Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

Sylva Sam, Alamance County, Virginia, Fort Belvoir and USS Antietam and Renaming Forts

MAY 21, 2021

**  Changes to Sylva Sam Confederate statue approved, mixed reactions.  (Jackson County, NC.  There will be bronze plaques covering some parts.  Cost $13,000)

**  Dueling protests come to  Alamance County over  Confederate monument.  (Graham, North Carolina.)

**  Council makes move to relocate Confederate statue.  (Farmville, Virginia.)

**  Fort Belvoir, cruiser Antietam  under consideration  for renaming by the DoD commission.  (These are not on the original list.  Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is named after a plantation. The cruiser USS Antietam is named after a Civil War battle.  But, didn't the Union win that one?)

**  Commissions says no decisions  made yet in renaming Army bases that honor Confederate  generals.

MAY 22, 2021

**  Removal of Confederate names  could affect hundreds of sites.  (Removal on all things military.)

**  Confederate memorial highlights deep-seated  divisions in Alamance County.  (North Carolina.  That Graham statue again.)
