Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

FEBRUARY 18, 2023

Founding Fathers Zero, WWMs One

**  JANUARY 4, 2023

**  Virginia school board votes to rename  high school named after Founding Father who owned slaves. (Sad R., Virginia.  George Wythe High School.  Renamed it for Katherine Johnson of NASA, a black woman.  Why is it that everything renamed has to be of a black person.  Don't get me wrong, she is very deserving of all honors, but COME ON!!  Will Wythe County and Wytheville in Virginia now have to be renamed?)

I must admit that I had never heard of George Wythe (but have gotten cheap gas in Wytheville, Virginia often).  Go to Wikipedia and read about him.  A remarkable man even if he did have slaves.

Renaming Those Army Bases, a Couple of 'Wins', About That Albert Lea, Minnesota

DECEMBER 2, 2022

**  How Army bases in the South were named for defeated Confederates.  (New York Times.  By 1917, Army policy stated that all bases that housed Southerners should be named after Confederate commanders.  An interesting account of all nine bases whose names will be changed.  Personally, I support changing the names because they did fight against the United States.)

Let Those Who Want Monuments Gone Pay for Them

MAY 6th, 2022

**  St. Landry Parish Confederate monument could be removed for free, or at least low cost.   (Louisiana.  I hate to see these contractors making so much money removing Confederate monuments, so this would be a good one.  But, I still say that all costs for removal, storage and relocation should be paid by those who want them removed.  No public money should be used.)

**  Why historians think  Cinco de Mayo   prevented the Confederacy's win in the Civil War.  (Hey, a real Civil War piece here.)
