Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

The Second Civil War: Charlottesville, Kentucky, Texas, Forts, Arkansas and the Mississippi State Flag

 SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

**  Hopkins County working on new proposal for Confederate statue concerns.   (Madisonville, Kentucky)

**  Albemarle County to remove 'At Ready'  Confederate statue on Sept. 12.  (Charlottesville, Va.  The only thing sadder than that Sad R. town in Virginia is that Sad C. town.  Not only a statue but a cannon and cannonballs to be removed.  I'm kind of surprised it wasn't taken down on July 1, when the state ban on removing Confederate statues was removed.  This is one town that hates its Confederate heritage.

**  Confederate monument protesters face  arrest in Gainesville. (Gainesville, Texas.  They moved from the sidewalk to the street which was not legal and then refused to leave the street.  Leaders face Class B misdemeanors.

**  More than half of troops polled support changing names  of bases  honoring Confederate leaders.

SEPTEMBER 4, 2020

**  Confederate monument removed from Bentonville Square.  Monument added  to square in 1908.  (Arkansas.  Again, why so long?)

**  Mississippi unveils Confederate-free state flag.  Now voters have to decide whether it stays.  (The commissioners chose the magnolia flag which was my choice, but now the people will vote on keeping it as the state flag.

Well, it does have red, white and blue colors which were the ones in the Confederate flag, so Blacks might be offended.  Wait a minute, isn't there another flag with red, white and blue?  Maybe that one should go too.  And, it flew over slavery a lot longer than the Confederate one did.  I still like the Skeeter Flag, though.

Oh yes, I wonder if the state universities will fly this flag if it is chosen.  They wouldn't fly the old one and yet the state continued to give them money.)
