Confederadication: Fort Benning Lynching, Charlotte, NASCAR, Bubba, Maryland and North Carolina

AUGUST 4, 2021

**  Fort Benning memorializes soldier lynched 80 years earlier at the post as Army acknowledges an injustice.  (Georgia.  A horrible thing.  Imagine, this was a U.S. soldier who was lynched.  Hope they also reopen the case.)

**  Rally to call for removal of Confederate statue, one of the last in Mecklenburg County.  (Charlotte, North Carolina.)

**  Confederate flags,  drones, cigarettes.  What you can and can't  bring to Go Bowling at the Glen.  (NASCAR Race.  Got to make Der Bubba happy, you know.)

**  Confederate streets in Potomac renamed  after black historical figures Geneva Mason and William Dove.  (Maryland.  Why do all Confederate streets have to be renamed after Blacks?)

**  Community activist receives threatening letter hours before Confederate statue rally.  (Charlotte, N.C.  That should not have happened.)

**  Protesters call for removal of Confederate statue in Cornelius.  (North Carolina)
