Military Base Names Still a Problem
JULY 6, 2020
** House lawmakers want to prevent military construction funds for bases named after Confederates. (But allow funds for ones named after Union generals?)
** Ken Midkiff: History cannot be erased, but we don't need to honor all of it. (And guess which part he doesn't want to honor?)
** Pentagon considering ban on Confederate flags at bases.
** Wasserman Schultz pushes to deny money for military bases named after Confederates.
** Letters: Move Weldon CSA statue to cemetery.
** Change Confederate military base names to honor those who fought for America.
** Statue sits at center of controversy. (Arkansas)
