George Floyd hologram:  task force.  Will be shown on the shrouded Vance monument.   (Asheville, N.C.    Sure hope they are not trying to make a hero out of him.  What happened was a travesty to justice, but he was in no way an honorable or good man.  But, considering the city, this doesn't surprise me.  I'm wondering if they have started plans to rename the city and county since they were both named after plantation owners and you know they had the "S" word.)

**  Michigan  inn removes  Norwegian flag  as residents falsely believe  it's the Confederate flag: report.  (I still get a good chuckle out of this one.  Duh!!!)

**  VMI will not remove Confederate statues or rename buildings.  (Finally, a college with a backbone that is not bowing to its militant and revisionist professors.  Good for you, VMI.  Maybe there is some hope for Virginia.)

**  Portsmouth City Council unanimously votes in favor of relocating Confederate  monument.  (Virginia, sad Virginia.  I saw a picture of the monument.  BLM must be really proud of their work.)

** Gaston has plenty to say about Confederate monument.  (North Carolina.  County commissioners want to put it to a referendum, something BLMers don't want.  The relocation of any monument should be put to public vote.)
