** Voters narrowly approve keeping Confederate statue in place. (Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi. 51% voted to keep the statue. There are also a lot of Blacks living in the city and county as well as a university (University of Southern Mississippi) which may account for why the vote was so close.)
** NC Looks to take Confederate Jefferson Davis' name off highway.
** Five states OK measures eradicating racist language, symbols. (Rhode Island removed the word plantation from the state's title. Let me know when they've gone too far. Official name is: "The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. So, now the word plantation is a bad word? Other states are removing Jim Crow laws from the books which is a good move.)

** Fairfax County has removed Confederate monuments from its courthouse property. (Virginia)
** Confederate monument in downtown Dublin not being removed, plaza also to honor Herbert 'Hub' Dudley. (Dublin, Georgia. Herbert Dudley was a prominent black businessman and civil rights activist. An acceptable compromise for me anyway.)
