Are these UDC members the white supremacists who put up all those racist monuments BLM has warned us about? How about those Confederate veterans above them? Some mighty desperate and despicable folks if you ask me.

MAY 24, 2022

****************************

MAY 25, 2022

There are lots of articles about the base renamings.  At this point, the names are just recommendations but will likely be the new names.)

The Second Civil War: Renaming Fort Bragg, Juneteenth, Home Costs?

**********************************

MAY 24, 2022

**  A Confederate street name could cost you.  (Washington Post.  Your home could be worth 6% less if it is named after a Confederate.)

**  Group wants voters to decide on fate of Confederate monuments in Jacksonville.  (Florida.  In other words, let the people vote on removal.  Of course those wanting them removed won't go for this because about every time it is put to a vote, the decision is to keep them.)

Should Blacks Be Required to Make Reparations for the Role Their Ancestors Played in the African Slave Trade?

MAY 22, 2022  (Lots of 2s)

**  The last two days, there hasn't been any new news reports regarding this relentless attack on Confederate heritage.  This is a great thing.  I sure would like to stop this blog and will if the other side ever stops attacking.

Come on guys, I need a break.

**  A descendant  of a Confederate surgeon makes  reparations in a small way.  (New York.  Descendant of Confederate Dr. Hunter McGuire.)

(Should Blacks be required to make reparations for the part their ancestors in Africa played in the slave trade?)

A Virginia County Votes to Let Confederate Statue Remain

MAY 21, 2022

**  Shenandoah considers restoring Confederate school names.  (Virginia)

**  Supreme Court takes up right to sue over removal of Confederate monuments.  (Georgia)

I tell you, Virginia is starting to impress me with the way some are standing up against this onslaught.  I may have to cancel my boycott of that state.  (Not that they would care anyway.)

The Second Civil War: Renaming Those Streets, Referendum? Islamic Involvement, Renaming

MAY 16, 2022

** A civil war among neighbors over Confederate-themed streets.  (Fairfax, Virginia)

**  'Just absurd':  Virginia teen  who passed out at party before racial slurs were drawn on him.  Virginia.  A 16-year-old black student was at a party with his white friends and passed out.  Well, that should be a lesson learned.  Don't drink underage and especially don't pass out.

*************************

MAY 17, 2022

**  Jacksonville City Council pans c(C)onfederate monument referendum.  (Florida.  Wonder why they did that.  Most times the people are allowed to vote on removal, it loses.)

**  CAIR supports  call for Virginia city of Fairfax to drop Confederate street names.  (CAIR is Council on American-Islamic relations.  Again, with all the terrorist activity attributed to Islamic people, should they be saying anything?)

**  Brooklyn's historic Fort Hamilton exercises  federally-mandated edict to banish  Confederate ties.  (General Lee Avenue renamed John E. Warren Avenue.  A well-deserved honor for him as he won a Medal of Honor recipient.)

Those Horrible Murders in Buffalo

Again, we have another idiot calling himself a white supremacist who went off track and murdered innocent Blacks in Buffalo, New York, last Saturday.  Another Charleston, South Carolina.  Murder and killing is never the answer.

Too bad he did not do the right thing and remove himself.

He will surely be found guilty and let's hope New York has capital punishment.  He doesn't deserve to live after what he did,  And, I don't care why he did it or if he is insane,  he deserves the death penalty and not one that takes twenty years either.

I see that the idiot in Charleston is still alive also.  Too bad.

Confederate Statues to a Black Museum? I Think Not

MAY 13, 2022

**  Black History Museum saving Confederate statues.  (Sad R.  The five Confederate statues taken from Monument Avenue are going to a black museum.   I sure don't agree with this move.  They should have gone to UDC or SCV.)

****************************
MAY 14, 2022

**  Today they are the Mavericks, but UT-Arlington once celebrated Texas' Confederate past.  (University of Texas at Arlington.  They were the Rebels.)

****************************

MAY 16, 2022

How about that, no items for yesterday.  That is so pleasant.  Like I said before, as soon as these attacks on the Confederacy end, so will this blog.  I have way too many already.  Of course, with the murders that took place in Buffalo Saturday, I imagine they will be increasing.

Let Those Who Want Monuments Gone Pay for Them

MAY 6th, 2022

**  St. Landry Parish Confederate monument could be removed for free, or at least low cost.   (Louisiana.  I hate to see these contractors making so much money removing Confederate monuments, so this would be a good one.  But, I still say that all costs for removal, storage and relocation should be paid by those who want them removed.  No public money should be used.)

**  Why historians think  Cinco de Mayo   prevented the Confederacy's win in the Civil War.  (Hey, a real Civil War piece here.)

**  CAIR welcomes Louisiana House passage of bill dropping Confederate  holidays.  (Council on American-Islamic Relations.  With all the appalling things some Muslim people do it is amazing that they would get involved with this.  Perhaps they should clean up their own house.  After all, what religion are the Taliban?)

**  Heritage and  honky-tonk:  Confederate Railroad front man Danny Shirley stands his ground.  (They come under fire from Blacks and "Wokers," but won't change.  More power to them!)
