** Community members hope Charlottesville City Council acts swiftly on Confederate monument removal. (Virginia. You'll never guess what race the community members are who want them gone swiftly. The council will discuss removal May 3. Maybe they will decide to keep the monuments. Yes, sure.)
** Voting begins on name-change process for Duval County schools named for Confederate leaders. (Jacksonville, Florida. Voting whether or not to change names. This is the way it should be done. They are also looking into changing the names of Jean Ribault High School and Middle School. Ribault was a French Huguenot who established Fort Caroline in Florida by where Jacksonville is today.)
