**  Louisiana  closer to removing Confederate-themed holidays.  (Let's see. Remove a Confederate holiday, add a black holiday.  I see.)

**  Preliminary work begins on Caddo Confederate monument removal.  (Louisiana)

**  Straw ballot on Confederate monuments  fails to win Jacksonville City Council support.  (Jacksonville, Florida.  There was to be a straw vote on it in November.  But. let's face it.  Those who want the statues removed know that if it is put to a people vote, they will lose.)

**  Work to scrub the Confederate stain from military bases is off to a good start.  (Washington Post.  Nothing like some good old-fashioned non biased reporting, right Post?)
