**  Buildings, hills honoring Confederacy on Georgia bases among items considered for renaming.  (Georgia.  Fort Benning has five hills or ridges named after Confederates.  That's a big no-no.)

**  Commission to review  more than 750 military signs and markers to see if they need to be renamed.  (That Confederate thing, you know.)

**  Dallas is 4-0 in battles over Confederate statues and monuments-- with one more lawsuit pending.  (And, that 4-0 is anti-Confederate.  The SPLC will be so happy.)

**  Artist  Sonya Clark  weaves a corrective to the story of the Confederacy.

**  'Maliciously' taking down a Confederate monument in Florida is a second degree felony.  (This should also apply to anyone committing a hate crime of any sort.  Taking down a Confederate monument is a hate crime.)

**  Legal  settlement ensures protests are allowed around the Alamance Confederate statue.  (North Carolina.  NAACP racist group sued for this.  Protesters also allowed to swear at police.  Next thing you know, they'll be back in court seeking that destruction to the statue will result in awards and honors all around.)

**  Jax's Chamber of Commerce urges school district to change Confederate school names.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  There are six named after former Confederate generals.)

**  Confederate 'cavalry'  rides through Georgia's Stone Mountain Park  after permit denied.  (SCV's mechanized Cavalry group. About 100 motorcycles.  Peaceful.)

**  Arkansas House votes to end state's 'Confederate Flag Day.'

**  Biography of Braxton Bragg re-examines  legacy of 'hated' Confederate general.  (How about some none Civil War II news on occasion.)

**  Liberty County  Schools parents upset  after student shows up  wearing confederate (Confederate) flag costume.  (Hey WCTV, Confederate is a proper word.  Do you know what you're supposed to do with proper words? Bristol, Florida.  Two black parents were upset after their daughter had gotten in trouble last week for wearing a hair bonnet.  The student's Confederate attire was a whole lot over the top, though.  The parents had every right to be upset.)

**  It's time to change the names of Jacksonville's schools named after confederate (Confederate) leaders.  (Hey, Florida Times-Union, Confederate is a proper name.  Do you know what you're supposed to do with proper names?)

**  Belo Mansion in Dallas to be renamed  due to AH Belo's  ties to Confederate Army.  (Texas.  headquarters of the Dallas Bar Association.  Alfred Horatio Belo commanded a Confederate regiment during the war and was wounded twice.  There is also an A.H. Belo corporation which owns several newspapers.  I imagine that name will have be changed as well.)

**  SC legislator  fighting to remove confederate (Confederate)  flag from license plates.  (WPDE.  You'd think someone there might know that Confederate is a proper name and should be capitalized.  Maybe they know the word should be capitalized, but are doing this to yank my chain?)

**  Trump's Republicans have dumped Lincoln  -- they're the Confederacy now.  (I might add that the Democrats have dumped the South and are the BLM Party now.  Anybody ever hear of a Yellow Dog Democrat in the South Before 1960?))

**  Process to remove confederate (Confederate) statue in Caldwell County continues months after approval.  (Looks like KXAN would know that Confederate is a proper name and should be capitalized.  Texas.  Who will pay the $20,000 to take it down and relocate it.  I think those that want it gone should pay.  Hey, put your money where your mouth is.)

**  Warren County Commissioners seek referendum regarding Confederate statue.  (Virginia.  As it should be.)

**  Richmond is open to ideas  for future of city's Confederate monuments.  (Sad Richmond.  Again I ask that absolutely everything, not just monuments, regarding the Confederacy be removed from his city.  It will be as if Sad Richmond did not even exist during the Civil War.)

**  After removing Norwegian flag over Confederate flag confusion inn owners find a solution.  (Michigan.  Isn't that just the silliest thing.  They have been accused of being racist even though they have two black kids.  Just because of the confusion between Norway's flag and the Confederate flag.  They think they might have a solution, though, as they will fly the Norwegian vimple.  I doubt that will keep BLM and their white minions off their backs.  It still looks a little like a Confederate flag.  I'd never heard of a vimple before.  See, you learn something everyday.)

**  Many in largely black South Dallas neighborhood content to let Confederate cemetery rest in peace.  (Texas.  Has words Confederate Cemetery on its entrance.  But this could cause problems if the UDC or SCV were to go in and do cleanup and repairs.)

The Problem With Police. Confrontations Can Lead to Bloodshed. Was This a Case of Mistaken Identity?

**  Black Dallas church alleges intimidation by pro-police rally.  (I wrote about this earlier and have to say the church has a point in this matter.  But putting up a BLM banner means they're picking a side.)

**  What's the problem with the police?  Start with the negative reporting about them.  (Definitely.  I was just watching the Chicago police release video footage of protests at Columbus statue which shows what those officers had to endure, 49 police injured with 18 hospitalized.  Then during questions, all one reporter harped on was the black activist female who was injured by a cop that night.  Also the media being reluctant to call a protest that gets out of hand a riot as well as not saying these riots and looting take place during BLM activities.)

**  Man who pointed a sniper rifle at crowd at Weatherford protests arrested, deputies say.  (Well, first off, those "protests" were violent by then, so actually more of a riot.  This is what scares me the most as there will always be armed persons on both sides and all it takes is one little thing to cause that to erupt in bloodshed.  The police did the right thing in arresting him.)

**  East Atlanta's Gen. McPherson  monument mysteriously damaged.  (Georgia  Who do we know that goes around attacking statues these days?  Oh yes.  And Gen. McPherson was a Union officer, not a Confederate one.  And the monument is located where he was killed during the Civil War.  Watch the video of Lenora Scott.  She is quite a wonderful lady.)

**  That's not just one Confederate statue standing in the District.  Nearly a dozen more stand in the U.S. Capitol.  (Don't worry, they won't be there long, especially if Pelosi has her way.)

**  California city named for a Confederate general will not put name change on November ballot.  (Fort Bragg)

**  Confederate memorial in Knoxville's Fort Sanders neighborhood vandalized.  (Tennessee.  Of course, this is not "vandalizing" but a hate crime.)

**  Geico quietly takes down ad about referencing Civil War massacre of black troops.  (I haven't seen this one, but, it was in the Washington Post, so take this however you wish.  See next post for details.)

**  Dallas begins removing Pioneer Park Confederate monument.

**  'I'll teach my grandkids to hate you':  Confederate waving Missouri woman says in video.  (A Real Nut Case.)

**  Oldest US city hopes to move forward from Confederate past.  (Well, what about its Spanish past?)

**  Baptists and Walmart criticize rebel-themed Mississippi flag.

**  Hampton has a school named after a Confederate officer.  Leaders are investigating all of the district's namesakes.  (Virginia.  They're just figuring this out?)

Something to Think About Before Taking Down Those Confederate Statues-- Part 2

The Arcata, Cal. mayor was estimating the cost at $525,000 based on  the cost of four statue removals in New Orleans awhile back which cost a total of $2,100,000.  Divided by four, that came out to $525,000 each.

Why was this cost so high?  Litigation, extensive police involvement and overtime.  I might also add the cost of repairs and cleaning the statues after the "Vandalism" actually "Hate Crimes" committed against them.

San Antonio spent $258,680 to remove its statue.  (No more visiting there for awhile for me.)

Cost in Dallas to remove one statue came to over $450,000.

Actually, I can think of a much cheaper way to remove or take down a statue.  Round up those UNC "students" who took down Silent Sam, pay their airfare to California and let them do their thing.  They'll commit their "vandalism" for free.  And, they have experience at that.
