Civil War II: Confederate Statue Removal Orgy Begins in Richmond. Of Nooses, Racial Tirades and Hate Crimes on Confederate Statues.
JULY 1, 2020
** Trump vows to veto $740 billion defense bill if Confederate-named military bases are renamed.
** Congress weighs renaming Fort Bragg, other military bases honoring Confederates.
** Why descendants of Confederate generals are happy to see their names go. (Politico Magazine tracked down 16 descendants of eight of the Confederates bases are named for. The majority want the name gone, but some want it to remain.
** Richmond mayor orders removal of Confederate statues. (Big surprise there. Only I thought he'd order it the second after midnight of July 1.)
** 'No compromise' over Cleveland Confederate statue. (Tennessee)
** House panel passes ban on Confederate 'Stars and Bars' flag on military bases. (Perhaps they should also have included not allowing anything with BLM on it as well.)
** Confederate monument removed from Georgia county courthouse.
** Noose in Rocky Mount, racist rant in Fayetteville: What does it mean for this moment in social change. (North Carolina. Neither of these reactions is acceptable in my book. But, then again, Blacks and their white minions get to desecrate and commit hate crimes on Confederate monuments with impunity. Which is worse?)
And Remember, BLM Folk Lynched a Confederate Statue in Raleigh. --Old Secesh
