** More than 750 Defense Department items with names tied to the Confederacy listed for possible renaming. (Let's just hope they're not all renamed for Harriet Tubman.)
** Contract signed for Confederate monument removal. (Caddo Parish, Louisiana. $782,000 for removal and relocation to Pleasant Hill Battlefield. Let's hope that those who want it gone are paying for this. Put your money where your mouth is. This shouldn't be paid by public funds.)
** Assault charge dismissed for Confederacy supporter who talked about beating up Tami Sawyer. (That supporter was way out of line and his tirade just proved her right.)
** Permit OK'd for Confederate Memorial Day at Stone Mountain Park. (Georgia)
I Don't Know, But That $782,000 Seems Awfully High. Is Someone Out To Make a Killing? --Old Secesh
