APRIL 25, 2021
** Baton Rouge may create mission to rechristen streets named after Confederate soldiers. (Louisiana. Hopefully not all of the streets will be renamed after Blacks.)
** Residents again ask King George to move Confederate monument. (Virginia. With a headline like that I thought for a moment it was the Revolutionary War all over again. Of course, the "residents" who want it moved are NAACP folks. Imagine them wanting a Confederate statue moved.)
** Remembrance of Confederate soldiers. (Eleven Southern states will observe Monday, April 26 as Confederate Memorial Day.)
** Georgia park linked to confederacy (Confederacy) views, gets their first black chair. (Stone Mountain. Looks like someone at the Los Angeles Sentinel would know Confederacy is a proper name and should be capitalized.)
** Loyola alumni work on renaming Confederate street names. (Loyola University New Orleans)
** Virginia high school rededicates to John Lewis, dropping Confederate name. (Springfield, Va. Robert E. Lee High School.)
