** Author contributes $10K to move Confederate monuments from Bastrop courthouse. (Texas. Ryan Holiday is the author. Again, I propose that the people who want statues removed should put their money where their mouths are and pay for it themselves. After all, most every monument was put up by private funds. They should also be taken and all expense incurred moving and relocation them should be paid by private sources as well.)
** Anniston council votes to move Confederate monument out of city. (Alabama. Monument to Confederate artillerist John Pelham who was born nearby. Believe it or not, one of the city's black members voted against it because of the $25,000 fine for doing that in Alabama.)
** Confederate monument on Isle of Wight staying put for right now, as board appoints task force to study future. (Virginia)
** 'The truth about Confederate-named schools' explainer by Franseca Cattaneo.
** Deal to move Confederate monument from courthouse in Fort Smith rejected. (Arkansas)
** Kaine says Confederate base renaming provision would survive presidential veto.
