** Charges dropped for man who opposed court's Confederate image. (Louisa, Virginia. A Virginia judge tossed a capital murder case out for black defendant. Robert E. Lee painting in the courtroom. Ridiculous, but, hey, it's Virginia. Still believe there must be something wrong with the water in that state. Way too much craziness happening there with all that Confederadication.)
** Lowndes County to pay fine for Confederate statue removal. (Haynesville, Alabama. It will cost them $25,000 since it was illegally removed. Now, who goes to jail?)
** 'Down Along with That Devil's Bones' dives into Confederate memorial debate. (This is the name of a new book about statues of Nathan Bedford Forrest. Great name for a book. Focuses on statues of Forrest in Nashville, Memphis, Selma, Alabama and Murfreesboro.)
** City bids "Bon Voyage" to 1879 Confederate veterans memorial. (St. Augustine, Florida)
** Williams: 'Lost Cause, Potential Future': The reimagining of Richmond's Confederate monuments. (Sad R.)
** Which Virginian will replace Lee statue at U.S. Capitol? Public hearing to be held. (Unfortunately, I am sure it will be replaced by a black person. Rubbing salt into the wound.)
