Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

Renaming Bases, Rewriting History and Who Should Get Those Statues

FEBRUARY 16, 2022

**  What's taking so long?  Rename those Confederate bases.

****************************

FEBRUARY 17, 2022

**  How a Confederate daughter  rewrote Alabama history for white supremacy.   (Mary Bankhead Owen.  Director of the Alabama Department of Archives and History.)

**  Another  time capsule apparently found while removing Richmond Confederate monument.  (Jefferson Davis statue pedestal.)

I still, can't believe that all the Confederate statue stuff was given to the black history museum when it should have been turned over to the SCV and the UDC.

Talbot Boys Gone, MTSU Forrest, Those Pesky Confederate Memorial Bases, Proper Name Boys and Girls

SEPTEMBER 16, 2021

**  Confederate statue to be removed from Maryland  court house lawn.  (The Talbot Boys monument.)

**  Second attempt to remove name of Confederate general from MTSU building.  (Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.  Forrest Hall, Army ROTC.  Hey, just pretend it is named after Forrest Gump who was quite an Army hero according to the movie.)

**  County commissioners vote to remove former Confederate memorial base.  (Warren County, Warrenton, N.C.  First they want the statue gone then the base of it.  Never happy.)

**  Historian Karen Cox:  We have   'No Common Ground' on Confederate monuments.  (North Carolina)

**  Maryland's last c(C)onfederate  statue to be removed to Shenandoah Valley.  (Come on WHSV.  Didn't you ;earn in school that Confederate is a proper name?  That's Shenandoah Valley as in Virginia.  It should have stayed somewhere private in Maryland and close to Talbot County.)

SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

**  Confederate AP Hill statue may be headed for Culpepper.  (Virginia.  Please hurry up and get it out of Sad R.)

**  Robert E, Lee and the Trumpists:  Why a Confederate  "hero" is still important.

Sad Asheville, N.C. Sinks to a New Low. Move It Folks. Don't Destroy It.

MARCH 26, 2021

**  Civil War historians tackle Confederate ideologies  in transnational context.  (Univ. of Virginia)

**  Three Dallas campuses to lose Confederate  namesakes.

**  Asheville votes to remove monument to Confederate governor.  (Well, the people of the city itself did not vote.    City Council did.)

**  4 Confederate statues stood as Baltimore  landmarks.  Now their pedestals stand ready to send a new message.  But what?

**  Confederate statue removed from Courthouse Square in Emporia.  (Virginia)

**  Confederate monument honoring  former Confederate  governor will be destroyed.  (Sad Asheville NC.  No big surprise though.  How low can they go?  We'll see.  Asheville now goes on my list of places to never visit, and hopefully never even drove through.  That is low.  Very low.  Even for them.)

Oh Those Confederate Flags and the Flag Flap. Bad Amazon, Schools, Editorials, Temporarily Out of BLM Reach

OCTOBER 2, 2020

**  Amazon still selling kids' Confederate soldier costume that Party City pulled.   (So What!)

**  Region 15 school board to consider banning Confederate flag, Nazi swastika in dress code.  (Waterbury, Connecticut.  There is no way the Confederate flag is comparable to the swastika.  If the flag is banned, then so should anything with BLM on it.)

**  Editorial:  What is our Confederate memorials weren't so heroic.   (Historian William "Bud" Robertson on them.  Interesting take.  Give it a read.)

**  Confederate soldiers monument returned to Cumberland  Drive after removal for safekeeping in June.  (Clarkesville, Tennessee.  Isn't it sad that these have to be removed to keep the BLMers and their white minions from getting their hands on them and committing hate crimes. Probably won't be able to stay there long once certain folks find out about it.)

**  To the Editor:  Displaying Confederate flags shows support for  evil and white supremacists.  (I kind of feel the same way about anything BLM.  Definitely a racist outfit if there has ever been one.)

**  Letter to Editor:  Flag Flap:  Confederate flags cause controversy.  (Back in the day it sure didn't.  I used to fly it from the top of my garage in Illinois, along with a U.S. flag, and never had any problem.)

'Good' History vs. 'Propaganda.' North Carolina, Arkansas, Virginia and Texas

 SEPTEMBER 17, 2020

**  Civil War historians, authors call for 'good history' to counter Confederate  monument 'propaganda.'  (Whose side do you think they might be on?)

**  City removes Confederate monument.  (Rockingham, North Carolina.  It had been the target of hate crimes committed over and over by BLM.)

**  Designs unveiled for park to house Confederate statue.  (Bentonville, Arkansas)

**  Fairfax County votes to remove marker of Confederate death.  (Virginia.  It marks where Captain John Marr was killed at the Battle of Fairfax Court House on June 1, 1861.  Also will remove two cannons.  Cost of removal $20,000.  Well, at least those companies, including the one of Sad R.s mayor, are making money on all this.)

**  Confederate flag flies again off I-95 north of Fayetteville.  (North Carolina.  Had been removed by SCV because of forecast bad weather.)

**  A school by any other name may be controversial.  (Texas.  Changing school names and others.)

Some Resistance to Confederadication Starting to Come Into Play, Arlington National Cemetery, Gettysburg and the "Dukes"

JULY 6, 2020

**  At Arlington Cemetery, a Confederate monument to the South and slavery still stands.  (Washington Post.  And guess what the Post wants done to it.  However, I don't recommend BLM and their white minions go there to desecrate it.  It would be bad for them.)

**  Crowd rallies to keep Confederate memorial in St. Augustine.  (Florida.  It is nice to see an occasional objection to the drive to take down everything Confederate.  They were peaceful and no attempt was made at "vandalizing" any nearby statues or markers that Blacks might hold dear. In other words, no TOPPLINGS, graffiti or swear words.  No hate crime committed here.)

**  Local activists take credit  for toppling Confederate monument.  (Seattle, Washington.  Erected by UDC in 1926.  It has been repeatedly "vandalized" and defaced in recent years.  Track these people down and arrest them.  But, wait, this is in Seattle where the mayor let the "activists" take over a part of his city.  I kind of doubt anything is going to happen to these persons who committed a hate crime.

**  The world's largest Confederate monument carved into Georgia rock face is fielding new calls for removal.  (Stone Mountain, Georgia.  Again, I am hoping authorities put it under strict guard before BLM and their white minions blow it up.)

**  Historians  assess 'troubling ' Confederate monuments at Gettysburg.  (A "historian" would not favor taking down those monuments.  Perhaps if they are BLMers or their white minions they would.)

**  Volo Auto Museum  meanin' no harm with Confederate flag car.  (Volo, Illinois.  About seven miles from us.  Believe it or not, there are people who want it out of there because of the you-know-what on the roof of it.)

**  NC group angered by removal  of statues  hangs giant Confederate flag.

**  Gettysburg reckons with Confederate symbols.  (After all the statues are gone from public places, BLM and the NAACP will be starting on Confederate monuments in Civil War battlefields.)

It Is Nice to Finally Start Seeing Some Resistance to This New Black Tryanny.  --Old Secesh
