Renamed it for Katherine Johnson of NASA, a black woman. Why is it that everything renamed has to be of a black person. Don't get me wrong, she is very deserving of all honors, but COME ON!! Will Wythe County and Wytheville in Virginia now have to be renamed?)
I must admit that I had never heard of George Wythe (but have gotten cheap gas in Wytheville, Virginia often). Go to Wikipedia and read about him. A remarkable man even if he did have slaves.
